I prefer this slice location than the one that is in LIC. Granted this one has no outside deck, but trust your not missing out much. Their pizza just taste better to me, I'm not sure why but I love their sauce here. Is it the same everywhere? Not sure. The customer service is amazingly kind and I am able to hear the workers speaking to me. Unlike the LIC location that plays my kinda music you sometimes have to yell to order. This location has my kinda music too but its not blasting. I have yet to use the bathroom but its probably clean. Their Sicilian slice was fire! I'm not one to like a regular slice because I love my broccoli & cheese but this one was great. The tables are always so clean whenever I come here. We were so happy to walk down Steinway and find sLICe! There are few pizza spots, compared to the variety of other options, but this spot was crowded and there were a ton of options. The veggie combo was packed with great veggies, the pizza came out hot, crust was thin and crispy, just the right amount of sauce. Times are tough during COVID-19. So it's a special thing when you see a new restaurant try to open up in the area. After the closing of the old pizzeria Polito's in this spot, I felt really warm inside when I saw them putting up signs for a Slice pizzeria in the same location. From the outside, the place looks very sleek and welcoming. It also really helps to draw people when you have a great deal like they do where you get a slice and soft drink for $1 if you follow them on Instagram (IG). My wife and I decided to give it a go on a cold Saturday winter night. When we got in we popped out our IG's to show we're following them. After doing so we went ahead and placed our orders. The special only gets you a regular slice, so we also got pepperoni slices as well. They had to make a fresh pie because they ran out of regular slices, and the wait time was a bit more than I expected (15 mins). Notably, the cashier gave the proceeding customers a punch card. I had to be proactive and ask him to give me one. I think they can do a better job here of consistently offering the card to all customers. Eventually we got our slices and soft drinks and were on our merry way. The pizza itself was really good. The sauce is definitely on the sweet/tart side of the pizza sauce spectrum. The cheese and crust are definitely classic NYC style and on point. The pizza is definitely a greasy one, and it's something I really like in pizza. Drop by this place! I got the BBQ chicken slice ($4.50) and the ($1) 3 garlic knots/soda deal. Other reviews said that the slice was heated up too much, but I personally could have asked for it to be heated up longer (but I like my food as hot as possible). The knots were good as well with a slightly crispier exterior than most places, and came with a marinara sauce, although I could have used a little more garlic flavoring. I tried a bite of the pepperoni roll/pinwheel and that was actually really good too, but you miss out on the crunchiness of the slice if that's what you're looking for. read more

Better than their sister pizzeria on 30th Ave, this new location once was Polito's. Today I ordered a slice of Buffalo and Hawaiian. The slices are you standard greasy portions satisfying your hunger but not much else. The staff are friendly and this pizzeria smaller than Polito's. The Margherita slice is fire! I can't say the same for their regular slice. The cheese they use dissolves away in the sauce. The sauce dries up leaving nothing to enjoy about the slice other that the flakey crust. A simple fix, they could use better cheese read more

This is my new pizza spot. Although they have the best slices but not a good Sicilian too much crust. The pepperoni roll is so good . I wish I got two. So I go to this shop all the time because my kids love their slices but every time I go there is a girl at the cashier that treats people like shit. I don't think she likes her job. First of all she lied and told me that they don't have fountain soda and made me buy a can of coke for $1.75 where a large fountain is 1.50. After we were done eating I look around and see everyone who came after me has fountain sodas. When I confronted her she said it was only juices from the fountain so I asked another customer what kind of drink he had and he said diet soda. Then she changed her story to "you said coke and we don't have fountain coke." Anyways this is not the first time so I decided to write a review. Last time we went I asked her for buffalo sauce and she said we don't have any. Then I pointed towards the buffalo chicken pizza and asked her how she made it without buffalo sauce. Then she said well I can't just give you the whole bottle and so I had to teach her how to put sauce into a take away container. She is very unprofessional and definitely not happy to be working there. I will make sure to peek in to see if she is there next time and won't go in if she's there. read more

New place to Broadway. I'm a big lover of pizza. But turned off to this place for 2 reasons: 1) The counter girl had long (more than shoulder length) thick frizzy hair & did not have it pulled back or have a hairnet type covering. She is in a small behind-the-counter area which includes the guy right behind her making the pizzas. They are very close together. 2) Granted it's summer & they had the door & windows open in this small space. Neither the counter girl or the guy making the pizzas had any masks on?! If you are making food especially, you should be wearing a mask. i decided to move it along & not try the place for these reasons. i finally gave slice broadway in astoria which is actually on broadway a try and pizza and garlic knots are delicious. after running around astoria saturday doing some good shopping made a stop for a few slices before heading to white plains. good selection of toppings and other yummy treats like garlic knots , pepperoni bites , etc. mr julio i will take a mushroom slice and one cheese slice along with a bottle of diet coke and grab a booth near the back away from the rest of the pack. interior has a cool hip vibe and booth seating for me is the best. ok slices are above average in size , good sauce to cheese ratio and crust is thick but never in a hard to chew way. overall very good pizza , my cuz paid finally and i think a large pie and some garlic knots will be part of the feast thursday night when i watch my rams at cuzs crib. overall 4 stars on my yelp meter and one pie will not to enough if cuzs boys show up. read more
