Schnitzel with lemon sauce
Rachel B.

This is an absolute hidden gem that you have to try! The staff were welcoming and sat us inside but they also have outdoor seating if that's your thing. It was a well decorated but not over the top atmosphere that was perfect for a meal with friends. I went with the schnitzel with lemon sauce and it was delicious. The lemon sauce definitely made it. My husband was more daring and it paid off, he had the sauerbraten which was amazing. It's only available after 5pm though so don't go in for lunch with your heart set on sauerbraten. I will definitely be back and I'm so excited to have fresh flavors in Ogden.

Very trendy feeling restaurant with solid food. There are a good amount of tables downstairs and some tables upstairs along with bar seating. Everything on the menu sounded really good and I def had a hard time choosing what to order. Next time I come back I'll prob try one of the more classic German dishes Donerteller: 5/5 I really liked everything about this dish except for maybe the light orange sauce. It was also a good portion and I didn't eat all of it

This place was PACKED! I was lucky enough to ask about seating at the bar since the others waiting had bigger parties. I ordered the mushroom toast and it was delicious! I thought it was going be mushrooms on a piece of toast like avocado toast, but their presentation was much better. The mushroom cream sauce was so good I wanted a separate cup to just drink it! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the various cocktails on the menu. It was cold out so I opted for the warm spiked cider. Perfect way to start the evening before heading across the street to the Christmas villa.

I saw this place crowded so I came back the next day to try it out. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and great change of pace from the regular and the location had great views on the balcony.

Food was amazing and the service was great! A bit of a wait to be helped, but the food and staff made it worth it. Will absolutely be back!

SPECIAL Appetizer- goat cheese, pear, glaze over baguette

Get in NOW and get there goat cheese- pear appetizer! Before it is gone! That was an explosion of flavor and I'm so glad we didn't pass on it. Incredible! I also enjoyed the Das Schnitzel for my entree with the lemon caper beurre blanc. It was really tasty. My taste buds went crazy at Weller's. It was so so good. Seating was a little tight for groups over 5, but they found a way to seat us. The waitress was delightful and visited us often. Food - 5 AMAZING Service - 5 Flavor - off the charts!

Pork Loin w/ Hollandaise

Food was 'just what the doctor ordered' on a could winter night. Goulash with spatzle and sauerkraut -- Goulash and kraut were THE BOMB...spatzle very 'meh.' Pork Loin with potatoes and peppers -- pork was tender and just wonderful sauce. Apple Struedel was very good. Service was excellent. Nice vibe and feel to the interior...very basic but just what we expected. As a visitor to the city I can say -- Ogden is fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant.

We really enjoyed Weller's bistro. The food was all excellent. I got the goulash, which had unbelievably tender meat, Spätzle which was really yummy and I substituted the sauerkraut for their brussels sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were top notch. My group got the burger and fries, which were good; the spaetzl which was amazing, and the Rotkohl (red cabbage and apples), which was raved about incessantly. There's a reason this place has a line, so if you're planning on coming, try and make a reservation. The only complaint is free parking is hard to find.

Food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Our server was kind and attentive. Parking is kind of miserable, especially on 25th street during rush hour, but we were quickly sat and there weren't very many other patrons besides us. It was a great early dinner!

Pork tenderloin meal with green beans and potatoes.

I had lunch here a few months ago. A delicious Reuben. Tonight I decided to try them for dinner, and I was absolutely blown away. I ordered the pork tenderloin meal. The pork was tender, the sauce was insane. The green beans were cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully with garlic and butter. And the potatoes were unbelievable. Tender and flavorful. I was sad that I got to full to finish it all, but I certainly tried. Best meal I have had in a while; everything paired perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive. My food took longer than my companion's but it was so worth the wait.

What a treat to have another option for dining out on a Sunday. Love having Wellers here in Ogden! Started with their Brussels sprouts and split the Reuben sandwich with the hubby. Everything was excellent.

Dönerteller and Brussels sprouts

The food was fantastic! (And so was the service!) Brussels Sprouts and tzatziki were particularly outstanding. The spicy aioli that comes with the fries was exceptional and worked really well on the Brussels sprouts, as well.

If you're in Downtown Ogden, you have to stop by Weller Bistro. This place is such a gem--spacious, beautifully set up, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and warm, which immediately makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. The food is outstanding -- you can taste that everything is freshly prepared. There's real care in the ingredients and presentation. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, beautifully balanced, and honestly better than most places around. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do

It was sweet with pineapple and then chipotle on the crunchy tortillas used as chips. They definitely use high quality ingredients but both the melon and Caesar salads were just alright. Everything was on point from the start. The staff were wonderful, welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. I could tell the staff were having fun but also working together as a tight knit group. It was quite impressive. I started with a local beer, the Cerveza Roja by Ogden Beer Co., which was very refreshing and touch darker than other Mexican beers, which I really liked. I also ordered The Burger, medium, with fries and let me tell you it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Again, everything was on point. The patty was probably one of the thickest patties I've recently seen in a burger, all the ingredients were fresh, the meat was quality, and perfectly cooked (my mouth just started watering as I write this), along with the fries. The brioche bun was soft and actually smaller than the burger and ingredients combined which is usually the opposite nowadays. Seriously perfect. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, again perfect, and The Hole In One (Bourbon drink), also very tasty. They also have a nice variety of mocktails as well. Next time I'd like to try something else but not sure I can pass up that burger. The staff all had different favorites so that should tell you there's a lot of other great choices to try. I can't stress enough how amazing the staff and my server were. I also found out who the owners were and could see they totally set the example for everyone working there. The whole crew ran around helping each other out and expediting like a well oiled machine but fast and nimble. I had to let the owners know on my way out as well. I know where I'll be eating on my next trip to Ogden. Cheers!

The Chef's Tasting consists of several preset amuse-bouches, with your choice of main and dessert. The thing that Hearth seems to be known for is their unique combinations of ingredients, tastes and textures, all leveraging their signature olive oils (which are available for purchase). It was fun trying all of the combos, most of which were delicious! I did get the short rib for my entree and unfortunately it was dry. The roasted vegetables were aplenty and tasty so I was glad to have had a substantial meal despite not eating much of the short rib. I mentioned it to the server and she shared that they had switched vendors recently and that it was different than their typical short rib. Hoping they switch back! The meal ended with dessert, and the honey/almond/white chocolate/blueberry sorbet I selected was decadent and yummy. All in all, I enjoyed my experience. The service was fantastic and we were treated to complimentary baked goodies to take home. My friend shared that their tasting menu changes seasonally and that all of the various dishes have been unique and delicious. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Ogden!

***Disclaimer*** Feeling witty and pretentious but who cares…read morethe review is good I was a little apprehensive at the checking this place out but after filtering through the reviews. I felt like they did not do this place justice. Majority of people who wrote snarky reviews usually have a subpar perspective in what truly deserves a bad review. I feel that whenever people do these reviews is because they need to feel superior about their opinions because they were not given enough attention back home or at work. But let's go with my opinionated .02 cents... -The French onion soup: definitely filled that void in your soul after dealing with the chaos of everyday nonsense. -French dip: what makes a good wet sandwich is the broth. Without a quality broth you might as well dump it in the toilet and call it diarrhea. What they did with the au jus was great although a little bright from the salt, it compliments the sandwich very well. I like how they reduced it to a nice silky broth rather than some nonsense from Arby's. Atmosphere: rustic vibes with historical aesthetics. Honestly don't give a crap when it comes to superficial vibes. Harvest Sunday: Sweet potato fries with cinnamon ice cream and whipped cream. Mixed together sounds like something a pregnant woman would be craving that actually works well together. Damn good food!
