Crispy Onion Rings With Tartar Sauce

Live jazz band Sundays , great vibe and amazing service. I couldn't ask for more for a spontaneous trip to Neir's Tavern. There was no complaint from anyone with any of the food! Definitely try them out if you are in the area, they have a lot of history !

One of the oldest operating taverns, famous for being featured in Goodfellas. Old school, dark wood, nothing fancy. I had the Goodfellas burger, which was thick, juicy, and tasty. The fries were well seasoned and hot. Drinks were basic, but good. Other options include smothered nachos, Mac n cheese, Bavarian pretzel, cheese quesadilla, wings, grilled chicken, grilled salmon. Great service. This is not a tourist spot. It's definitely a neighborhood spot.

Neir's Tavern is indeed the iconic spot where a scene of Goodfellas was shot. They have cheap good drinks & the classic old feel of a bar- what's to dislike? I got the Haymaker's Punch with rum which was quite tasty, I can see why it's a staple in their drinks menu. All in all, I'd be back for the burgers & other drinks.

Support black own establishment. The outside decor of the bar stood out to me. Looks like a big two family house. Love the outside seating of the bar. Upon my arrival it was pack. Full house. I order a margarita at the bar. Which was made freshly and taste great. Service was great.

A fun, historic place. Super laid back, great mementoes to look at on the wall. On of the oldest bars in town. Reasonable prices, too.

So I was suppose to come to a Juneteenth event here but got the dates mixed up and ended up just getting an early dinner here. I sat at the bar and ordered from their happy hour menu. Place is quiet. The happy hour options are decent. I got a margarita and it was tasty and not watered down at all. Enough alcohol for me to just order one. I ordered the wings and mozzarella sticks, they were delicious and fresh. The fries were also good and plenty. I would come here for happy hour again. The bartenders were cool and it didn't take too long for my food to come. I just don't like to get charged for using a credit card but that is a common thing in NYC nowadays.

The most famous restaurant that you've never heard of, Neir's Tavern. A beautiful space that feels like home the moment you step through the door. I had Neir's famous burger, cooked medium-rare, with onion rings. The lightest but most filling burger I've had in a while. I also haymaker punch and what a kick that drink has. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended!

The NY skirt steak was delish. It was nice and tender and very flavorful. My wife got the goodfella burger as well as the Guinness. She enjoyed herself immensely. She likes smash burgers more but as for as thick burgers go, she said it's pretty good. She rarely compliments past it's ok. That's how I know it's good.

Neir's Tavern is one of those places that surprises you in the best way. I had never seen the movie it was featured in so I walked in completely clueless about its background. My friend lives just a block away and for nearly ten years he had wanted to check it out. Now that he is about to move he finally decided it was time to visit and asked me and another friend to join him. Going in with zero expectations made the experience even better. The bar is in a quiet residential neighborhood which is not where you would expect to find a place like this. That's part of what makes it so interesting. It doesn't feel like a typical food or nightlife area but that only adds to its charm. We went on a Friday night around 7 which was just after happy hour and there were plenty of open seats. The vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. It has a classic look and feels lived in but not rundown. I ordered some nachos and other finger foods along with a cold beer. Everything was really good. It's nothing overly complicated just solid food and drinks that hit the spot. What stood out the most was how easy it was to just hang out and enjoy the space. The staff was friendly and no one made us feel rushed. It was nice to be in a place where people actually talk and enjoy themselves instead of being glued to their phones or caught in a loud crowd. Even without knowing the history or the movie scenes connected to it I can see why people love this place. It is definitely worth checking out and I am glad we finally did.

This place is absolutely amazing . The menu is small but excellent choices and it has such a rich history that can't be denied . Went there today for lunch and had the bbq wings they were great meaty and not rubbery like some others I've had and perfect amount of sauce . My friend had the neirs burger it was juicy topped with onion lettuce tomato and onions with delicious well seasoned crispy fries . Oh also had a Stella draft nice and cold . Go and enjoy take pictures and absorb its rich amazing history as they're on their way to 200 years !

So good I forgot to take photos of the food before eating it!

I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Neir's Tavern in queens. I thought it was going to be a basic bar but to my surprise Neir's has so much history and has such a great vibe! The bar accommodated a party of 25 people; we had our own section in the back. I will say, it is hard to spot this place if you aren't looking for it. It's more like a neighborhood gem than a flashy bar on a busy street. It's wedged between residential homes. The servers were so nice and helpful! We ordered several dishes, the sampler plate which was quesadillas, chicken tenders & mozzarella sticks; chicken wings; Good fellas burger and nachos. The wings were so crispy and delicious! I heard the burger was also phenomenal. If I lived in the neighborhood, I can see myself going here often!

They host great comedy and trivia nights. The bartender Mike is very fun & knowledgeable. The food is always good--mostly typical pub fare, but very tasty. Fun neighborhood bar that's typically full of regulars, excellent vibe.

My grands kids, had a wonderful time and they understood the assignment! Which was to have fun. They were all over the place, winning tickets here and there, the excitement was everlasting! The service: One a person love what they do, they do it and the shine. O.T was our server. O.T was on point. Before you thought it, he was on it. It's like he has a sixth sense. O.T was very attentive and very engaging with not only my family, but with all of his other customers as well. O T interacted with my family and we loved it and him. I have never gone to a D & B or any other restaurant including CHUCK E CHEESE.. and found such an astounding person first, server second, and last but not the least; employee that fit the job description, rolled it over, flipped it twice, and conquered every aspect of customer service. O T should be employee of the century! The Food: I forget what my daughter had but there were no complaints, my granddaughter had Za, something that ever kid likes. My grandson is sd burger and fries. I should have had that but I opted for the sampler which consisted of pig n blankets, wings, and sliders. Every thing was really tasty but a bit too much for me. I was rescued by my granddaughter, she ate my last two pigs in the blanket. I guess she don't like blankets so she ate the pigs only. I don't think I'll be going to any other D & B, I mean when you've had the best service and all, the bar was set. Going anywhere else is below standard. Inspire more, Yelp more!

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

From the moment we sat down, the service set the tone for the entire experience. Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

The Cocktails: Expertly crafted and sophisticated. It was refreshing to have drinks that were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The coffee was served alongside dessert, it was rich and the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal. While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing. It did remind me of visiting Germany believe it or not like a schnitzel style cutlet but still very italian if that makes any sense.
