Met up with an old friend that I hadn't seen in years. I was having way too much fun at the amusement park...whereas they clearly weren't. After about 6 hours of non-stop rides and waiting, we decided to get off the walk and grab a bite to eat. Due to more extreme rides planned for the rest of the day; we opted for sharing a plate and not indulging in much more. The Pork Carnitas Nachos honestly were a good 10/10 for me because I was starving. Friend said more a 8/10 for them. The service here sucks! Unless it's the teenager where you pick up your order up from; forget it otherwise. You order at the counter. They give you a buzzer thing that will buzz after your order is ready to pickup from their window. Seat yourself if you can find any room. They also do have an outside patio area which is nice but unfortunately it was all packed. At the counter when you order everything for your party, you get your beverages. The cashier (I'm thinking she was either German or European ... which actually would have been lovely had she actually cared to be there). No manners. Very rude even. I didn't understand the "buzzer" system and in my party there was one Coke and one Diet Coke. Now, which one is which b/c she just shoved them towards us. I wouldn't have cared but my friend might have. Anyways, what ever happened to pushing the one little button on the plastic lid like we did back in the 80s-90s. Nevermind.. I'm getting old;+) So we found a table for two right by the bar with two little barstools. We had absolutely no issues with waiting (fyi, it was about 20 minutes). Engrossed in conversation, I feel something crawling underneath my feet. My friend did too. "WTF? Are there mice in here"? Nope, just an angry old lady sweeping underneath our feet (BTW, we hadn't received our order yet at 20 minutes) and I guess she thought we sat there for too long just drinking and not eating. FFS - When the nachos eventually were ready, the young 15 year old or so was friendly and gracious at the pick up window. If you want utensils here though, you have to ask the pick up window. When I asked for a fork they were plastic and ungloved bare-hand handed it to me with the actual fork in between his fingers. Plenty of napkin dispensers but not very hygienic if you want utensils. Side note- Whether you just go to the restaurant on it's own or are enjoying Lagoon Amusement Park, there is a bathroom located inside the restaurant that is actually clean (unlike all the restrooms circulated throughout the park). Store is clean but customer service and employees need big time customer service training! I'm giving this review a straight 4 for decent food and an amazing day. After 4 weeks of being open, the staff should know how to fill orders from the Point Of Sale automated system. It's not even that busy yet. Just wait for summer. Took me almost 30 minutes to get a pretzel order? Poor lady was waiting over an hour for her family order. Poor management. Coming here we came for lunch and for a few drinks as it's one of the few places in the park you can chill and have a few drinks so that's exactly what we did! Our beer was cold and yummy our food was hot and yummy of them I went with the chicken schnitzel it was yummy the fry on it was perfect and the real star of it was that mushroom gravy as it was flavorful and just good and brought soo much to a piece of fried chicken that you really couldn't go wrong! The potato salad was also very yummy it was perfect just the way it should be and definitely added soo much to the dish. I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance. The last two times it has taken them over 15 minutes to prepare a burger and club sandwich. And when I ask why my food is taking longer than those who were in line behind me I am treated with disdain and so much rude behavior. This place is a joke and for $48 I expect better service. Today I saw the burger done (it was special with no lettuce and onions) and asked if I could have that even if my club sandwich wasn't done and they kept saying "your order will be done in a couple minutes". My husband and I had a date night here right before Valentine's Day. We felt welcomed as soon as we stepped inside. The person working the register was so nice! We had never been there before and he had a lot of great recommendations. I decided to try the special. It was a mashed potato bowl with delicious chicken, corn, gravy and more. I loved every bite! My only complaint is that it was tiny! If I hadn't eaten a late lunch, I would have still been hungry. I felt like for $12, it needed to be bigger. My husband got the pork nachos and the flavors were incredible! The portion size was great, the price seemed a little high, but we'd get these again. He also got a beer (the one specifically for lagoon) and loved that as well. I loved how they decorated for the holiday. It was cute and fun and gave the place a great ambiance. My favorite restaurant at Lagoon- European decor, cool in the Summer, clean, & often a respite from the crowds & noise. The only part of Lagoon that you can visit year round! During the off-season, parking is free and you can enjoy the ambience without the crowds! Service might be a little slower, because fewer employees staff the restaurant. Burgers come on a brioche roll, with a 1/3-pound, Angus beef hamburger patty, romaine lettuce, red onions, hothouse tomato slices, & depending on which one- cheddar or swiss cheese, huckleberry or apricot chipotle BBQ sauce, with horseradish mayo for the pastrami burger, optionally bacon. The battered fries & large onion rings are both amazing. The chicken schnitzel is one of the more unique dishes at Lagoon. A pounded & breaded tender chicken breast cutlet, deep fried to juicy texture with crispy, golden crust with rich mushroom gravy, served with a mayo-vinegar-based German potato salad with diced onions with celery seeds, dill & caroway, garnished with paprika. The Traditional Bratwurst is covered in sauerkraut & comes with house-made, gourmet-quality mustard. It's served on a split roll of fluffy white bread. The Classic Beer-Battered Fish & Chips has a white fish fillet with a light crust that is perfectly crispy but not greasy. The batter creates a golden covering for the tender, flaky fillet. Biergarten has been opened since 2019, but this year is the first year their other building is up and running! Their main restaurant is larger and serves burgers, nachos, salads and German inspired food. Their second building has pizza! I normally order the 1886 burger, but today I gave their German pizza a try. It's their Flamkuchen pizza. It comes on a cauliflower crust, and is covered in cheese sauce, bacon, onions and artichoke. It was very good! The second building is more of an express style, and I got my pizza within 5 minutes. The Biergarten is very clean. They have employees cleaning that place non stop. The food is made well, and even though it is pricy, you get much more food here than you would anywhere else in the park! read more

You know, for an amusement park joint I typically have low expectations. For this place, love the ambiance, love the friendliness of the staff, and love the idea I can come into the park and eat here even when the park is closed. Fun for the kids to see the rides and park without all the chaos. Food is good and fair priced for the volume of food. Definitely better than overpriced amusement park food that typically plagues places like this. I'd fully recommend coming here to enjoy the experience. read more

This was a great improvement to Lagoon! The old amphitheater that was there was a bit of a drag but this really steps up the game for Lagoon! Hopefully this is a way they can start updating the older parts of the park and revamping them. A great nicer-dining option with fairly reasonable pricing and a spectacular view! I got the most expensive burger ($15) and a side of fries ($5), and was unable to even finish the portion! The value is spectacular, but the ambiance is what sold me. Went to lagoon for the last day of opening and decided to try the Beer Garden. Had a fairly long line but it moved quickly. The ambience was great, reminded me a bit of how Disneyland dresses up their restaurants. The food was excellent, my wife got a 802 Burger and I got the 1822. I believe that's what they were called. Anyway, burgers came out hot and juicy with a large amount of steak fries. If you leave hungry it's your own fault, the portions are huge. The burgers and fries were both excellent, only thing I would suggest is a bit more of the apricot bbq sauce. All in all was a great place to go. read more

The atmosphere here is pleasant. Lagoon went all out to make it feel like a quaint alpine restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is too inconsistent for a better review. We love their fries. The schnitzel was also tasty if you're into that. I wouldn't order the onion rings again. The macaroni and cheese was inedible because the noodles were overcooked and mushy. We tried two seasonal beers that were fantastic. We opted to eat outside despite the heat because it was cooling down and there was a lot of shade and facilities are super clean. Wife and I stopped there for lunch/dinner. I was expecting "fair food" and was pleasantly surprised when the food was actually very good. The wife had bratwurst smothered with sauerkraut. It also came with biergarten fries. The brat was cooked just right. Neither of us eat sauerkraut so can't speak to that. The fries were coated in something, couldn't tell for sure what, and were extremely tasty, esp with the fry sauce. I had the chicken schnitzel that was smothered in mushroom gravy and came with a "cold" potato salad and a serving of pickled veggies (onions, cauliflower, red and jalapeño peppers).. the schnitzel was tender, breaded with just the right thickness, then fried giving it a perfect crust. The mushroom gravy wasn't overpowering and there was plenty of it.. the potato salad was really delicious.. the potatoes were just a tad "under cooked" but so many places serve a hot mushy potato salad calling it German, this choice was really pleasant to enjoy. We were totally surprised by the pickled veggies. The wife wanted a bite and ate the whole serving, except the jalapeños.. We will definitely return to try other menu items. read more

Finally a unique restaurant that lagoon can claim as its own. Me and the family found this to be a very convenient and stomach filling spot to stop at. We live very close to lagoon so it's easy to head home and grab a bite instead of spending. The kids love the chicken fingers and fish and chips. The portions are very large; 3 plates is enough to feed a party of 6. The newly built Biergarten has a style separate from lagoon. If your planning a trip to lagoon it's a quick solution to hauling all that food around. Yes Biergarten does mean they serve alcohol. At the main building or the building on the west all they serve is beer. It's always hard finding vegetarian friendly foods at lagoon besides fries. This spot opened a few years ago and offers at least 2-3 vegetarian friendly options. I have tried the caprese sandwich and Cesar salad. Both ok. I try to avoid eating at lagoon because it's so pricey for "carnival" food but desperate times.. Although the beer garden is a really nice edition and the park is byob you are not allowed to walk around with your plastic cup of beer. The artichoke dip was more melted cheese than a dip and the beer battered fish was bland. I would recommend the French fries, they were crispy with a a good seasoning. The atmosphere and the staff were great! The food was fine. My only issue is the pricing. We went there during the off-season and it seems like they've kept the pricing the same as it would be during the regular lagoon season, when they have a captive audience. During the offseason, people will only go there for the food and then leave. If pricing remains the same throughout the year, I don't see much of a reason to go during the off-season. Pricing should be 25%-35% lower. This place does have potential and with a little better quality (and appropriate pricing), it could be one that we frequent. read more

Well I didn't take pictures of out food because it wasn't anything fancy. All the pictures on yelp are pretty accurate depiction of what to expect. I had the turkey club. It was ok. Too heavy on the mayo, and it just tastes "basic" it comes it chips. My kid had the burger and fries. The fries were pretty good. Needed a little salt, but the burger was kind of dry.
