So I was craving a burger and found myself taking a chance at JLB Eatery in Spring branch. I ordered the bacon avocado burger and mini corn dogs with reg fries. Holy Moly! Ordering takeout over the phone was easy and rapid. My burger was amazing quality beef perfect burger bun and toppings were excellent. No heavy grease, all flavor. Perfection in my opinion! It tastes like the perfect burger flavors you always imagine they should taste like. The mini corn dogs were so crispy with an excellent batter that's so complimentary to the hefty dog. The fries were excellent in seasoning flavors and not the typical pathetic fries. I enjoyed its casual environment and seating area as I walked up to the counter and paid for my takeout. The takeout boxes are good quality with paper lining for the precious foodstuffs within. I am not a burger type of person but I plan on trying many more items from this delicious establishment. I think I might try the fried fish plates next time. read more

Food coma! That's what you'll end up in if you're not careful. We made the mistake of ordering too much food since we were starving and ended up with more than we could eat. It was all very good! We ordered Cajun wings which were undercooked, they fixed the issue ASAP and we didn't have any issues after that. My kids loved the catfish fillets and my wife enjoyed her steak melt. This visit JLB Eatery was on par with the other JLBs that I have visited. Called in a Togo order to the Spring Branch location (2420 Gessner Rd) on a weekday afternoon. I did not have any issues with my order. My cheeseburger was ready when I arrived. If you have never been to JLB Eatery, the burgers are a little pricey, but the portions are large, worth the extra money. read more

Great staff, And even better food! The cashier was very polite, patient and kind as well as very catering to my needs. And I didn't make the order easy for her. This place is so cute and clean! The food here is amazing! My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and said it was "amazing". Huge burger, freshly made bun, and fresh veggies. My son and I shared the fish and chips (cajun style) and it was delicious. Comes out fresh with fries, bread , and small salad. The owner was here and she is so sweet. The cashier was very professional. We dined in during COVID. Tables are properly spaced and all employees wear mask. Enjoyed our visit! read more

Went at 11:30 on a Friday, myself and a buddy went for a burger. We saw the place and stopped, GOOD CHOICE. We both had a cheeseburger and fries, the burger was large, nice patty with a good crust on the meat. The bun was toasted and the veggies on the burger were fresh. I am going back. Despite that and its fantastic reviews at Yelp and elsewhere, and the fact that the Chronicle has a "Burger Friday," the Chronicle has yet to visit a single location. Great place to go if you are ready for a cheat meal. Portions are enormous and the food is also really good. Better than the sandwiches and greasy apps at fast food or chain restaurants. Hands down best burger. Went there for lunch with my Husband on a Friday then had it again on Saturday. Went back a THIRD time on Sunday but they were closed. I've had their bacon cheeseburger, all the way, mustard no mayo, & their fried porkchop sandwich. Their bread/buns are made daily & the buns are more of a brioche style that just melt in your mouth. WOW! Very rarely do I crave cheeseburgers but I did today and I am so glad. First time trying JLB. I am kinda new to The Branch. I called and placed my To-Go order with Amanda. It was amazing. Found the best place in town for an amazing burger. The bacon avocado burger was out of this world. I also The cashier was very friendly and informative and told us the bread was all baked in house and gave recommendations of popular items (since this was our first time) You could tell when eating the burger the buns were great. JLB Eatery has the juiciest and best burgers in town! These burgers are homemade and MASSIVE! Their fried chicken tenders and wings are crisp, crunchy, moist, and tender. Their fried Oreos are something made from heaven. I definitely recommend this place over any fast food joint. They have excellent customer service and are immensely nice. Got my order wrong again. Today is the first time I've called in a to go from LJB Gessner. Never again. I ordered a single cheese burger basket. lady asked if i wanted everything on it I said NO. meat cheese and Ketchup only she repeated ok ketchup only placed order and went to pick it up. MY FAULT, I did not check my order before leaving. get back to office open it up smell the lettuce before i open the container. see it take apart the sandwich slathered with mayonnaise both buns. pilled with lettuce tomato, and pickles. throw away bottom bun. pour ketchup on it from packages i keep in my desk. fold it over like a taco eat two bites that is when i actually discover theirs mayo on the bun with cheese on it. no way to wipe it off so into the trash it goes mayo on anything hot GROSS!!!!really not a fan of mayo on many things. so i eat my chill cheese fries. trust me an order of chili chese fries not worth $16.00 been going to Burger Tex since the Covid 19 mess started. Best burger I've had in a very long time. Bacon was not too crispy nor the fries. It was huge and the chili was just great! I don't have to drive to rons in tomball to get a good chili burger. Went there today at 11:05. It smelled strongly of disinfectant. We ordered and sat down to wait for our food. As the disinfectant smell dissipated, we were overwhelmed by the odor of raw sewage. The cashier said it's like that every morning. We changed our order to take out since the odor was nauseating. When we got back to the house we didn"t have a single napkin or packet of catsup. According to said cashier, they were just inspected by the health department and passed. I told her that I found that hard to believe. I called the health department and filed a complaint. read more

Consistently good. Regularly get the fried fish here. Can't go wrong with London or Cajun style. They take care in how they send it to go so it will stay crispy if you are not eating there. The fact that they care makes a huge difference in the quality of meal they want to present. read more
