    Grilled Ahi Spring Salad

I've been to Roosters a few times, and I have to say--it's really stepping up its game. My lunch today was excellent from start to finish. The salad tasted freshly made, with crisp greens and perfectly ripe avocado (no brown edges--always a win!). The fish was tender and cooked just right, light but flavorful. Service was just as impressive--attentive without hovering. Everyone seemed genuinely kind and happy to be there, which makes the whole experience even better. Big thanks to the team for a great lunch. It's nice to see a local spot keep improving instead of settling. I'll definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed our time here to eat. It was a comfortable environment, great service and decent food. I felt their could have been a little more flavor to the meals. I got a burger and my wife got the mahi. We felt the fish was a little over priced for what was delivered. The salad was amazing! Forget the ñame but it had pears and nuts Though overall we had a great experience.

Strapped at The Rooster for a pizza and a beer. Sat at the bar as it was very busy at Happy Hour. The server was great! She described my beer and it was more than I expected. And you're probably asking yourself why I got pizza in Utah, but I must say that the cheese was the main delicious ingredient. It's called beehive cheese, made in Utah and so delicious. The crust was just right, so I'll say the personal pie is a solid 8 of 10 for my taste. This place is a must if you're in the area! I will be back!

Initially came in because of how close it was to our hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted and sat right away. They had a lush variety of beers in which a good amount were on tap. I ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon and it was phenomenal. The staff is very helpful and simply unforgettable. Lots a big tv's to catch up the score and easily accessible bathrooms. I would recommend this establishment to anyone passing by and will be a returning customer in the future.

I visited Roosters during my vacation to Utah. The f was excellent! The mac&cheese was superb. I also enjoyed the roasted Brussel Sprouts. My favorite it from my meal was the hibiscus sour beer. The service was excellent! My food was ready and delivered within minutes. I will visit Roosters again the next time I visit Utah.

It's just ok for me. We go here when we can't think of anywhere else to go (not a ton of choices in Layton). I ordered the Santa Fe Salad with chicken, and I have to say I expect more from an almost $17 salad. The chicken was rubbery and there was way too many green chiles on it. Would benefit from using a different type of lettuce instead of spring mix as well. Something else that irritates me is that on the occasion that I've ordered a sandwich, the menu says nothing about them having mayonnaise on them but they come full of mayonnaise. I wish they would include that on the menu description.

Young man seating guests asked me what I needed, I said"a place to sit?!" He was so intimidated by people, he will get it, just made me laugh inside a bit... As always food was really good, I had the salmon wraps and Megan had nachos with chicken, she liked them, would suggest a little larger lettuce, pick was on point!! I had the Red Headed beer and Megan had the Moscow Mule, always good choices. Always fast service from the kitchen! Don't miss this little slice of goodness! Justin is a good server, on top of his tables!

No! Pets are not allowed to travel through the park with you, please leave them at home.

Do they have anything else to eat on Sunday besides the brunch? ie, can I get regular lunch?

We were able to. We just asked server and they accommodated.

We ordered a blueberry cornbread with lemon butter off the seasonal menu, and it was very good. I'm impressed at how well the combination went together. With that said, the cornbread could have been a little hotter. The main entrees were a steak hash also off the seasonal menu and an original breakfast. I have to say the steak cash was really good. Had a chimichurri on it and another sauce that went very well with a decent amount of meat and more than enough potatoes and other ingredients. The original breakfast was scrambled eggs with some cheese on it, potatoes and bacon. Again everything was very good. They have a line of fresh juices available none of which we tried but they do serve Coke products. All in all, while I'm not really big on chain restaurants, I would definitely go back here multiple times to try different things off the menu.

After seven visits, I feel like I've given First Watch a fair shot, and there's a lot to like…read more The food is a step above your typical breakfast spot, the atmosphere is bright and inviting, and the staff is consistently friendly. It wants to be a great go-to brunch place. But what's holding it back is a pattern of "good enough" execution, some gaps in table awareness, and either front to back with house, communication, or staff education. A few examples: - I've ordered eggs "well done with fully set whites," five times Three times the whites came out runny. - One visit, a large amount of water was spilled on our table when drinks were delivered. It sat there soaking menus and making it awkward to even rest your arms until I finally grabbed paper towels from the restroom and handled it myself. - Another time, a drink was served with liquid running down the side of the glass and then spilled a little more when placed on the table, leaving the table sticky. Same outcome, same self-service cleanup. None of these are huge issues individually, but together, they start to feel like a training and attentiveness gap. On the menu side, some of the bowls (especially quinoa or potato-based ones) feel a little unbalanced--heavy on the base, light on the toppings--so you end up wishing for more substance beyond the filler. Even small details, like the overly aggressive spray nozzles in the restroom sinks, make basic things like washing your hands more frustrating than they should be. Bottom line: First Watch has all the ingredients to be excellent, but right now it's settling for "pretty good." Tighten up execution, table care, and change base to mix-in ratios, and this could easily move into top-tier brunch territory.

It's a family-run restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can see every dish being prepared right in front of you. It doesn't feel like a typical restaurant--it feels like you've been invited into their home. And what truly sets this place apart is the people behind it. The father took the time to walk us through the menu and explain each dish in detail. The mother shared the cultural and historical inspiration behind the plates, connecting the food back to the Philippines in such a meaningful way. Their son served us with professionalism and genuine kindness. You can feel the pride, love, and intention in everything they do. What we ordered: Pork Lumpia with Sweet Chili Sauce - perfectly crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Sizzlin' OINK Sisig - served hot with an egg on top... bold, savory, and absolutely addictive. Lechon OINKawali - crispy pork belly done right: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Pancit Noodles - THE BEST NOODLES EVER!!!! And for dessert: Banana - Bowlicious - fried plantains tossed in cinnamon sugar, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle... the perfect sweet finish. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the fried sweet plantain banana desert but I have to say that the flavor still lingers in my mouth and my heart! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The sauces are clearly made from scratch, and the flavors are rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. And the value? Unbeatable. We ordered appetizers, three main dishes, and two desserts and the bill left me speechless in a good way :) If you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine with heart, story, and flavor this is the place. Highly recommend. Thank you for an amazing last dinner in Utah! I will absolutely be back.

Unfortunately on every visit, service always seemed to be struggling and we just stopped coming back. We were looking for a good cafe type spot and through we'd give this place another try. We were not disappointed this time, and were happy to have stopped in. First of all, a weekday lunch was not too busy and we were able to seat ourselves in a comfortable booth. They has specials listed on flip board near the door for both Chinese and American options. The menu was huge and had just about any kind of food you could want. I had my heart set on breakfast, but my dining companions ordered burgers. I had the steak and eggs with a scone on the side. The scone was actually two scones with a big dollop of honey butter melting on the top. I was so excited, I ate one of the scones before I could take my picture. My eggs were cooked just as I asked for (over easy), and the steak was a nice pink medium with great flavor and not too chewy. I savored every bite. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were full and we didn't want to anything. Upon check out, I noticed they have a monthly specials board with each day's offering listed. The prices are reasonable and I will definitely be back again.

However, I've only ever done takeout, so from what I've read in the negative reviews it seems to have to do with the indoor service. The first time I tried this lovely cafe I ordered the Two Pork Chops & 2 eggs which also comes with your choice of two sides. Along with that was an order of their English Muffin Combo which comes with your choice of one side. On a different day I decided to give their lunch a shot, and ordered the All Star Club Sandwich which comes with your choice of one side. First things first, the Two Pork Chops & 2 Eggs with two sides (I chose hash browns and a strawberry crepe). OMG it was BEYOND fantastic!! From the pork chops to the perfect over easy eggs (you can request how you want your eggs), to the strawberry crepe. I could go on and on, but let's just say I highly recommend it and definitely will order it again! The English Muffin Combo comes with your choice of either 2 bacon strips, 1 sausage patty, or a slice of ham on an English Muffin, with either hash browns or their home fries as a side (just FYI, the home fries are actually diced potatoes). They cook your meal without any seasoning (no salt, no pepper, etc) so it tastes very bland but you can "doctor" it up any which way you choose (which to me after giving it some thought, seems like a good decision on the restaurants part due to people and their different preferences). The strawberry crepe was BEYOND my expectations and then some! They also have blueberry if you're interested. Either way, I highly recommend trying it!!! My lunch takeout sadly wasn't as fantastic. That is only because they put my side of sliced potatoes with sauteed onions in the same styrofoam container as the sandwich making the whole sandwich smell and taste like onions (I also wondered if they just fried the sandwich in the same skillet as the onions). The sandwich itself is 3 layers of grilled/fried bread (which I wasn't aware of prior to ordering); so keep that in mind as it makes the bread soggy along with the barely there half slice of ham, turkey, and bacon. Mayo, 2 small pickle slices, and plenty of iceberg lettuce complete the All Star Club. It definitely is not something that I would be interested in ordering again. Restaurant is generous with plastic utensils and napkins for takeout but don't plan on seeing ANY condiments or salt/pepper packets with your order. Overall I was pleased with the quality and freshness of all the items. Definitely will be back...more than likely in person for my next visit.
