I would normally give this a 5 but since we ordered for 6:30 about an hour ahead of time and got there at 6:30, my food wasn't ready till at least 7:15. My favorite local restaurant because the food is delicious, reasonably priced, and I always have leftovers. I used to order just the garlic shrimp and rice but now gravitate to the shrimp boil. Medium spice. The flavor is enjoyably savory. You never know what you're going to encounter when you walk in the door. All the tables could be full or none of the tables. No matter what time of day. Informal setting with three tables, order at the counter. I was craving fried catfish filet. Most everything there is ala carts except for seafood boils which serve one to two and up. Expect to pay $44 for the 1-2 portion and upwards from there. A large tasty boil with about 10 large shrimp, two eggs, large beef sausage, corn on the cob, two large crab legs and steamed red potatoes. Very large and filling. My daughter said it was delicious! My catfish $9.95 two filet and nothing else good but slightly overcooked. Tasty sauce, hot sauce and ketchup available. Large serving of fries ala carte were hot and good. Beverages by the can or bottle in a cooler you select. Most people seemed to be doing take out. No coleslaw or salads. A simple/standard place to satisfy that cajun boil craving. I felt like the crab legs and shrimp were a good quality seafood unlike some other places that have tiny lil pieces. This seafood was good size and didn't taste too fishy. The seasoning was boiled into the seafoods nicely as well. Cajun Deli is the only seafood boil place I go to. The quality is always excellent. The sauce is always rich and flavorful. I like to layer the sauce and garlic on top of white rice, it hits different! I always get the "house mix" seasoning and the medium spice level. I like getting a mix of: Peeled Shrimp Whole Shrimp Green Half Shell Mussles Craw Fish Snow Crab Legs I do prefer the whole shrimp over the peeled shrimp. The whole shrimp holds so much more flavor then the peeled shrimp. They do sell the claw crackers, if you need them for home use. They also offer bibs and gloves. read more
