I finally made it into the store after ordering previously through Uber Eats. I ordered the upside down and regular slices. They were soooo good. The service was quick and they had a small section of seating inside and out. It was pretty busy here when I came in during lunchtime. I just read a Facebook post recently that put this pizzeria in the top 10 pizzerias in NYC. I think they have earned that accolade. My only pet peeve is they don't have small trays to put your pizza in rather than just the paper plates. This is a phenomenal place to go for the pre eminent NYC slice!
On my ongoing hunt for great pizza in Queens, I came across this hidden gem in Ridgewood. The shop is small with limited seating, and you can't order too many items on the fly(maybe earlier in the day)--so definitely call ahead to see what's available and place your order in advance. I got a pie, half cheese, half pepperoni/mushrooms, and it was chock-full of them!!!!! And they were delicious too, not the usual pepperoni everyone uses. The mushrooms were not from a can. The cheese pizza was perfection. I have to say, the crust is outstanding. Thin, crunchy, and full of flavor. This spot instantly climbed to the top of my Queens pizza list. You MUST add this to your next pizza crawl, BUT order ahead!!!!
Needed a bite before a show at Knockdown and I had this place bookmarked from the NYT pizza list. There was no line when we arrived at 7 PM on a Friday, but definitely come early if you want all slices available, because most of them sold out while we were eating! I tried: + Pepperoni slice + Grandma slice + NYM slice + Manopella Wowww so good. The manopella was the best, followed by the pepperoni and the NYM slice.
Placed in a quiet neighborhood. No hustle or bustle around, only with the buzz of locals. A small space with a few tables with friendly service. Delivering quality pizza with flavorful sauce with a good amount of sweet and little sour. A good amount of cheese with basil! and a thin crispy crust! I would def come back for their plain slices but really can't go wrong with any of them!
I discovered Mano's about 1.5 years ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite quick slice shops in Queens. It never disappoints and they have a good number of fun slice options with different toppings- white and red based. There's a decent number of seating and people seem respectful in that they eat and leave rather than hog up the tables. There's also a bathroom which is a plus. I hope this place sticks and stays as consistent for years to come.
Went back to see if Mano's still had the sauce safe to say this place still offers some of the best pizza in NYC. Went with the spicy vodka pepperoni slice and grandma slice. Both were delicious and had that crisp that's so good!
I'll start by saying that Mano's is some of the best pizza I've had in Queens, even NYC as a whole. I've ordered at least 5-6 times now and every pie is so good. There's a nice char on the outside, the crust is chewy and flavorful, and I absolutely love the vodka sauce and pesto on the Manopella. That pie is my favorite, without a doubt. I would highly recommend it to vodka sauce lovers. My only complaints about Mano's are the hours and ordering process. Google is telling me they are only closed Mondays so I'm not sure if that has recently changed.. could've sworn that in the past they were closed at least 2 days per week. Last time I tried to order they weren't accepting any orders on Uber Eats or Grubhub when they were open. I figured they shut down online orders because they got busy so I tried to call... crickets. No one answered! Also in the past when you do order on Uber Eats, it takes forever. Like an hour and a half and I'm only 15 minutes from the shop. I've had better luck with pick up when I can do so. I joke with my partner that they hate their customers with their hours of operation and delivery process. Business owners please don't take that too seriously.. and let me give you more of my money!!! I love your pizza and wish it was just more accessible. Will I be back? Yes of course! When I can get an order in.
Great pizza! Recently came to know of the accolades Mano's Pizzeria had been given and the hype is real. I definitely enjoyed the pepperoni slice grandma slice as well as the white pie and will be back to try other slices soon. I ordered ahead and got my slices quickly which looks like the right idea as my weekend visit was a packed house. I also understand those that question the prices as it does seem a little pricey given the neighborhood shop feel but it certainly cranks out nice pies. I'd definitely go back soon.
My homies name is Mano, and he told me we had to hit Mano's Pizzeria in Queens. I really had no background on this, and sort of thought he just wanted to come here because he shares a name with it. I had NO idea this was ranked the #4 Pizza shop in the US, and #2 in NY. But I know now. It's an unassuming pizza shop that is maybe 400 square feet. No frills. Not one single frill in here. They are just focused on making elite pizza. This pizza was INSANE. The bottom of the slice is perfectly crispy and has real hangtime. I don't even know how they do this. I got a slice of cheese ($3.55), a slice of pep ($4.25), an upside down pep sicilian ($4.75), and a slice of fried chicken with pesto ($4.75). The fried chicken was a miss, but that's more due to the fact that fried chicken doesn't belong anywhere near a pizza. Idk why I ordered that, that's on me. On every bite of the other 3 slices, I'm just like "Damn. I don't want this to end." It was one of those kinds of meals. Just had me sitting there appreciating life, being grateful that human beings have the capability to make this quality of food. It's wild how there are truly levels to this pizza game, but there really are. It's like in high school when you think you are good at basketball, then you play against a 5 star recruit and you're like "oh wow I'm actually definitely going to have to work a 9-5." I was yesterday on a walk and pizza crawl where we walked 16/17 miles and went to five Queens pizzerias having personally been to two of the pizza spots prior (shoutouts go to Shorewalkers.) This place is short the hardest to review of all the spots and also was probably the tastiest. I went with M margherita which was cheaper than the other spots but the slice was also a bit smaller by comparison. The crust was particularly excellent being only second to Philomena's while the sauce had a good depth of flavor not being too sweet or spiced with a good kick of tomato. The cheese was good quality along with every other ingredient. I will definitely go back and get some type of specialty pie based on the more standard slice alone and they clearly use high quality ingredients here. Mid 4 for a regular slice is rather absurd but it's accurate. Would go here often if I lived in the area. 45 minute drive to get here from North Shore of Long Island, but worth the trip. Third time here just to make sure the first 2 times weren't just flukes. We've only ever ordered two 2 plain pies each time here because they represent the pure essence of New York. Bad pizza can he hidden under tons of toppings. Born and raised on Mulberry St in Little Italy, we have some insight regarding the NY slice. Kate always takes care of us, just order ahead as the secret's out about this pizzeria and it was packed out the door when we came for our pickup. Pizza 100% Service 100% Ridgewood/Maspeth, = mars (?), just sayin'
I've tried the regular, vodka, pepperoni, and white. They were all delivered far away in current freezing NYC temperatures but somehow the crust, even though cold from delivery, still remains incredibly light and crispy. EXCELLENT. My next pies will probably be the house creations like the Manopella and Fulgieri. I am also looking forward to trying the upside down Sicilian. Us pizza connoisseurs know L&B's has the best upside down Sicilian. I'm excited to see how it stacks up. Mano's is easily the best pizza in Queens and one of the best in NYC.
Wow. I ordered this pizza for a pick up. I had called around 7:15pm. I was told I could pick it up at 8PM. I had to wait a bit, but it's worth the wait. This pizza lives up to all the hype! I got the Margherita and it's absolutely worth the $34!
Really excellent top tier cheese slice -- crispy and airy with a great sauce. Spicy vodka was excellent as well, albeit somewhat thicker. The manopella was great as well, but I don't love chicken as a topping so I'd probably sub that out next time. read more
Mano's Pizzeria wasn't even on my radar, and I eat a lot of pizza. My husband randomly came across it and suggested we try it. Queens can be very hit-or-miss when it comes to the perfect pie, which is unfortunate given that it's such a foodie paradise in terms of international cuisine. Mano's pizza definitely hits hard. It's pretty perfect on every level. The crust is really crispy and airy, and the sauce is really fresh and tasty without being too acidic. The toppings are well balanced (generous without going overboard). We ordered delivery, which often requires some reheating due to the perils of transit, but it wasn't required in this case. It arrived in perfect condition. This will be in my regular takeout rotation for the foreseeable future, and I definitely look forward to dining in person someday soon. read more

We ordered delivery from here and it blew our mind. The Minucci (pepperoni and sausage) pizza arrived warm with crispy crust and sooo much flavor! It wasn't oily or wet at all. Just perfect! It's probably one of the best pizzas I had in a long time. Top notch! Will definitely order again. read more

Definitely in top 10 pizza in NYC. The dough and crust are 10/10. Good undercarriage, good ingredients. Sauce is a bit too tart/tangy for my taste. Would definitely come back and would recommend to my friends read more

Big pizza fan, so when the ratings came out had to try this place. The pizza was delicious. The sauce and cheese combination was spot on. I really wish we could give half star ratings. Personally it was a solid 4.5 stars. The pizza does take a little time. If you're in a hurry this is not the place. Since they use specialty high end ingredients , the pizza is on the pricey side, but worth it. This is a nice treat when you're in the mood for a nice high end pizza. This is Not your corner NY pizza. read more

Traveled all the way from Nassau county (work out there) before going home to try this place. I felt that Dave Portnoy lowballed this place due to being in a rush. The slices were incredible. Both had a nice char on the bottom and had a nice crunch when eating. The regular was very delicious and very easy on the stomach due to the fermentation of the dough. The star of the duo was the Upside Down Sicilian which was my favorite. The sauce was incredible and the crust was nice and airy with all the nooks and crannies you want in a good slice. I dare say it is done even better than L&B (my opinion ). Nick was very welcoming, and was passionate about what he does. The service was great and done in a reasonable time despite only being him and Desiree. The place was small, but it had a nice character and good ambiance to it. I strongly recommend this place for pizza fans and casual eaters. Ciao! read more

There's a lot of new pizzerias in Ridgewood and honestly, I'm not mad about it. When I saw on IG that Mano's was ranked as one of the best pizza voted by locals, I had to try it. I ordered on seamless and debated on whether to get a round pie or a Sicilian. If you know me, I love a Sicilian pie, but sometimes it's a hit or miss for some places. I decided to go for it and get the Upside Down Minucci. The Minucci has tomato sauce, pepperoni, sausage and Calabrian chili peppers on top of a bed of mozzarella and finished with Mike's hot honey and pecorino romano. When the pizza came, it was huge! Giant pizza slices! I actually only ate one slice because it was so big. My husband ate 3 slices and we still had half a pizza left. The crust was pillowy, yet crispy in the bottom. The chili pepper gave a kick of spice. I didn't really catch the mikes hot honey, but maybe they the Calabrian overpowered the honey. Overall, great pizza. Will order again! read more

Walked over to pick up slices on a Saturday around 7 PM. The person behind the counter was very busy taking orders over the phone. My slices were ready pretty quickly. Unfortunately I didn't get to try a plain slice, but I'll definitely be back for their specialty slice, which was also not ready yet. I got the grandma and vodka slices which were both very good and I got four garlic nuts With a side of marinara they were super garlic, which was delicious. I also got a can of Coke because nothing's better with pizza than Coca-Cola. read more
