The shop is small with limited seating, and you can't order too many items on the fly(maybe earlier in the day)--so definitely call ahead to see what's available and place your order in advance. I got a pie, half cheese, half pepperoni/mushrooms, and it was chock-full of them!!!!! And they were delicious too, not the usual pepperoni everyone uses. The mushrooms were not from a can. Needed a bite before a show at Knockdown and I had this place bookmarked from the NYT pizza list. There was no line when we arrived at 7 PM on a Friday, but definitely come early if you want all slices available, because most of them sold out while we were eating! I discovered Mano's about 1.5 years ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite quick slice shops in Queens. It never disappoints and they have a good number of fun slice options with different toppings- white and red based. There's a decent number of seating and people seem respectful in that they eat and leave rather than hog up the tables. There's also a bathroom which is a plus. I definitely enjoyed the pepperoni slice grandma slice as well as the white pie and will be back to try other slices soon. I ordered ahead and got my slices quickly which looks like the right idea as my weekend visit was a packed house. My homies name is Mano, and he told me we had to hit Mano's Pizzeria in Queens. I really had no background on this, and sort of thought he just wanted to come here because he shares a name with it. I had NO idea this was ranked the #4 Pizza shop in the US, and #2 in NY. But I know now. It's an unassuming pizza shop that is maybe 400 square feet. No frills. Not one single frill in here. They are just focused on making elite pizza. This pizza was INSANE. The bottom of the slice is perfectly crispy and has real hangtime. I don't even know how they do this. I got a slice of cheese ($3.55), a slice of pep ($4.25), an upside down pep sicilian ($4.75), and a slice of fried chicken with pesto ($4.75). The fried chicken was a miss, but that's more due to the fact that fried chicken doesn't belong anywhere near a pizza. Idk why I ordered that, that's on me. On every bite of the other 3 slices, I'm just like "Damn. I don't want this to end." It was one of those kinds of meals. Just had me sitting there appreciating life, being grateful that human beings have the capability to make this quality of food. It's wild how there are truly levels to this pizza game, but there really are. It's like in high school when you think you are good at basketball, then you play against a 5 star recruit and you're like "oh wow I'm actually definitely going to have to work a 9-5." I've tried the regular, vodka, pepperoni, and white. They were all delivered far away in current freezing NYC temperatures but somehow the crust, even though cold from delivery, still remains incredibly light and crispy. EXCELLENT. My next pies will probably be the house creations like the Manopella and Fulgieri. I am also looking forward to trying the upside down Sicilian. I was yesterday on a walk and pizza crawl where we walked 16/17 miles and went to five Queens pizzerias having personally been to two of the pizza spots prior (shoutouts go to Shorewalkers.) This place is short the hardest to review of all the spots and also was probably the tastiest. I went with M margherita which was cheaper than the other spots but the slice was also a bit smaller by comparison. The crust was particularly excellent being only second to Philomena's while the sauce had a good depth of flavor not being too sweet or spiced with a good kick of tomato. The cheese was good quality along with every other ingredient. I will definitely go back and get some type of specialty pie based on the more standard slice alone and they clearly use high quality ingredients here. Mid 4 for a regular slice is rather absurd but it's accurate. Would go here often if I lived in the area. Came here on a Saturday at 6 PM, they close at 9pm. Aka prime dinner on a Saturday night and they had absolutely no slices. They are "known" for their upside down slice but had nothing other than a cheese pie when we got there, with only 1 slice available . Don't waste your time if you're in the mood for a slice and not an entire pie. Not sure how a pizza place can survive on this model, but good luck I guess. Right off the bat, anyone saying in the reviews this is the best pizza they've had in Ridgewood must have not eaten at other pizza eateries in Ridgewood. This is NOT the best in Ridgewood. Not even CLOSE. I had their Pepperoni and their White Slice. The White Slice is garlic aioli, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and finished with black pepper. The Pepperoni is tomato sauce, Sicilian oregano, mozzarella and pecorino romano. Pepperoni: The pepperoni themselves were on the saltier side. The sauce was light and not really present. I tasted more of the cheeses than I did everything in union. What's more, the crust on the Pepperoni was very chewy. Almost tire-your-jaw-out chewy. It also had no taste. The surface texture of it was very good. But texture only takes a slice so far. Pepperoni: 6/10. White Slice: This was the better of the two. The garlic aioli was pronounced, it had presence. It was tasty. The cheese was very good as well and felt like it was working with the overall ingredients and not overpowering it. Crust was doughier and less chewy than the Pepperoni crust, which sure, is a positive, but what's with the inconsistency across crusts? The ricotta wasn't obnoxious, but instead dolloped on in a few places, so you'd get a nice complement to the other ingredients when you bit into it. Crust was still flat in the flavor department. White Slice: 7/10 Small shop. Not much in the way of ambiance but 4-5 tables, 2 of which are small circular ones slid into the corners on either side. Service was fast and pretty cordial. They were nice. I won't be going back. Just wasn't worth the hype. Personally I prefer Belladonna's Pizza and Rosas Pizza in the immediate vicinity/neighborhood. THOSE places serve the best pizza in Ridgewood. Especially Rosa's. Try the Grandma slice at Rosa's and the Margherita slice from Belladonna's instead. read more

Amazing pizza. When you bite into one of their slices, you immediately realize that the quality of the ingredients is at a completely different level from most other pizza places. It's different from most slice places, but it's also different from coal oven restaurant style pizza. It's run by a great friendly couple. Traveled all the way from Nassau county (work out there) before going home to try this place. I felt that Dave Portnoy lowballed this place due to being in a rush. The slices were incredible. Both had a nice char on the bottom and had a nice crunch when eating. The regular was very delicious and very easy on the stomach due to the fermentation of the dough. The star of the duo was the Upside Down Sicilian which was my favorite. The sauce was incredible and the crust was nice and airy with all the nooks and crannies you want in a good slice. I dare say it is done even better than L&B (my opinion ). Nick was very welcoming, and was passionate about what he does. The service was great and done in a reasonable time despite only being him and Desiree. The place was small, but it had a nice character and good ambiance to it. A old school pizza joint in Ridgewood that keeps it simple with its menu , serving different types of pizza along with delicious garlic knots . Old fashion interior with some tables to sit at while enjoying a margarita slice or a manos creation that's a bit new to me as I tend to be a plain cheese slice type of guy . They don't over do with with an extensive menu which most pizza joint tend to do as it's simple and easy to order a slice or pie with your preferred topping. I must've passed this place 1 million times and never thought about going in there to have a slice until a friend of mine mentioned that they have a really good slice and as a former Pizza man who's worked in the business 15 years, I was not disappointed in this slice was delicious and very consistent. I have to admit some pizzerias to go to. It's hit or miss with their slice. It depends on who's making it like at New Park, which is an another favorite place of mine, but it usually comes out best when the two brothers are working and making pies. The other guy puts a little bit too much flour but anyway back to this pizzeria their slice is always consistent. Has a nice crunch to it and it's cooked just right not burned but nice and toasty. The service is pretty good and I like the fact they play some old-school music the place is a little bit small unfortunately but it's a very good slice. I would definitely recommend it. There's only one Pizza man from what I've noticed and he's the only guy that makes the pies. I believe he's the owner and the other thing about this place is that they're only open Wednesday through Saturday which I find strange but thank God it's New York pizzeria is everywhere so I have a choice lol also I noticed they have fourth place pizzeria in the US I find that hard to believe but I am not gonna knock the slice. There's a lot of new pizzerias in Ridgewood and honestly, I'm not mad about it. When I saw on IG that Mano's was ranked as one of the best pizza voted by locals, I had to try it. I ordered on seamless and debated on whether to get a round pie or a Sicilian. If you know me, I love a Sicilian pie, but sometimes it's a hit or miss for some places. I decided to go for it and get the Upside Down Minucci. The Minucci has tomato sauce, pepperoni, sausage and Calabrian chili peppers on top of a bed of mozzarella and finished with Mike's hot honey and pecorino romano. When the pizza came, it was huge! Giant pizza slices! I actually only ate one slice because it was so big. My husband ate 3 slices and we still had half a pizza left. The crust was pillowy, yet crispy in the bottom. The chili pepper gave a kick of spice. I didn't really catch the mikes hot honey, but maybe they the Calabrian overpowered the honey. Overall, great pizza. Will order again! read more

Walked over to pick up slices on a Saturday around 7 PM. The person behind the counter was very busy taking orders over the phone. My slices were ready pretty quickly. Unfortunately I didn't get to try a plain slice, but I'll definitely be back for their specialty slice, which was also not ready yet. I got the grandma and vodka slices which were both very good and I got four garlic nuts With a side of marinara they were super garlic, which was delicious.
