While visiting my husband's hometown in Ridgewood, New York, he took me to this incredible Italian restaurant and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The place was spotless with such a warm, inviting atmosphere. I ordered the spaghetti puttanesca and he had the chicken parm, and both dishes were absolutely A+. We went all in with appetizers and dessert every single bite was amazing, awesome costumer service and a clean bathroom. Hands down, this is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. If you're in the area, it's a must-try!

I was recently staying in the area and didn't want to venture too far for dinner one night so I walked over to this spot and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone working here was super friendly and it really gave off a welcoming energy. The interior is well done and nice enough for a date, but casual enough if you're looking to just grab dinner by yourself. I started with an order of the calamari which came out fast, hot and crispy. Super traditional presentation done right with a side of tomato sauce and a lemon wedge. For my main, I ordered the Chicken Francese which is always one of my favorites. It came with two nice-sized portions of chicken and a side of spaghetti. The chicken was tender and the lemon sauce was really solid. I do wish the spaghetti came in the same lemon sauce instead of tomato sauce though. I would probably ask for that next time as tomato vs. lemon sauce don't work side by side for me. Overall a nice spot that seems to care about the food they're putting out. Great find in this awesome little neighborhood.

This restaurant has a classic Italian trattoria feel with a rustic wood trim, classic mural and great decoration. They had great ambiance for dates, dinners with friends, or even solo. The food was some of the best Italian food I've had in NYC. I had the the lamb Ragu special, pictured below, and was blown away by the flavor and the freshly and perfectly cooked pasta. The calamari tasted freshly breaded and cooked; I would honestly even come here and just get a giant plate of it. I also got to try the sardine pasta and will probably order it next time. All in all a great restaurant for any affair with great service!

Was craving spaghetti puttanesca one night and saw that this place has it, so we gave it a shot! Ordered delivery, food came out quick and everything was still hot. We also got some calamari, carbonara, the seafood pasta.. honestly everything was delicious and satisfying! One of the better pasta places in the area. Will definitely order again.

Food and service was amazing. We went around 4 and it was perfect. The restaurant is clean, and has an old school feel. Only wine, beer and soft drinks. This is the second time we come and try the meatballs of the menu. The first time we had the seafood platter with mussels, clams, shrimp in a marinara sauce. Bread was served, warm and fresh and the sangria was refreshing.

My daughter had a taste for Italian. This place kept on coming up on my search so we decided to go. Best decision. Food was delicious. Service was great. I enjoyed my visit here. Will definitely return

Nice neighborhood spot with very friendly service! Came here two times and enjoyed the food on both occasions. I tried Mozzarella in Carrozza and two pastas - Fettuccine Alfredo and penne with tomato sauce. All dishes very pretty good! Pastas were creamy and not too heavy. I had a great time here and would gladly visit again.

It was in the middle of the day, so the service was also pretty good, but it wasn't super packed so it was nice and quick. The bruschetta was fire. The event was fun, I worked up an appetite & wanted to try a establishment in the area. A combination of asking some Yelpers (before leaving the event), viewing places on the Yelp App & Italian being my favorite eventually led me to Soledad Luna. On a corner across the street from the 7 train 40 St - Lowery St Station, Soledad Luna is easy to locate. Upon walking inside, I was seated quickly by the bar area. The restaurant has cool Wall Art. Staff were welcoming, greeted me w/ warm smiles, are attentive & provided good customer service. The complimentary Bread Basket was great. My Crab Cakes appetizer & Chicken Breast in Lemon Sauce w/ Mashed Potatoes Entree were both amazingly delicious! Everything was flavorful. Service was great - our main server, who hails from Bologna, Italy, has a good sense of humor and genuinely seems to enjoy sharing the wonderful food of her native country with guests. She was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, though she had her hands full on a busy Thursday night. As for the food: great focaccia (on the house!), followed by a fresh and abundant simple green salad, the branzino (cooked en papillote with olive oil, lemon, and salt - simple preparation let the fresh taste of the fish shine through), with a side of roasted potatoes (tender & crispy deliciousness), and topped off with hazelnut semifredo, rolled in cocoa - the perfect sweet ending! My husband had the sausage with beans, spaghetti with seafood, broccolini on the side, and affogato for dessert - raved about all. He had a Negroni - his go-to drink - which earned high praise, and we shared a crisp and refreshing bottle of Pinot Grigio. Highly recommend!!

They immediately brought bread to the table and it was yummy! Because we were the last people to leave we ended up taking home extra bread and I've been eating it with my breakfast. So this was the meal that kept giving. We got the tricolore salad, fresh and simple. We then got the branzino and lasagna bolognese. Both were cooked perfectly. I never order lasagna but this was great! Branzino was fresh and flaky. We had this with a carafe of Chianti. I love that they have all 3 options for per glass, carafe and bottle! All of this wasn't too expensive either! Highly recommend if you're in this beautiful area.

Nice warm bread with a very flavorful olive oil started the meal followed by baked clams and buratta, baked clams were fresh and delicious, garlicy with a little red pepper bite, they use panko breadcrumbs and while they were definitely one of the the better baked clams ive had I think I prefer a more traditional breadcrumb. The buratta was fresh milky and creamy and paired perfectly with the camponta ( probably murdered the spelling on that). The oso bucco special was insanely good, fall off the bone tender, great sauce and the mashed potatoes with crispy panchetta were out of this world . My fish ..I want to say filet of sole?..i dont remember lol, was cooked beautifully covered with the same delicious breading as the baked clams and came served over a generous portion of spinach and garlic. Deserts were exactly what you would expect, classic and delicious and they also make a mean Manhattan..all and all I was very pleasantly suprised , this place is a definite gem on Grand ave , nothing can come close to touching it. My only complaint is the service could be better, started out great, then there was a shift change and it got crowded and I kindof fell off dramatically Also the ambiance could be better, its a nice space but too bright , that being said I will be back.
