Consistently good food and friendly staff! Portions are generous! I would highly suggest the build your own poke bowl

Ordered JJ's to-go. They were super fast and everything came as ordered! I have been to JJ's in Minneapolis, but not this one, and they are both great!! The fish seems pretty high quality and fresh. There is indoor seating, and it looked nice, but pretty empty other than one person. Seems like more of a take out place!

A nice bag goes a long way. I got a reusable bag with my Bento box order yesterday. That alone is worth a star. The bento box had my meal (sashimi over rice) grilled veggies, an appitizer, small dessert. Everything was good except for the tuna which was tough. the veggie tempura stayed crispy as I drove to work and the dessert was delicious and probably actually the portion size I should be eating. I have order fromt this location many times but it's the first time of going to the location instead of delivery. the chairs were comfy and the clean and tidy. If I hadn't needed to go back to work I would have eaten there.

Amazing fresh food with friendly service. I highly recommend you try the customized poke bowl. Protein and extras! The rice is sticky and soft. Excellent!!!!

I thought I'd give this food a try as I've been into Tuna Poke lately but this was just meh. "Poke" means chunk and I really wasn't expecting my tuna to be scoops of mince with the texture of pablum. The online menu is quite confusing as well, but I'm still not regularly dining in so I don't have the opportunity to ask questions. For example, I chose the large build-my-own poke; then you select protein, add-ins, etc. but each item has a +$3 or +$1 next to it - making me think I was building a super-pricey lunch - but the $19 price did not change when I went to check out. I did like the Hawaiian sauce dressing. And if you add pickled ginger you'll get A LOT of ginger! Spring rolls are a favorite of mine but I wish the menu specified they were fried and not fresh. They were just okay.

My mission to find my favorite poke in the Twin Cities continues! I was in the area, and have been meaning to try JJs. Located at the end of a strip mall shared with Cub, this is a fast casual spot to grab a poke bowl. They seem to do a lot of pickup and takeout orders, but so have a few booths if you want to dine in! Their menu includes poke - build your own or signature bowls - rice bowls, apps, and even ramen! Prices were standard, at $11-$14 per bowl. I ordered for takeout at the front counter and my order was ready in just a few minutes even though it was dinner rush and they were busy with online orders. Great service! I got the crunchy bowl and was pleasantly surprised by all the mix-ins! As a sauce gal I was glad they didn't skimp at all - dare I say a touch too much sauce? Either way, I ate it all happily! I will say at some places I can stretch a bowl to two meals, but this one seemed a bit smaller. Great quick poke spot in Edina for delivery or takeout!

6 Piece Shumai

I ordered takeout and arrived when stated it would be ready. I was able to pay but had to wait another 5-10 minutes. It seemed they could be short staffed unfortunately. Even though, they were very friendly and moving urgently to get the orders fulfilled. It looked like no indoor seating and the other people there were also waiting for their takeout. I ordered miso ramen and shumai. The broth was set aside and I was able to fill the bowl it came in perfectly. The ramen was very good! The shumai was basic and so so. I would recommend this place for sure!

First time having poke in MN and it was good. I was a bit thrown off by the weird staff though. They didn't say hi, they didn't ask if I had any questions. When I went up to order, halfway through my order the worker told me I'd have to fill out my order on the sheet. Wish this was conveyed to me before? As I am filling it out, the worker left. There was no one at the counter. We had to wait a bit before another gal showed up to help. Bummer they charge for water when you are eating there... The options and toppings were good and the fish tasted good. Just wish the staff didn't hate their job so much.

Really tasty poke. Employees were nice. Able to park in parking lot. Business was super busy and we waited a long time with aggravated customers to receive our food. Seemed like they were taking a lot on with in person orders, online orders, and orders with delivery apps. Really good food though.

Pork Bun and Gyoza

This is a very simple concept, executed quite well. Think of a Chipotle that serves poke bowls. They have a pretty decent selection of meats, sauces, and toppings to boot. My poke bowl was seasoned tuna, spicy mayo, avocado, masago, tempura, scallion, pineapple, and white rice. It was quite good. I also tried both the gyoza and pork bun. They were both SUPER good. These were definitely the best gyoza I have ever had. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and a nice sauce to pair. I'd definitely make another trip! Highly recommend.

So, here I sat. Hungry, not knowing what I was in the mood for. Wanting some place new and something interesting. So I scroll the door dash app to see what my options are... this is where I find this new poke place and it's not too far away... imagine my excitement!! So I ordered a build your own type deal. Medium sized got me 2 portions of tuna, white rice, edamame, corn and cucumbers. I added the hawaiian sauce and the creamy sesame sauce and some sesame seeds on top. My time spent trolling for a new restaurant did NOT go to waste! This meal was SO yummy! I can not wait to eat here again!

It's a cozy atmosphere, it doesn't feel like you need to be all dressed up to fit in. Now the food. My wife and I have been here twice. Once for lunch last week and tonight for dinner. On both occasions the food was outstanding. We were treated by a combination of fresh ingredients, a chefs eye towards delicious flavor profiles, great execution, and fair prices. Certainly keen to come back. I'd recommend the ceviche for an appetizer and if you're feeling spicy ask for the house hot sauce. It's a roasted habanero and it's awesome. For lunch I had the shrimp tacos and they were great also. I feel like I'm gushing here, but the rack of lamb and scallops were both also amazing dinner entrees as well. Lastly, every desert we've had has been tasty as well.

Cahill Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities, and for good reason! The food,…read morethe service, and the ambience are five stars across the board. Owned and operated by three brothers, this family-owned restaurant serves incredible Ecuadorian and Mexican-inspired dishes. If you visit, you'll most likely be greeted and served by one of the owners, who treat you like family--wholesome and genuinely high-quality hospitality without doing too much. The service provided and the love poured into the food are comparable to none. I've frequented this restaurant several times, throughout several years, and I've never had a bad experience or a bad meal. Some of my favorite dishes here include: - Empanadas de Carne or Vegetariana: Beef or vegetable empanadas. These empanadas are pan-fried corn dough, stuffed with your choice of tender, juicy, perfectly cooked braised beef or fresh vegetables. The empanadas are served on a bed of roasted tomato salsa and crema casera. The crispiness and warmth of the empanadas, combined with the tanginess of the sauces, make this dish my absolute favorite. If you're undecided in the appetizer section, this would be the one thing I would absolutely make sure you order. - The guacamole is made with fresh avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, roasted tomato, salsa, and served with crispy corn chips. It is one of their top-selling items as it is made fresh to order, and absolutely delicious as such. - The shrimp ceviche is another favorite! Made with a blend of tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and citrus juice, this ceviche is both juicy and packed with tons of flavor. It's the perfect light and refreshing appetizer. - The Tostones and fried yucca, each crispy and crunchy, are also excellent options for sharing or nibbling solo before your main dish. - The Carne Asada is one of my go-to lunches when I visit. Overnight, marinated steak is grilled to perfection and served with achiote (yellow, seasoned) rice, black bean purée, French fries, and a small house salad. It's good comfort food cooked with love and an incredible amount of - The Lomo saltado dish is sautéed beef tips that are very tender, rich, and flavorful. The combination with the red onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes is sensational. Paired with an achiote (yellow, seasoned) rice that waters your mouth, as well as a side house salad served with a tangy lime vinaigrette that will blow you away. - The Mexican Tres leches is my absolute favorite version! I've tried several, not all, across the Twin Cities, and this is always easily my favorite. A homemade cake soaked with a blend of three milks, whipped cream, caramel chocolate, and topped with crispy coconut flakes. This dessert is decadent as it is delicious. In addition to these dishes, Cahill Bistro offers happy hour Sunday-Thursday from 3:00-5:30pm with specials on appetizers and drinks. They also have daily soup specials and brunch on Saturdays. Cahill Bistro has consistently won multiple awards for best Latin American food in the Twin Cities, and for me, there is no debate about that. Cahill Bistro is my #1!
