octopus

very authentic italian food . be octopus appetizer is a must try ! so fresh and delicious and the pizza is fresh from a brick oven . anything you try here is delicious. customer service is amazing and inside is pretty as well

Rustico salad - A fresh mixed salad with cherry tomatoes, cheese, and assorted greens is presented on a dark plate. The salad includes leafy greens, sliced cherry tomatoes, and a piece of cheese. In the background, there are bread rolls and a small bowl, all placed on a marble table. The setting appears to be in a restaurant or dining area.

Neighborhood gem. I was craving brick over thin pizza and I found this little gem. It was EXACTLY what I dreamed of. Got the rustico salad, rigatoni, and the margherita pizza. Star of the meal was the margherita. Simple and tasty. This proves that a place doesn't need to be super complicated to be good. I will be back to try their home made raviolis too. looks like they have like 3-4 fillings.

Just absolutely delicious, everything. From apps to the bread to the main course. We could not stop eating. Service was great and staff was just so welcoming, 10 stars.

Absolutely the best Italian restaurant! The food was amazing, especially the pizza with high-quality ingredients. The shrimp bisque soup was very flavorful, and the homemade tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place!

Margherita Classica - A Margherita pizza featuring a thin, slightly charred crust topped with melted mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, and fresh basil leaves. The pizza is placed on a white plate on a table in a restaurant setting, with a bottle of water and a small dish visible nearby.

Amazing food start to finish. We were greeted by the manager who was so friendly and knowledgeable about the food. My family and i had a great time. Each dish that came out seemed to get better and better. Coal oven pizza melted in your mouth. the Osso Bucco fell of the bone. My kids loved the lasagna. You can tell they use fresh ingredients the quality and flavors of the food are amazing. Can not wait to come back.

Fried seafood and zucchini..in a cone

I've been following this resturant since they opened and it has always been on my list, with all the reviews of best Italian food in queens I figured me and the wife would check it out for our 10th wedding anniversary ...and I dont get it, im not even sure its the best Italian food on fresh pond road . The place does have a certain randomness though lol. When we arrived we were greeted by whom ill assume is the owner .. I believe he may have been drunk , I mean he could have had an inner ear disturbance, but something was definitely up. The interior was like a nice pizza place less then a restaurant, we grabbed our seats in a corner booth while listening to the random sound track playing in the background..a mix that had 80s metal and for some reason Supertramp every 3rd song ( not that I'm against any of that) .. the waitress that took our order seemed confused and would just say " ok" and walk away when she didn't understand something, we were having appetizers which we ordered, then I told her we were going to have a pasta course and then entrées which she replied "ok" walked awayand never took our order for the rest of the food After getting that all sorted out the apps and the wine came .. first we tried the sangria, it was some over sweet pre-made stuff out of a bottle, awful, so I ordered a pinior noir, for some reason they serve wine by the glass in a little carafe, they pour a quarter of a glass then you pour the rest..random again, and unnecessary. The apps were hit or miss , the fried seafood in a cone ..which doesn't come is a concern had no seasoning and just tasted like flour ..the dipping sauce might have been ranch dressing? The mussels and grilled octopus were very good ..next was the gnocchi in gorgozola sauce Packaged pasta the sauce was meh..had some random pieces of eggplant as a garnish. The entries were ok , I had salmon that was over cooked...it said it came with peppercorn sauce, which I'm pretty sure was just Ala vodka sauce with green peppercorn..weird..and my sides were ice cold My wife said she enjoyed her porkchop. The panacotta, like most of the meal was ok. The place is not great , not bad just incredibly average, I doubt I'll be returning , might be a fun neighborhood place though

Homemade New York cheesecake - A dessert plate contains a small, round cake dusted with powdered sugar, accompanied by whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce on a white rectangular dish. The setting appears to be in a dimly lit environment with blue lighting.

The seafood risotto was pretty good but the on of the mussels shells broke and it was annoying to spit it out/ could be a physical hazard. The pizza though was delicious but smaller than your average pizza. The servers were very attentive and checked up on us. I like how the lighting looks at night. Cheesecake was good but it's hard to go wrong with that. Wish there was more whipped cream though!

a basket of bread and a glass of water - The image shows a basket containing sliced bread on a table, accompanied by a glass of water with ice. In the background, there are condiments, including a bottle of olive oil and a pepper grinder. The setting appears to be an outdoor dining area with a blurred background, possibly at a restaurant or cafe.

I love Italian food and happy that nearby my doctor office has one. It was nice breezy day in the evening of Friday. I got a table outside with amount of food I ordered, it took 2 table together. I started with.............. - Arugula salad - nice and fresh, good mix with delicious dressings, cherry tomato, cheese and nuts. - Grilled Octopus - cooked perfectly! Soft and chewy but not unpleasant texture. - Mussels in white wine sauce - a little bit salty but teste, so I dunk some bread in the sauce and it was very good. - Linguine Clam sauce - actually, the menu was seafood but since I already had mussels and octopus so I asked the restaurant if they can made only clam sauce for me. Then for dessert, I had Cannoli and Cappuccino. I was so surprised, they had Cannoli because many Italians mostly have Tiramisu and something else. Service was some good some a bit not quite smooth; Chef was so friendly. He came out to my table and asked about how the food was. Waitress made some misunderstood and lack of communication. I talked to the owner and cleared everything up, so I understand that everyone is not perfect. Hopefully, If I have a chance to go to this place again, it should be improved.

The space is quaint and cozy, but what really made the night unforgettable was the hospitality, especially Grissel. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely cared for. Her knowledge of the menu, thoughtful recommendations, and ability to read the table were next-level. We all had different tastes and interests, and she somehow managed to guide us perfectly without ever feeling rushed or scripted. I honestly can't remember the last time we all felt so welcomed and celebrated at a restaurant. The food was outstanding across the board. The bruschetta was simple, fresh, and easily the best I've had. I ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce (add chicken), and if you're lucky enough to hear about the vodka sauce, don't hesitate. Every dish at the table impressed: ravioli, clams, risotto, and eggplant pomodoro with shrimp. All big hits. Even the chef stopped by at one point to share recommendations, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. We left feeling full, happy, and already talking about when we'd come back. An unforgettable girls' night, amazing food, and hospitality that truly stands out. Can't wait to return.

It's clearly a classic, long-standing place: there were many older guests, probably regulars for years, and also a good number of younger people too. Free bread basket built like a full-body gym workout. Service was top-notch -- drinks never empty, not once. Started with fried calamari and their house sauce... dangerous. Baked clams so good we used every carb on the table as a sponge. No crumbs left behind. Then the heavy hitters: veal parm + chicken parm combo like a tag team match. The chicken parm came out looking like a beautiful landslide of sauce and cheese -- couldn't even see the chicken and I wasn't mad about it. Also smashed the chicken fettuccine Alfredo: rich cream, butter, parmigiana, imported mascarpone... pure respect. Closed it out with chocolate mousse, then they hit us with free biscotti like a victory lap. Park Side isn't a meal -- it's a commitment. Queens stays undefeated.

It turned out to be absolutely fabulous. The standout? Their bread bowls. Warm, fresh, and perfectly crafted, they're truly to die for. When we walked in, it felt more like a busy pizzeria with a dining area than the trendy spot we were expecting. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we noticed right away that the menu didn't match what we had seen online. In the videos, every pasta dish came with burrata, but here it was an extra charge. The bread bowl itself was also a $7 add-on, which pushed the $25 pasta dishes to nearly $40 each -- a price that simply doesn't make sense for what you get. Staff was friendly, but the busboys seemed completely untrained, and service overall was slow. We did receive our minestrone soup quickly, but it was just okay. The soup's kidney beans and chickpeas were noticeably undercooked. When the pasta arrived, the disappointment continued. The burrata, which we paid extra for, was cold and hard rather than creamy. Even the waitress seemed surprised when we pointed it out. We also noticed that the regular pasta dishes (served in normal bowls) were much larger portions than the bread-bowl pastas -- despite the bread bowls costing more. At the end of the meal, the reality became clear: the bread-bowl trend is more gimmick than substance. With two pasta dishes and one soup totaling around $100, the value just isn't there. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Don't be fooled by what you see on social media -- the experience simply doesn't live up to the hype.

While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.

The fish was cooked to perfection, the cannelli beans I thought were going to be weird but it added a nice creaminess to the fish.
