The pizza is fine but not special They are slow with the service and a bit rude. Food: I ordered the ricotta, artichoke, and cheese slice with an order of garlic knots. The artichoke slice was sour. The cheese slice tasted rubbery. The ricotta slice was good- they were generous with the ricotta cheese. The garlic knots are very Parmesany. I overall don't think the pizza was memorable Service: a bit rude and not fast even though there was no one there Safety: they have outdoor seating and wear masks Price: large slices and specialty slices cost about $4 each

Special they're running because the place just opened.

Times are tough during COVID-19. So it's a special thing when you see a new restaurant try to open up in the area. After the closing of the old pizzeria Polito's in this spot, I felt really warm inside when I saw them putting up signs for a Slice pizzeria in the same location. From the outside, the place looks very sleek and welcoming. It also really helps to draw people when you have a great deal like they do where you get a slice and soft drink for $1 if you follow them on Instagram (IG). My wife and I decided to give it a go on a cold Saturday winter night. When we got in we popped out our IG's to show we're following them. After doing so we went ahead and placed our orders. The special only gets you a regular slice, so we also got pepperoni slices as well. They had to make a fresh pie because they ran out of regular slices, and the wait time was a bit more than I expected (15 mins). Notably, the cashier gave the proceeding customers a punch card. I had to be proactive and ask him to give me one. I think they can do a better job here of consistently offering the card to all customers. Eventually we got our slices and soft drinks and were on our merry way. The pizza itself was really good. The sauce is definitely on the sweet/tart side of the pizza sauce spectrum. The cheese and crust are definitely classic NYC style and on point. The pizza is definitely a greasy one, and it's something I really like in pizza. Drop by this place! It's conveniently located by the R steinway station.

All I have to say is for some reason Pizza from Slice Broadway taste better than Pizza from Slice - 30th Ave. Don't ask why - that's just how it is and since I live on 31st Ave I default to Broadway from now on. This location has become my go to slice spot that I visit at least once a week!

Better than their sister pizzeria on 30th Ave, this new location once was Polito's. Today I ordered a slice of Buffalo and Hawaiian. The slices are you standard greasy portions satisfying your hunger but not much else. The staff are friendly and this pizzeria smaller than Polito's. I can also say that the seating area is immaculately clean and staff were all wearing masks All in all a good addition to Broadway and conveniently located near the Steinway Street subway station

Yummy and definitely going back to Slice Broadway! There are obviously so many different pizza choices in NY so we randomly stopped at Slice Broadway because it was literally right in front of us but we were so happy because it was a good turn out not only is there check in perks, soda and garlic knots there are many pizza options and all 4 options that we got we loved! So definitely going back!

Found this place on grubhub and glad that I ordered. I've ordered from Slice Lic before and figured to give this new location a try. Ordered the Sicilian pie and it was delivered warm. The pizza was so delicious I didn't care that it wasn't burning hot. Will be ordering from here more often.

Great tasting slices and a futuristic decor. This place is pretty good. It's better than Politos that used to exist in the same location.

I've been coming to Milkflower for literal years and everyone here has consistently been so accommodating and attentive to my partner's vegetarian restriction. Today we were done working early and called at 3:30 to ask what time the lunch special (salad and a pie for $18) ran until. The woman who picked up said it ran until 5. We arrived just after 4. Once seated we asked again about the special - she confirmed it was still running and let us know that the salad was currently a Caesar salad. When we asked about the salad dressing, she told us it was vegetarian. The problem? It contained anchovies (the name of the dressing is lemon anchovy, printed on the menu). Even more concerning, our server appeared not to know what an anchovy was. For anyone with dietary restrictions, that's not a minor oversight -- it's a serious issue. If staff members are answering questions about ingredients, they should have a basic understanding of what's actually in the food they're serving. She went on to say there were no actual anchovies in it, that it was "just the name of the dressing." She again insisted there were no anchovies in it. When I pressed her further, she finally admitted that anchovies are blended into it. Again, I explained that means this dressing is not vegetarian, as literal fish are in it -- whether whole or blended, the dressing contains fish. When we explained the issue and asked about alternatives, none were offered. Not a different dressing, not a simple olive oil option, nothing. The complete lack of flexibility or effort to accommodate a reasonable dietary request was astonishing. She continued to offer the dressing on the side to my partner, which he cannot eat. 15 minutes later after ordering the salad with no dressing, the waitress came to our table to tell us the lunch special had actually ended at 4. We told her we called ahead and the woman we spoke to (presumably her since no one else was working, and since she herself believed it was still running when she sat us) said 5. There was no apology, no accommodation, no attempt to honor what we had been told over the phone -- just a shrug. For a restaurant that values customer service, especially for repeat customers, this was incredibly frustrating. We left without eating here. Mistakes happen. Phones get miscommunicated. Staff don't always have every answer. What made this experience so disappointing was the total absence of customer service at every step. We were given incorrect information, served misleading ingredient information, denied any reasonable accommodation, and offered no solution despite being loyal customers. Milkflower has always relied on its neighborhood reputation, but experiences like this make it difficult to justify returning. There are too many restaurants that value their customers and take dietary concerns seriously to settle for this level of indifference. If you have an actual food allergy (specifically seafood) please do your due diligence. If Milkflower management is reading this, please educate today's server that an anchovy is a fish, not just the name of a salad dressing, and that your lunch special ends at 4. Or hire a waitress who isn't so clueless.

Our server was very attentive, friendly, and on top of everything throughout the meal. No complaints there at all. As for the food, it was honestly very lackluster. The best thing we had all night was the small original pizza, which I actually really enjoyed. The crust and flavor on that were solid. Unfortunately, the spaghetti with marinara sauce was a huge disappointment. At $22 just for the pasta, plus an additional $4 for ONE meatball, I expected so much more. It ended up being a $26 plate of pasta that, in my opinion, had almost no flavor. I kept wanting seasoning, salt, garlic -- something to make it stand out. It was just very bland. My husband ordered the polenta starter with shiitake mushrooms and bolognese sauce, which was okay, but nothing memorable. For the three food items, one cappuccino, and a sparkling water, the bill came to about $110 with tip. For that price point, I expected to leave impressed, especially after hearing the hype. Sadly, this just wasn't a place I'd personally return to. I truly wanted to enjoy it more.
