I had some time to kill before an interview and was craving poke. I looked up poke spots on Yelp and Poke Wave was the closest. I arrived ~11:30 am and there wasn't a line or even other people ahead of me. I got the 3 protein bowl with marinated salmon & ahi as well as eel. $15 for a 3 protein bowl is an AWESOME price as I'm from CA and a 3 protein bowl there is usually $18! The cheaper prices (but still good quality fish) are one of many reasons I love MN. Portions are generous. The employee was friendly and efficient. Like many poke places, Poke Wave has a rewards program that I signed up for. Love the decor. Can't wait to return! read more

This is my favorite Poke spot in MN. I love the classic with half white rice and half greens. The half and half was a game changer for me - so nice to lighten up the rice with a little lettuce. I chose brown rice as my base, marinated salmon and tuna as my proteins, added spicy tuna, and mix-ins of cucumber, corn, cilantro, and pineapple, with spicy poke sauce, spicy Mayo, and tempura crunch. Whew! A few detractors were the tempura crunch was undetectable, and the spicy tuna was minced (unlike the rest of the delightful salmon and tuna chunks). Over all a delicious poke bowl although I have to admit despite the spicy tuna and spicy mayo, it was a tad bland, so adding eel sauce (which I always have) made it even better! Saw this new place as I was driving nearby and decided to check it out. When I entered the place, I was greeted by a staff member side asked what I would like. I skimmed the menu and decided to try the surf and turf rice bowl to go. The gal mentioned they are having a opening special bogo. She asked if I'd like another same bowl or another and I say site why not. I was in a quick lunch run and brought it back to the office. The surf and turf bowl consists of Chicken, Shrimp, Crab, Edamame, Pineapple, Red cabbage, Corn,Garlic Shoyu, Avocado, Yum yum Sauce,Mango, Onion Crisp, Wonton Chips, and Sesame Seeds All items tasted fresh and yummy. I believe the sauce had a slight hot spice to it, but not much. Will be back to try other items though. read more

I ordered Poke Wave for lunch delivery in office. First off, the reusable tote is great! I always feel bad about how much waste is generated with deliveries. I got a build-your-own-bowl and was super happy with the price versus options ratio; a lot of poke places charge a ton for toppings, but a lot were included here! I wish the ordering process/menu were a little more clear, as some options weren't explained super clearly (mostly sauces). My food was tasty & fresh. I do feel that eating in or picking up would be a better option than delivery, since fresher is always better. read more

The food may be good. Never tasted it. I had knee surgery and tried a delivery app for the first time so I could eat. I accidentally choose pickup and not delivery and the app Doordash (also a trash company) didn't do anything to help. I called the store and explained I couldn't pickup the food and they were getting paid regardless, even for the bottled beverage order that they could resale. They thought that sucked but offered no way to help or fix the situation. Just take the money and give an apology. First time ordering from this place and I already hate them. read more

This is my favorite poke restaurant in the US. This is my 2nd visit to Poke Wave in 1 week and both times were 5 stars. My build my own bowl tasted amazing! I got my bowl with cooked shrimp and crab as the proteins. It's a great place for everyone because they have both raw protein options and cooked protein options. There were so many options to choose from. The service is fast and I got a cute reusable to go bag. The restaurant was spotless. I am OBSESSED with the poke bowls here. My fav is always the spicy salmon, and of course I top with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Adding avocado to the mix is a game changer, so definitely try that! Also, the service here is fantastic and the employees are so nice. read more

Less expensive than a trip to Tokyo. Food is very good. The location is easy to drive to-but it appears to be a black hole for restaurants. They use fresh seafood. There's not much foot traffic. I would suggest eating lunch there early in the week while the provisions are still fresh. There are Poke restaurants all over the metro. Some or pretty funky and not very clean.
