This was such a good spot right on the river! The beer was delicious - puff puff pour was our favorite! All of our food was a great size and flavorful! I'd recommend the pretzel for an appetizer!

New waffles and chicken and waffles to replace the old stuffed French toast on the weekend brunch menu. I m a regular here because the service is great and so are the food and beer. The outdoor patio seating near the river is amazing on a nice day. And you have to try a manmosa during brunch!! It's a mimosa but with cougar juice beer, delicious!

My latest experience wasn't the greatest. I ordered my steak WELL DONE and it was a tough old cow with a lot of pink meat. The worst part was I could actually taste the pink meat. It was well undercooked! First time that I've ever been disappointed with this place. Sadly, it was so bad, I actually had to toss the vast majority of it out as it tasted completely RAW! The price isn't exactly the cheapest either. I'm hoping the chef was new! Garden side salad was fresh and delicious with a generous amount of blue cheese dressing per my request. Requested half regular fries/half sweet fries in a separate container away from my steak. This restaurant is always perfect in regards to reading notes/instructions. Regardless of my steak not turning out so well, it was the very first time out of many visits. We all make mistakes sometimes.. right? Still recommend this restaurant, though I think it will be a while for me to trust them with my steak dinner.

First time here with family tonight. Heard good things. The area is nice, on the river. The inside is really nice, crafty, industrial style. The customer service, atmosphere and the food were all great! Great spot to check out!!

The starting 5

My husband and I decided to eat here for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Just a heads up, we learned that they serve brunch until 3:00 (at least on Sundays). We started with a 5 beer sampler which contained the 1851, Cultura, Cougar Juice, Hola Aloha, and the Space Cruz. All were delicious, but my favorite was the 1851. I like a good light beer without the hops, but I would have been happy with 20 ounces of any of these beers. None of them were too strong. My husband really liked them all, but loved the Hola Aloha, Space Cruz, and Cougar Juice. After the sampler he ordered a 20oz Helles that was really good. I ordered an Electric Love (recommended by our waitress) and loved it! We ordered the Funeral Potatoes as our appetizer and WOW! Our tastebuds were not prepared for the deliciousness we were about to experience. We fully expected the typical square slab of grandma's funeral potatoes, but no, not these ones. These were sophisticated, crunchy, and came with the most delicious dipping sauce packed with incredible flavor. We devoured four slices and wanted more! Before we were able to shed too many tears about our vanished appetizer, our burgers were brought out. Mine was the Go Back to Cali burger and I would order it again and again and again! Put my order on repeat! The guac...the roasted jalapeños....SO GOOD. The sweet potatoes with the fry sauce were out of this world! They make the best fry sauce! Keep in mind that it's $0.50 to buy fry sauce if it doesn't come with your food though. Sweet potato fries unfortunately do not come with fry sauce, but the regular fries do. Sweet potato fries are also $2.00 extra, which I gladly paid. My husband ordered The Zues and loved the sauce they used. He loved it so much that he made me try it (it was definitely on point). However, he loved my burger more and wants to order it next time. I'd like to give a shout out to our waitress, Sandra. She was very nice and personable! She was so excited for our anniversary and made our dining experience a pleasant one. I hope she's our waitress when we dine here again.

Delicious brunch and great spirits! I highly recommend!!! I got the Big Ass Burrito for brunch and it did not disappoint!!!!!

Cup of Chile Verde

Ogden Beer Company has the BEST steak in all of Utah! Their sides are awfully delicious too. I have been everywhere, to every restaurant and steakhouse, and absolutely no one does it better or cooks it to such perfection. One of their menu "Pub Favorites" is the 10 oz New York Steak (cooked your way) that is always fresh, a full 10 oz, and seasoned with an exceptional flavoring of garlic and butter. It's not even costly and worth every cent! With that, you do also receive two sides of your choosing per their menu options (some do cost an additional fee but nothing too exorbitant). My most recent visit I went with their house salad and a cup of their Chile Verde. First time trying that side here, and it didn't disappoint! By far more exceptional than any Mexican restaurant that I've been to. Completely smothered in flavor, including raw jalapeno slices that gave it just that ever perfect hot and spicy kick! The house salad is always fresh here. Includes plenty of different types of lettuce with croutons, cherry tomatoes, and red onion slices. The steak here is actually a full 10 thick ounces that is so fresh you can actually cut it with a plastic knife and fork if doing takeout. No old cows used or too much fat/too hard to chew at this restaurant! I highly recommend everything on their menu, but the Chile Verde really shocked me tonight with the abundance of flavors and pork (the pork had a bit of a turkey taste), if you're interested. Reminded me of Thanksgiving in a bowl with spicy heat. If you haven't been here you're missing out on good times and excellent food!

Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Jack Mormon Funeral Potatoes

This place is decorated cute. Nice little chill vibe. My friends had the nachos and cheese fries, they enjoyed them. I tried the crispy Brussels sprouts without bacon. The blueberry balsamic was delicious on the sprouts. I really enjoyed them and would go back for that item again. I also tried the Jack Mormon funeral potatoes. Honestly not my favorite but I could see how it might be others taste. The flight of beer was great! Lots of different choices. Service was great. No complaints. If it's warm sit outside. It's beautiful.

It's a great brunch spot. The food was good and had large portions. It did take a little while to receive it but it was packed.

Loved the feel of this place. There is a gorgeous river that runs next to it and a patio that you can enjoy! Elijah was an awesome server! Our food was delicious as well.

Once inside, it had a welcoming atmosphere and people inside were all having a good time. This brewery features Lager Beers crafted using traditional Bavarian/European methods...thus I had to try one...two...maybe more. Luckily there was a ton of delicious looking food on the menu from the expected pizzas and wings to the old world treats like beef stroganoff, goulash and schnitzal. Everything is made from scratch and I couldn't help looking at all the neighboring tables to get an idea of what to try. Our waitress Ashley was really helpful and checked if the pesto was made with nuts as we have peanut and tree nut allergies in our family. Luckily there were no pine nuts or other substitutes and we could safely have it! We ended up getting quite a feast of plates and then topped it off with two desserts- the bread pudding and the German chocolate cake (couldn't come to a family agreement so had to get both!). Thanks Bohemian Brewery for the excellent time!

They do not take reservations, but we didn't even wait 5 minutes. We started with a side Caesar salad that we split. It was the perfect size. Then I ordered the sauerbraten. It was a huge portion. The meat itself was rather dry. The cabbage served with it was excellent. Another side on the plate was a kind of spaetzel, again on the dry side. My husband ordered the salmon that came with spinach and mashed potatoes. That he enjoyed very much. It is a very upbeat atmosphere and has 2 floors. They accommodated us by seating us on the first floor. I would go back, but try something different. Our server was Carson and he was helpful and attentive.

We had turkey enchiladas which were really tasty and HOT (my pet peeve) and the brisket burger, which was really good other than the brisket wasn't as flavorful as we expected. We liked the restaurant design better before they remodeled, but that's personal preference. It seemed cozier before. They have an outdoor seating area which is pretty much shaded in the evening. We were looking for somewhere good to have dinner on a Monday night, and Drew's mom recommended Roosters because she loves the food there. We also looked it up online and it looked like a fun place, so we decided to give it a try. Walking in, I was immediately impressed by the signage and décor. It has a really cool look from the outside and definitely gives you the impression that you're walking into a fun brewery/restaurant. It was actually pretty quiet when we arrived, and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, our experience with our waitress was not great. She was very rude from the beginning, and I actually asked everyone else at the table if they felt the same way. Everyone agreed that her attitude came across as rude and unfriendly. It felt like she was mad that she had to deal with us...Maybe she was simply having a really bad day, and I certainly understand that happens, but unfortunately it really affected our experience. She never checked back with us after our food was delivered. I ordered a salad, which I actually really enjoyed, but I was only given one tiny 2-ounce ramekin of dressing, and it wasn't even full. I almost asked for extra dressing when I ordered, but I told her I'll see how much it comes with first, but I probably will need more...I used it all and still had quite a bit of salad left. I would have happily asked for more dressing, but no one ever came back to check on us, so I just ended up leaving the rest of my salad. Everyone else ordered burgers and fries, and they all really enjoyed their meals. The food was definitely the highlight of our visit. We also had a couple of beers, and someone did eventually come by with a refill, so we weren't completely forgotten. We were seated in what seemed to be the bar/dining area, and the atmosphere was surprisingly quiet. There was very light music playing, but you could barely hear it. I think turning the music up a little would have helped create more of the fun brewery atmosphere I expected. The TVs also weren't turned on, which I found a little odd for a place like this. Overall, I think Roosters has a LOT of potential. The food was good, the space itself is really cool, and I can see why people enjoy coming here. Maybe things are completely different on a busy weekend night, and perhaps we just caught them on an off night. Unfortunately, based on our first experience, the service and atmosphere left us a little disappointed. I'm glad we tried it, though, and I wouldn't rule out giving it another shot in the future because the food was actually really good.
