Salad and gyoza.
George V.

Everything looked and tasted homemade. It's the best Ramen I've had in a couple of years. The young lady who took my carry out order was very pleasant. The gyoza was delicate and flavorful, and it held together nicely. The soup was quite savory. At first I thought there might not have been enough sliced pork in there but by the time I reached the end of my meal I was very satisfied with the portion. I also like how the carryout bag included everything I needed: sauce for the gyoza, salad dressing, a napkin and flatware. I went out of my way to come here and I'm happy I did.

This particular location can probably only handle around maybe 2 large groups at once, so we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. I wouldn't say you need a reservation on a normal occasion, and the people here are pretty nice. We specifically only came for their Demon Slayer collab spoons, and thankfully, they had some! We didn't realize until we were there that you MUST order the Tokyo Yatai Classic to receive a blind spoon though. We weren't interested in the promo ramen, but we ordered it anyway. And as expected, it was alright. We ate it, but it wasn't anything to write home about. It's only getting a Yelp review bc I liked their apps. The appetizers I've had were much better than the ramen, even outside of this one instance with their promotional ramen. If I wanted ramen, it wouldn't be here, but for a quick bite or many small plates... maybe. The eggplant and brussels sprouts were probably my favorite of what I had, and it's all due to the miso soy marinade. It masked some bitterness with sweetness. If I were to come again, it'll have to be during happy hour. That's the only time I feel it's worth coming for.

I have been to this location a few times and love it over the other location in Buford. The hostess is always welcoming and they always ask if it's your first time there, if you are celebrating anything in particular during this visit and if you are a rewards member. I love when they ask this because I feel more valued as a customer. I have never gotten that at the other location. The server even ask if you are a rewards member and if you are they will ask for your check in code from the app so you can earn points. They are very thorough and polite. The restaurant is always clean and never too loud. I really enjoy this location. Onto the food: I ordered their gyoza for an appetizer and it is so delicious, I also love the dipping sauce that comes with it. For my entree I ordered their spicy chicken ramen (mild) with bok choy instead of spinach. I love their bean sprouts that come in the ramen and adding the bok choy adds a nice touch to this dish. The temperature and taste of the ramen are always on point and I truly enjoyed my dish. I always come back to this location for their great service, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere.

I come to this location quite often, but this past weekend(2.13.26) was by far my best trip into Jinya. The food was absolutely delicious and I regrettably forgot to ask who the chef was that night. Everything was so rich in flavor and perfect! I took my mom out to dinner and we sat at the bar for a little over an hour. Since we wanted to sit at the bar and they were pretty busy, we were waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes because the counter hadn't been cleaned from the last group. I ordered the spicy creamy vegan ramen with spicy sauce, garlic, and hot sauce on the side. I made the ramen into a combo and got 4 vegan gyoza and a house salad for an additional $7. The combo is such a great offer because I never waste food with the limited gyoza count. When I usually come here they forget the crispy onions on the ramen bowl, but this time it was served to perfection. My mom ordered the kids meal which comes with salad, french fries, a rice bowl, crispy chicken, a ramen bowl, an orange slice, and ice cream(so much, I know!). Unfortunately, she mentioned that the soup noodles were very mushy and lacked flavor which she said was pretty unusual. She did, however, say that the chicken was so crispy and that everything else was delicious. She orders this every time we go to Jinya but this day our server mentioned that he would have to ask if an adult can order a kids meal because it might not be allowed. Ultimately, they let her order it, but that was pretty unusual. We sat at the bar and watched the olympics and had a great night. Our server/bar tender was Jayson and he was great! He never made us feel rushed or like we were asking too much of him, so that is always a plus. The interior was very clean and I love how dim the lighting is. It gives such a foreign experience, so it allows you to really feel like you are at a ramen bar. There are cool paintings on the wall and when you walk in, they shout something in Japanese, but I never know what it is that they are saying lol. I assume it is a welcome:) While my ranking is closer to a 4.5 out of 5 due to the kids meal, it is usually a 5/5 and I would totally recommend this specific location!

Stopped in here for some small bites and caught a great happy hour! They have some awesome promotions running. Even though a few menu items I wanted weren't available, everything I did order tasted fresh and delicious. The broccoli was definitely my favorite, and the dressing on the side salad was yummy! The ambiance was clean and inviting. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and upbeat. I'll definitely be back!

I've been going to jinya locations for years now and I still like their ramen, especially the tonkotsu black! We like to swap the standard thin noodles for thick noodles for no price difference. If you like the chewy noodle texture, the thick noodles are delicious. My favorite combo is to get some fried chicken karaage to dip into the broth. Portion with thick noodles is big in my opinion. I cant finish the bowl. Its a nice savory satisfying meal. I think the toppings have changed over the years, so its a little plainer than I remember. I love the mushrooms for the crunchy texture but would prefer the pork chashu to be softer. It was hard to chew and tough, so I skipped eating it. We went on a weekday around 6. There was no wait and service was friendly and fast. Food came out within 10 minutes and the fried chicken came our almost immediately. The chicken was so crunchy and delicious. Nice big pieces too. 2 to katsu black ramen and 5 piece chicken was around $48.

I've been here multiple times and always enjoy it. This time, I came on a Friday afternoon during lunch time and sat at the (what I guess was) the ramen bar overlooking the kitchen. The service was quick. I ordered the spicy tuna tacos (2), tempura Brussels sprouts (my fave) & the chicken yuzu delight ramen. All were delicious. My only sidebar is that the lunch menu could be better. It should have more options for people who don't eat pork or meat.

Reese is the best server we've had in a long time. Completely changed the vibe when he started taking care of us. Tonkatsu Red had a nice kick on level 4. Chashu wasn't dry -- perfectly tender. Ramen was perfect temp to eat immediately. We also had the crunchy Tuna Taco, but ate it way too fast for photos. Highly recommend it.

One of the best Ramen I've had in Atlanta this place has multiple locations, but this location does have a lot of seating available as it is not busy as the downtown area. There are plenty of options, but we chose a spicy lemon. It was mouthwatering it really enhance taste buds and the pallet. There's plenty of parking available outside. The service was super amazing. Everybody was so nice playful, joyful, and they were making us laugh. Every time we see them would certainly come back to this place and try like other stuff I want to talk about the ambulance because this place does have a very dark ambience just like a shack in Japan.

JINYA in Duluth was SO good! The ramen was rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked noodles, and the broth had that slow-simmered depth you can taste in every bite. The appetizers were just as impressive, and everything came out fresh and hot. Definitely one of the best ramen spots in the area. I'll absolutely be back!

Heather L.

Jinya is a solid choice if you LOVE garlic lol. At least that's what I instantly thought of of their tonkotsu broth. Their appetizers are great, everything came out fresh to order. Hubby and I went on a weekday during lunch and service was great/food came out quick! They have an outdoor patio that can seat quite a number of people. They also have an indoor bar. Parking is free. Overall, a pretty solid choice if you're craving Japanese ramen. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

This was a tough one to rate. I'd probably rate it 3.5 if half stars were available. The takoyaki and the jinya red ramen both tasted good. The texture on the takoyaki was on point with it being creamy inside and a soft crunchy outer. They shred the bonito flakes which I didn't care for as I felt I didn't get the usual experience and taste from it. I also wished there was more octopus in the takoyaki. The heat level of 5 was a pretty good heat level. Probably too spicy for those who aren't used to it, but I think I could've done to level 6 despite the waiter's warning. I ended up with 5 since they charge you extra to go up to level 6 and beyond. The ramen noodles had a good chew and bounce. I wasn't as impressed with the chashu though. The fat to meat ratio was just okay, and the fat wasn't rendered down enough. The matcha tiramisu was good but nothing impressive. I'd skip The waiter was super friendly and attentive. We were seated right away at the bar. It's a little small inside but still comfortable.

Great Ramen place since I've eaten here im addicted to Ramen. The atmosphere is amazing. Everywhere is nice. My go to is Chicken Ramen add a boiled egg. Don't forget to add ramen seasoning. Their sweet tea is always good how I like it.

Yummy mocktail!

Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

Another thing I appreciated was how easy parking was. I had seen a few reviews mentioning parking difficulties, but thankfully, that wasn't my experience at all. There was plenty of parking available, and it was completely free, which is always a plus! The restaurant itself was spotless, including the bathrooms, which were impressively clean. I do not feel as though downtown Duluth truly captures the amazing food scene of the city, but again, an old friend did like it enough to tell me about it. Inside was pretty spacious. High ceilings and bright. You have to go up front and order, and they'll give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Pretty standard so far. It's not too loud, even with the music playing in the background, so not bad for hanging out with friends after the food is done, though we didn't. We were all pretty disappointed with our food. It wasn't bad, thankfully, it was just meh. We could've literally drove 5 minutes away for better, so we left as soon as we finished. The good thing is you get to choose what protein you want with your dish, which is nice. However, the chicken katsu here is thin. Also, the K-Fried chicken doesn't really mesh with the pasta. It's like a skewer on the side of your main dish. You can eat them separately and be happy enough. I was ok with the bulgogi, but I would've expected better from a Korean establishment. I haven't tried every single protein option, but I won't lie, tofu in pasta isn't the most appealing to me. For the main dishes, it was pretty bland, especially the omurice. You need the egg and the protein for flavor. The Schezwan pasta wasn't even spicy. At least the carbonara was creamy as it should be.

I was a huge fan of this place when it was strictly Japanese...and was quite bummed when I heard…read morethey changed this restaurant from Japanese to Asian fusion. In any case, I finally decided to check out the place for dinner. Well, right away, I saw that they added more tables. Even with more tables, the restaurant still seemed pretty spacious. I've always loved the spaciousness of this place...but I find the layout a bit awkward. Unless you come with a group of 4, you'll most likely be seated in the open area...where there's just this utter lack of privacy. So yeah, as nice as this place is, there's a certain lack of comfort and coziness? I also noticed that their menu/menus looked quite different. Initially I was handed just this Korean-Chinese menu...and when I asked if they had Bento Boxes, they handed me the Japanese menu, but I didn't see any sushi rolls on the menu (??). I should have asked, but I just let that go. In retrospect, I really regret not asking. But then again, I wonder why they didn't hand out ALL the menus right off the bat? Who knows...Maybe they had a third menu with a list of sushi rolls?? ANYWAY, I ended up ordering their Bulgogi Bento, which turned out to be quite substantial in portion, and well presented. The thing I didn't like was the bland, undercooked Bulgogi, with excessive fat. I've been getting served a lot of Bulgogi like this lately around town..and it has somewhat turned me off to Bulgogi in general. I personally prefer a much better cooked Bulgogi, with less fat. I enjoyed the Japchae, as well as the fried sides, but frankly, all the foods were all lacking in full Korean flavor. Some of the sides in the bento just seemed off...like these lackluster Avocado Sushi Rolls and a generic Salad (??). I felt that for the 32-dollar pricing, the sides should have been much better. This bento also came with Egg Drop Soup...but again, too bland. Guess I should have poured some soy sauce. As usual, the service was really good though. They even added this complimentary post-meal drink...this might have been the best part of my entire meal? I still think this is a really nice restaurant, with a lot to offer. I just didn't like how it got rid of many of its stellar Japanese menu items. Also, unfortunately, I just didn't like what I ordered. Again, the Bulgogi was too mild and too fatty...and all the foods in the Bento tasted a bit too bland. If I was to return, I would definitely not repeat the Bulgogi Bento. If they really don't have any sushi rolls, guess I'd order something Chinese?
