Service was great, space itself was unpretentious and warm. Now, the food itself is what I need to address asap, and in detail. I had one Margarita slice, and one chicken and potato sicilian/square. Both were some of the best pizza I have had in my life, and I've eaten a lot of pizza as a NY native. Everything in the Margarita slice was balanced. The dough had a beautiful bite that gave under an excellent layer of mozzarella (which was smooth, chewy, and flavored just enough). The red sauce's texture was just right, not too pasty, and not too liquidy (it didn't simply run off the slice as I picked it up, but instead flowed). The crust felt like it was just made and tasted slightly buttery and warm. The crunch was perfect. The flop was great too as I picked it up multiple times for bites. The top layer held and never splattered off like someone plunging off a building with a splat. The chicken and potato square slice really surprised me. It was substantial in its volume, generous even. The chicken was plopped in a field of potatoes that were baked to perfection, while the chicken tasted savory and far from over seasoned. The crust on this was also perfect in its crunch, buttery taste and texture. All in all this was absolutely some of the best pizza I have ever had. I used the internet to recall the phone number of this 'business'. After the website of this 'business' loaded, it prominently displayed a $5 off deal so I called to place my order and to ask about this deal. I was immediately told the website and all the prices are out of date to which I replied, How am I supposed to know that? All that I was offered as a response is their website vendor is to blame. Starting to feel devalued as a customer, I nonetheless ordered two items for pickup, and for each item the 'person' on the other end of the phone had to call over to another 'person' for the price. Seems the 'staff' I reached this evening were simply making up prices on the fly. Once I finished my order, I was told the total is $52.50 and I was not offered the $5 off deal or any other consideration to show customer appreciation. Once I arrived at this 'business' to pick up my order, I was told the total is $57.50 I immediately indicated I was told on the phone the total is $52.50 to which the staff just shrugged and abruptly repeated my total is $57.50 This is a 'business' my friends and I have patronized many many many times as we have lived in the neighborhood our entire lives. Pizza shop in Glendale Queens Myrtle and Cooper ave GRACEPIZZA I used to like this pizza place, and today, had a terrible phone customer service experience. They wouldn't let me order over the phone because the man thought it was a prank for some reason, even after I gave my name and address. I usually order pies from this place. He insisted on me using the app, I told him the app doesn't allow my address to be delivered to for some reason. So I usually call to pick up or have it delivered. He didn't believe me and accused me of lying, saying that's not true, the app works and I'm pranking him. I tried to explain that I order alot over the phone. He asked if I would pay over the phone and I said yes. He still wouldn't let me order and said I couldn't even order to pick up. I had to come in first to confirm who I was as before I can order. (I hurt my spine at work, so I was hungry and hurt) I walked over but the interaction in person turned me away from ordering food. He was very dismissive of our phone conversation and ruder in person. It made me it lose my appetite. This was my favorite pizza spot, and I probably won't be back for a while, if I even come back. There are several pizza shops in my neighborhood, you would think customer service would be priority. Are you gonna order pizza or not was his attitude. He blamed me for the website, not accepting my address and for our weird phone conversation. He wasn't busy but rushed me to order or leave, so I left. I didn't make a scene. If I were to raise my voice to his level, there would have been a scene because he didn't seem like he would take any accountability for his irrational behavior. I'm for good customer service, and this definitely ain't it. What an awful experience when you are hungry and you have to decide, to go hungry or give a bad business money. Stores in my neighborhood have been closing for a few years now, and high prices and bad customer service are definitely the reason. They actually have good pizza, and I guess it allows them to get away with it. I really hope they see this review and also remember me because my business will be taken elsewhere. I ordered a few pies a month and sometimes there were other people that would also order because of my review on their pizza. If the guy was nicer in person, I would have ordered the pie I wanted. Ironically when I was trying to order on the website originally, I was leaving a nice message about their pizza and ready to give a good tip. Bad experiences don't deserve a repeat. Order a pie cashier says they don't accept Apple Pay even though on website clearly says they accept contact less payment. Sorry excuse for a pizzeria. Called the owners to order pizza for pickup. When I got there place was empty, workers were joking with eachother, and my pizza had not even been placed in the oven. On top of that, their Google business profile claims they accept cards, but upon arrival was told it was a cash only place. If you are still doing cash only in 2022, you are a Stone Age homosapien. Second of all, why state on the internet that you accept card when you do not? Nobody is going to use an ATM with a $3 fee plus a $5 charged by the bank just to get pizza! Ordered from here because I wanted something different. I ordered the Linguine Alfredo with chicken. The price was actually very very decent. Food arrived within the hour and still very hot, which was also a plus. However the food itself wasn't to my liking. The Alfredo sauce was kinda salty, watery and not creamy as I have had in the past.To be honest, it didn't have the taste or texture of something that was made from scratch. I cant lie, it actually tasted like something from a jar. The pasta was cooked perfectly, very perfectly to be honest. The chicken was cut into small cubes. Not dry at all, and plentiful. The only issue I had was with the sauce which is what brings it all together. I will order again, but this time will order something difference. Pulling up to this place it has really great signage that draws you in with a clever color scheme. The issue is parking that's where it loses a star it's only street parking available which is hard to find and when you do find it you have to feed the meter. The owner and workers are really friendly. They are always willing to serve you with a smile and hold small talk well. The food is really good and so are the drinks. Pizza is great but the owner is a poor excuse of a human and with an attitude like that he shouldn't be working in the hospitality business at all. Bad enough everything is so over priced now there's a "new" 15$ minimum on cards plus extra fees when you use a card and the crazy thing is when I asked if it was new he argued with me it wasn't new and he'd fire the guy that allowed me to use my card multiple times in the past.
