For the vehicle safety inspection, I didn't have to make an appointment.  It was fine to do a walk-in. When I visited Emily's Garage, there was a customer who was pretty upset with the repairs and the cost.  I was able to hear what the customer had to go through but I would not comment on that as I have limited information. From my experience of getting my vehicle inspected, I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to complete the vehicle inspection.  It was done in less than 2 minutes, and I paid over $50 for that service.   For comparison, when I had my vehicle inspected at Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, they spent over 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and the cost for the inspection was only $20.   Will I re-visit Emily's Garage for the vehicle inspection?  Probably not but if the state requires me to get the vehicle inspection done, I will probably have no choice as there are not that many shops that offer the ASE-certified inspection.

I made an appointment to bring my father-in-laws Honda Accord in to change out the headlight lenses. They had fogged up. Yes I know there is a chemical you can use to un-fog them but it really doesn't last. So anyway this was his Christmas gift. I already had the parts since I got them on-line, and they didn't give me a hard time about it. So, I was just charged for labor. So, I pick up the car in Bothell and drive it to Fast Eddies in Everett. "Why did you take it to a place so far away Tony B?" Well believe me, I called around. But several places did not follow up with me, or said they would not install parts that I provided myself. Fast Eddie's was easy to deal with. And we made an appointment for 10AM today. They were ready for me at 10, just as they said. I was told it would take 2 or three hours, and they were done around 1:30. So, that's pretty close. Oh, and When I checked in on Yelp, I got a pop-up with a 10% discount on labor! Fast, honest, they keep their word, and for those reasons I am awarding 5 stars. Thanks Fast Eddie! Other oil change places check all fluids, lights, air filter, tire pressure. not here, just changed oil and charge a ridiculous price. They couldn't change the manual transmission fluid because they don't have gear oil. They later said if i bring the oil they can change it for $100. A hundred dollars to take out a drain plug drain and refill with fluid I buy.

I had Eric (the manager) come check the car out. He asked if he could test drive the car to see what was going on, and not even 2 seconds into driving, he drives over a curb like the idiot he is and didn't even apologize for it. End result is the motor and possibly the transmission are warped and will cost more to fix than the actual KBB value of the vehicle. And of course they will do whatever it takes to deny a claim for negligence.

If coupons are at the discretion of this particular location, then state if in print so people can clearly see it. Ultimately the coupon was scanned and applied to the invoice with no further discussion, but why would he say that at all regarding the discount price? Of course, one should expect the up sale, it's part of the business model and it was put into play in this scenario, (you know, the conventional oil isn't that great,) "Yeah, well, it's in the budget.
