I got the soup of the day, buffalo chicken soup. I didn't like it at all! The vegetables in it were obviously frozen vegetables that they didn't cook long enough so they were still crunchy. I only ate about a quarter of the soup before I just had to stop. It was after the lunch rush and the restaurant wasn't very busy yet the service still sucked. I'm going to be in town for a couple more days staying at the hotel in the same parking lot but I highly doubt I will go back to this place. read more

Great breakfast's! Scones are huge and so good like a donut! Add some scrambled eggs, slightly spicy sausage (try saying that three times fast!) The coffee is really great tasting and served piping hot. You will walk away smiling and satisfied. We have not found any better breakfast place here in Ogden. There's a first and a last for everything- this is definitely one of those times. My husband ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken came out raw- like straight from the fridge to the plate raw. I've been here several times, mostly for breakfast because that is what shines here. I've had lunch and dinner here one or two times and it is good as well but breakfast is by far my favorite. They have the best fried bread (scone)And they are big. They bring it out with lots of honey butter I think it's some of the best tasting out there. I like to get to Jeremiah's breakfast which has sausage, bacon, Hashbrowns, and two eggs. You also get to choose between a scone, French toast, or pancakes. The scone is the best one to choose from in my opinion. I'm not sure if I've ever had the French toast but the pancakes are a little tough, not as fluffy as they could be. Both the scone and pancake are huge. I think the best item are the sausage links. They are quite big and very tasty. I have eaten at Jeremiah's many times, usually for breakfast, and the food was always good. This evening, however, I ordered breakfast items. The omelet was fine, but hash browns were substituted with seasoned potatoes (same flavor as curly fries) and the sausage gravy was devoid of sausage, but did contain pieces of strongly seasoned ham, tasting nothing like the real thing. When placing my order, the waiter did not apprise me of the substitutions, which if he had, I would have ordered a different meal. Feels like walking into a ski lodge which is fun! It was very busy when we went for breakfast but that didn't seem to faze our waitress as she kept our drinks filled and not only checked-in on us and our needs during the meal, but before the food arrived as well! We shared a scone as big as my face and it was sweet enough to eat alone not to mention the delicious sweet spread that comes with it! My daughter got the French toast kids breakfast, my husband got Jeremiah's Big Breakfast, and I got the Banana Nut French Toast (insert drooling here), and not one complaint between the three of us, but we all kept going back for "just one more bite" of the Banana Nut French Toast! I'm traveling with my family to see the dinosaur park all the way from California and yes there was no Hispanic people insight but there is no reason to treat people like this. The minute we (Hispanics) walked in were looked at and our waiter brought us water and said you need to order before 10 pm because we're closing. There was an attitude the whole time. Today I had the cowboy Benedict, so good With an ice tea. they have a cool little gift shop You can visit while you wait. If you go to breakfast on a Saturday the place is usually packed. In the winter I like to sit by the fireplace if there's a spot open. There waiting area is very inviting,They have some really nice photography on the walls That is for sale. Jeremiah is famous for it's breakfasts especially it's large portions. This was the grey time we were seated immediately despite the times of COVID. The wait staff is friendly and courteous. The good service was very quick. It would be nice if they would serve half plates of the large breakfasts such as Cowboy Eggs Benedict. I'm a light eater and can't eat the whole thing, and leftovers just don't reheat well. Scones are ok. I prefer Sill's Cafe in Layton, sorry. These scones are kind of heavy on tasted like they sat around for a while. the biscuit was terrible . it was heavy kind of like whole wheat and very dry. So we went to have breakfast at the Ogden "staple". It was a Sunday brunch time and wait was an hour which after church rush is expected. Welcome staff wasn't so welcoming just at the station talking amongst themselves. Restaurant seemed clean and had cool decor and a small shop. First time at Jeremiah's... the establishment and decor itself is fantastic. It's like Cabelas / Bass Pro Shop meets an American diner. Service with Jason was poor. His demeanor seemed pleasant at first but quickly turned sour. I want to clarify the issue I had is not a big deal by any means, but I'm more so bothered by how it was handled / addressed by Jason. Eggs were ordered over medium. When they came out, they were still raw and more so very over easy. When the request was made to exchange the eggs, Jason kind of gave a puzzled face and rudely said (paraphrased) "just so you know this is how over easy is supposed to come out." Really? Maybe that's why I had asked for over MEDIUM. He then proceeded to ask if I wanted them re made. Shouldn't even have to ask, answer is obviously yes. If a guest orders a meal with specificity, it should be written down accurately and never should the guest feel anything less than welcomed and valued. A guest should never have his or her knowledge questioned on the levels of cooking eggs and made uncomfortable or be belittled. Again, the eggs are not the issue, whatever, it's Jason's customer service and his lack of humility in getting the order wrong. read more

What's not to love about Jeremiah's? Me and my wife have both come here many times growing up and we love it. Jeremiah's is a pretty regular breakfast spot because there are enough good things on the menu that you can come regularly without getting tired of the food. That's what we love about it. The scones here are really amazing though, always get that if there is a choice. The staff is great I would say 90% of the time. Every now and then you will get someone who seems less than excited to be there but nothing extreme. Most of the time the staff is friendly, helpful, and able to manage the big weekend crowds. Come try it out for breakfast, the omelets are killer. Also if you want a quick lunch, get their chili and a scone on the side to dip in it. Trust me, you'll love it! read more

We have been going to Jeremiah's for many years. We usually have a breakfast meal which are quite delicious, but sometimes a dinner meal like the meatloaf or something similar. We just left the restaurant, July 21, 2023 at about 8pm, SO disappointed! My husband and I each had a burger. It was barely mediocre. I had one bite of mine and was done. The patty was thin, tasteless, and dry. Yuck. I wanted to cry. And I substituted a salad for my fries..the lettuce was wilted and warm and there were about as many croutons as there was greens, and one little beet slice. It was truly gross. I think I would have preferred McDonalds. And our server took no notice. He didn't once ask us how our food was. It might be a while before we muster up the courage to go back. The food was outstanding, the service was incredible (Stephanie and Olivia were awesome), and the location was an unexpected gem. If you are looking to host any event (ours was for 40 but I think they go way higher), I would highly recommend this location. Go out back and look at the Gardens and Grounds. I do not like complaining about businesses. I understand running one is a lot of work. and customers can be difficult to deal with. so I do not write this feeling good about it, however it needs to be said. i went and waited for 45 minutes to eat. a place opened up at the bar so I went to the bar. it was 11:45 when I was asked what I wanted to order. I ordered some pancakes and asked if I could order some fajitas, she said I could not because lunch wasn't until 12:00 P.M so I said okay I ll wait tell 12:00 to order the fajitas. She and another woman then lied and said lunch wasn't until 2 P.M. but a nice guy working said no it was a 12 and breakfast ended at 2. so then she went back to ask if they would do it and she came back and said they would but "they were not happy about it." So I told her No I do not want them cooking my food if their Mad. First of all it wasn't like I asked hours before lunch was being served, I asked ten fifteen minutes before and said I was willing to wait until then. To tell someone that your staff is mad at you for asking when it's their job, is uncalled for. Would you want to eat somewhere we're the waitress and cooking staff make it known that they are angry with you? let alone would you want to tip or give them any of your money? I don't care if there mad. That's their job. If I'm willing to wait for fifteen minutes tell noon to order lunch what is the problem? I wasn't putting them out by telling them I would wait. To come back with that response when it's your job is so unprofessional and for the waitress to lie and another staff member to lie with her about it is just...wow. I almost felt like it was personal if I didnt know any better. Because they were really kind the other person sitting down and different with me I felt. I don't know what the issue was all I did was come sit at the bar to eat. And that was the service and treatment I was given. If your staff is going to complain about their customers and tell them to their face that their angry with them or not happy with them. expect word to get around. it was completely uncalled for and dis respectful.
