5 Stars ALL THE WAY. Upon walking in, I was cut by at least 6 people. The men working behind the counter ignored my requests three times. I became frustrated and left but quickly returned because I didn't wanna give up on it. I attempted once more wand put some bass in my voice and finally I was taken care of. In my mind, I was ready to leave a 1 star review. But upon biting down on that slice of pizza, I had a change of heart. The crust recipe, the tomato sauce, the cheese, and so on are all SO exceptional. I was utterly shocked and it brought this place up to the number one pizza I have ever eaten and I eat a LOT of pizza. Go for the food, not the atmosphere. If you like eating in a dump, stay. Do you love your Grandma? Of course you do, but I'm talking about pizza , not family. My favorite slice isn't laden with pepperoni and mushrooms, although that's good once in a while. To me it's all about the sauce and crust. Thin and airy, the bottom should be crispy with the center a bit 'chewy'. The Grandma square slice they make here is excellent . It's so good it'll make you forget your wallet. Well, maybe not, but I did. I literally left it on the counter and ran out to catch a bus without realizing I'd left it. 10 minutes later I literally had a heart attack and got off the bus and ran back to the restaurant. Stopped by here on our way to LGA. Expectations were low. Especially since we chose this place randomly. But this definitely exceeded my expectations. We shared, a cheese slice, olive slice & a pepperoni slice. Very good! Nice cheese pull and very flavorful. The crust crispy but airy-not too doughy! Definitely enjoyed my slices. We ordered delivery from here last night, a small pizza, snack pack (wings, mozzarella sticks & fries) and garden salad. We ordered the pizza well done, which I strongly recommend. Otherwise, I don't think it would have been very good. The salad & snack pack were great, I just wish I got the fries well done. The people in this pizzeria are working very hard. Even during times of Covid the pizzeria was still running. I think one of the man working in the pizzeria is a Mets fan. During baseball season they be like watching MLB on the pizzeria corner television like constantly. Their pizza always comes out hot because they heat it up for you right there and then. I like their mushroom pizza. I usually end up paying about $5-$8 for the food and drinks I purchase in one visit. Cheap eats. Hands down the best cheap pasta joint in the neighborhood. I use to come to 69 Pizzeria way back in the day for their calzones because every other pizzeria in Elmhurst had terrible calzones or didn't have them at all. 69 didn't make the best calzone but at least the size was right and was somewhat close to what I normally enjoy from another pizzeria in Brooklyn. So this was as good as it got in our neighborhood when it came down to calzones. I personally never ordered their pizza before, surprise right? I come here for their pastas now. The price is just too hard to beat and the portions they serve are huge! I came here two weekends in a row, ordered through seamless and they did not disappoint! First weekend - Fettuccine alfredo and baked ziti w/ veal. They have a section in the menu that has pasta combinations. All of them are remarkably cheap. Any other spot would easily charge $14 and up. I started off with the baked ziti w/ veal first. Very saucy, good ziti and the veal was just drenched in sauce and mozzarella cheese. They gave a generous amount of veal to the point I decided to just make a veal parm sandwich with the Italian bread that came with the order. The fettuccine alfredo was very saucy and a bit greasy. It still tasted pretty good, however the portions here didn't quite matchup to the baked ziti. There was just far less in this order compared to all of the other pastas I've tried so far from 69. Second weekend - Linguine w/ calamari and stuffed shells w/ chicken. The calamari pasta was packed with rings of squid. I didn't think much of it and assumed it wouldn't be as good simply because the price was so cheap, so how good the calamari possibly be? Well, it's the greatest calamari but it wasn't that nasty rubbery texture, so it was still pretty enjoyable meal. The stuffed shells were huge! The dish was also quite saucy and completely covered with melted mozzarella cheese. The chicken, pretty much the same way as the veal, simply drenched in sauce and cheese. My son loved the stuffed shells and kept on wanting more. Verdict - Excellent value, great portions, and they also accept credit card on orders $10 or more. The only downside would be the wait time. Sometimes, it can take up to 30 minutes or more for the order to be ready so make sure to call ahead of time. Staff seems nice, there's plenty of seating, crappy TV but whatever, the food is just so damn cheap! read more

Sicilian tends to be forgettable when a spot isn't well-known for it, yet we risked it and reacted accordingly. Also went with a margherita and a plain with 5 knots for $9.50 (no card minimum apparently). Nice guy running the place but hopefully they scale back the too-broad menu soon. That said, must give kudos for the pizza temp, even if they made the decision to reheat the regular from the pie just out the oven (though the wait was longer than most and it was cooler, so their oven seemed to run lower or be on the fritz (the door kept swinging open and hitting the guy in the arm)). read more

This is my favorite pizza place in queens. I used to go there often while doing laundry near by. I moved away from woodside and i still came back to this restaurant. The service is amigable and the best is that the food is freshly made. I will definitely recommend them to everyone out there. I drive more than 10 miles in order to buy a great pizza pie, chicken parm, etc... Needless to say more about this place. 15 bucks for an XL plain pizza pie is not bad at all. read more

Please work on your customer service!!! I ordered from yelp and the owner said he cant do my order because grub hub didn't pay him yet but they charged my card and im showing it to him.... this is not the first time i have problems regarding customer service with the OWNER!! But a second time when I ordered 2 pies of pizzas and paid them and ask to be delivered to my house they never arrived, when i came back the next day the owner said that no one answered the door or the phone (i never had missed calls) mind you i been coming to this pizzeria since the last owner was Italian, so when i asked for a solution the owner said there was none i lost my money and pizzas that i never received. I work as a waitress myself and as far as i know when you work for hospitality restaurants etc you need to keep your clients happy. Work on your customer service skills they suck! read more

I can not say enough nice words about this place....Wow ! Last night I thought I placed an order thru Seamless at 8pm....I forgot to hit the SUBMIT ORDER button.....I called up at 9:15pm.....I told them that I hadn't received my delivery yet....The man who worked there laughed and said that he would make the delivery to me.....they closed at 9:30pm....how nice is that? He kept his doors open and made sure that I had dinner....Not too many places would do that.....I really appreciate what they did for me....I will not forget it and will recommend everybody I know, to go there.....Aside from this kind gesture.....the food is great, prices are fantastic and the people that work there are so very nice......You can not put a price on that.....Keep up the great work boys ! I don't suggest getting food deliveries from this place as your food will be late from a lazy delivery guy who expects you to go outside to retrieve your food but is 'too good' to apologize for arriving late and will refuse to deliver it to your doorstep. He will then lie to his boss saying that you didn't want the food just because he won't follow simple directions, so he won't even deliver you the food. Enjoy my food sir. And to the manager - hire better people please. You lost money now. Food is okay but cold isn't the recommended temperature.
