Outside the restaurant

I placed a takeout order today Jan/19/24. "I do think this is the third or 4th time I have ordered from here since 2020*" and I have no words to describe how satisfied I am with my orders. I went to pick it up myself. The place looks cute and charming. I have to go and enjoy the experience of eating in there. I ordered the Pasta Penne & Vodka with grilled chicken and it was so good I also ordered the Mussels with Marinara Sauce and it was delicious as always. Everything was yummy, the portions were huge, you literally get what you pay for, and more. I don't get the bad reviews I haven't had a bad experience with this restaurant, they are just amazing. Thank you for such a portion of good food, and for caring about the orders. Everything was well-packed. I highly recommend this place, do support our local business, and don't come here hating just because you feel like it. Don't be that person.

Oh, where do I begin with this "authentic" pizzeria experience? If you're looking for the taste of bland cardboard with a side of disappointment, look no further! The pizza slice here is a true masterpiece of mediocrity--a chewy, flavorless crust with a hint of something vaguely tomato-ish. It's almost as if they read about what pizza could taste like but decided, "Nah, let's aim lower." And the pasta--wow, that was a showstopper. If you've ever wondered what overcooked noodles smothered in a lukewarm puddle of what tasted like canned tomato soup would be like, then this is your chance. It's the kind of dish that makes you question your life choices. For the price, you're paying for the chef's apparent apathy, one gummy bite at a time. Truly, a culinary journey best left untraveled.

Slice of mushroom pizza

Went shopping for my restaurant across the street at Golden Mango but I was hungry and went to Enzo's for a slice instead. Not sure if they make mushroom pizza slices but the guy said he'd do it for me. I was so happy. The pizza was that perfect New York crisp. Got a bottle of mineral water and sat outside as I like to eat outdoor any chance.

Margarita pizzetta was delicious! One of the best that I've tasted the bread was so soft, crispy and warm, with All fresh intrigants. Best pizza in queens, good service. Love the frozen margaritas!!!

This place is great and yummy. Took a walk and accidentally found this place. It has a bar inside and outdoor patio seating.

Outdoor Heated Patio

Food was amazing as usual. Grilled Octopus is one of my top items on the menu and the Enzos Pizzetta, followed by a bottle of Nebbiolo wine. The beautiful heated patio for outdoor dinning is always warm an cozy.

Cheese pie was great as usual. However, vodka rigatoni slice was burnt and the noddles were so dry, it was inedible.

I ordered via ubereats. Cheese pie was good as usual but I ordered a vodka rigatoni slice and it was so burnt and dry, it was not edible

Lobster Ravioli Always my favorite!

Best pizza in town. The outside seating has a nice vibe. Full bar too. Those frozen Margerita's are fantastic.

All I have to say is check your bill. Low key scammers. We paid $130 for 2 cocktails and a jug of sangria.

This was my second time dining here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again…read more After enjoying a delicious meal paired with a fantastic all-jazz performance, I'm already looking forward to coming back. I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

I'm a big fan of Don Tequila, I've been a few times and I'm never disappointed!…read more Nowadays $14 drinks are pretty standard for the Forest Hills area, but the cocktails here are strong and tasty and worth the price. My favorites are the Tiki Colada, which is sweet with a red wine float, and the El Picosito, which is smoky and delicious. The margaritas and mojitos are cheaper and come in a few different flavors - these are also $7 during happy hour. The food is better than you'd expect for a bar. My absolute favorite is the grilled octopus appetizer, which is perfectly cooked every time. They have the classic Mexican staples (tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas), and the fish tacos and steak enchiladas are my favorite. The mango salmon and conchinita pibil are also great if you want something a little special. The tortilla soup with chicken is also way underrated, it's hearty, smoky, and perfectly seasoned - I've ordered this to go several times when I was home sick. Prices are pretty standard for Forest Hills, and the happy hour deals are a great value if you want the basics a little cheaper. The space itself is pretty big, and it accommodates large parties or smaller groups. The decor is cute, and there are several TVs always showing different games. As several other reviewers have mentioned, it does get pretty loud in here, especially when they have DJs there on the weekends. It's a matter of preference for sure, so to avoid it I usually go during the week or earlier on the weekends (as in I try to be out by 7pm on Friday-Sunday). This is perfect for me, as the regular playlist is pretty good and I usually catch the happy hour deals. The service is friendly and quick, especially the waitress with the short bob. HOWEVER - sometimes they add an 18% automatic gratuity and sometimes they don't. I've noticed that they typically add it if you're sitting at the bar or during busier times, but I'm not sure if there's a clear rule on this. I get it - they work hard here and the servers don't want to get stiffed by folks who have had a few drinks. It's clearly stated on the receipt, so it's not like they're trying to hide the charges. Either way, make sure that you double check the first receipt that they give you when they bring the check, since the final receipt (the standard one where you sign and tip) isn't itemized. Don Tequila is a reliable neighborhood spot, with great food and drinks. There are ways around most of the things that other reviewers have complained about. I'm happy to have them nearby, and I'll be back soon!

I've been wanting to check this place out ever since I heard about the rebranding from Metro Taco…read more I had only been here once before and remembered really enjoying the food, so my fiancé and I decided to finally go for a Friday night date night and very happy we did. We tried to make reservations for 6:30pm, but it gave us an error message that the time had been taken already, so I was assuming that the restaurant would be packed, but it was the opposite when we walked in. There were only two other people there. So I would definitely look into their reservations system. For drinks, I went for the mango margarita. 10/10 recommend the drinks. My margarita was delicious. their cocktail menu looks super fun, they have drinks that come out in little bathtubs and cute presentations. For food, we shared the ahi tuna tostada appetizer which was so good! super fresh and flavorful. For our mains, I got the chicken al pastor tacos (loved the flavors, especially the avocado crema) and he ordered the carne asada tacos, which were also packed with flavor. Portion-wise, for the price, you get three tacos, so it felt very reasonable. The tacos were definitely a hit for both of us. The only small downside was the service towards the end. everything started out great, but once we were done, it took a while to actually get the check and pay. Kinda funny how it took longer to leave than it did to get served. Not a huge deal, but just something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule..they definitely don't rush you out. Overall great vibes, great food, great drinks. I would absolutely come back!
