The specials are by the door on the wall when you walk in so make sure to take a look because it's the only time you'll see them featured and they're quite unique specials! We have been coming to Ramblin Roads for years but will no longer be going after they have dramatically increased their prices and reduced the quality of the food. Just in the last couple of weeks they have gotten new menus with most dishes having a price increase of 1 to even 4 dollars. A breakfast for two adults and one child that cost us $35 a month ago was $52 today. They have made changes to the dishes as well and not for the better (less meat and lower quality). We are so so sad because we genuinely loved this restaurant and the staff. At this price, the food is just not worth it. read more

I searched online for biscuits and gravy, and this popped up. When we arrived, the prices were much higher than their menu that I found online. I also guarantee that this place has not been redecorated since the 90s (at least!). Old, and the seat vinyl is trashed, which is always a "tell". The biscuits were soft like angel food cake (shouldn't be), not split open, and covered in a bland white glop with NO sausage in it at all. I had never seen that before. The hashbrowns were still very cold around the edge. Everything tasted like it just came out of a bag from a Sysco truck, nothing special. The girl charged us, then, instead of saying, "It's going to ask you a couple of questions" when she spins the iPad around, she says, with no smile, "Choose one" for the tip % amount. I would like to say i havent had too many issues with this place over the years. we always go with a group of people and one of the times they gave my skillet to another guy and didnt realize it till i was chatting with him and he said he didnt care for it and i noticed it was my dish. But we didnt complain since the food was still great. This time i went in sunday the 5th and i wanted to try something different and so i picked the ribeye steak and eggs. Probably about 10-15 minutes later our table gets served and the waitress was saying that they are working on my meal and will be out shortly. as everyone else is finishing up mine comes and i start eating it and can see in the center that it is still dark red in the center. Must have been frozen and they were trying to get it thawed out and didnt do the best of jobs. By the time i started to eat everyone was ready to go and we just brought it home and will have to cook it the rest of the way here. Very disappointed in this place and will never order that again if we end up bringing back our group again read more

Went here with a friend over the weekend. I've never heard of this place but it's the cutest little ma & pa kind of breakfast place. I ordered a mimosa & it looked pretty similar to the regular orange juice, shown in pictures. So there wasn't much champagne in it. I'm sure this is regulated with Utah Laws though. I ordered am omelet with avocado, mushrooms & tomatoes. It was delicious! I'm a little worried that omelets are undercooked, but mine was cooked to perfection! I also had the sourdough bread & it was really good!! My friend ordered the Strawberry Lemon crepe special & WOW! We were both blown away by how delicious these crepes were! The only complaint we had was we wish there was more strawberries on top of the crepes. Filling in the crepes was really yummy & portion size was perfect. Vegetarian options were a little hard to find on the menu because they weren't easily noted on the menu & it looked like most items had meat in them honestly. The place is easy enough to find with quick service but I was disappointed in the quality of the food and drink. I got the chicken fried steak, which had great reviews, but left a lot to be desired. The steak itself wasn't bad, but the hash browns I received with it were bland, uncooked shreds of potato even with the salt, pepper and tobasco I added to it. I also decided to try one of their specialty drinks so I got the raspberry mojito. This was a mistake, they do not use mint but instead mint syrup which was way too over powering to the point the drink was unpleasant and tasted like cough syrup. "Family own restaurant" always makes me excited when it comes to going out. I've been to Ramblin roads a few times at all their Utah locations. Today (Halloween) I go to the restaurant fairly early in the morning and am greeted by my waitress (brown lady with black hair and I believe some freckles on her face) I asked to get their Mac and cheese (It's my favorite thing they have. It's for me the definition of COMFORT FOOD) my waitress tells me that she can't serve me that dish. At first it struck me as odd considering the fact I had gone to the same location 5 days prior and ordered the same thing. When I got around to asking why it is, she told me it was because it was on the kids menu. This is a family owned establishment the specializes in "Comfort food" so how come I can get what I feel is my comfort food, the Mac and cheese. I got upset and wanted to talk to the manager as I had just been served it the other day. Sadly he is not feeling good and is sick. I want to leave this review to ask, is this true???? Mixed feelings on this review. Food is great. Service is friendly but a little slow. Good place for breakfast or brunch. On the downside- the Bountiful location is in an old building and it looks, feels and smells old. I know there's inflation but the pricing is high. $70 for four people's breakfast is excessive - and we steered away from the pricier items. Very impressed by this place food. We went for brunch on a Saturday. The place was fairly empty for a Saturday but apparently that's not the norm since I hear a employee mentioned to a customer that everybody was downtown for conference weekend that day. To the point, the food was perfect, it tasted amazing and the portions were huge. We tried the Ribeye Steak and Eggs (special for the day) with Pancakes and the Country Platter (Chicken Fried Steak) with French toast (Texas toast thickness). So yummy! The very well seasoned steak was my favorite. Our waitress was friendly and also the woman at the bar register. Unfortunately the greeter at the entrance counter was not, he looks out of place and not very helpful. Come here for a yummy breakfast with great service! Great for groups! We reserved an area for a very large party (about 30-40 people) and had such a good experience. Prior to coming, they had us submit our orders online so they could have the food ready upon our arrival. Right when we got there, they had our orders organized by name and quickly distributed everything. I was amazed that there were no mistakes made and they got everything right with that big of a group! They even brought out extra scones for us to share. It would be easy for a waiter or waitress to get frustrated with a group as big as ours, but they were awesome. Our drinks were always full and they were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed! Aside from the service, the food was also really good! The portions are huge, so you'll likely get to take leftovers home. I recommend an omelete or their fresh berry crepes! My only wish was that they had honeybutter for their scones (they just had butter and jam). All in all, I was very impressed with my experience here and would love to come again! read more

Unbelievably TERRIBLE! AWFUL FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE. JUST THE WORST... WILL NEVER GO BACK. Went on a weekday for my birthday breakfast. The sausage in my scramble bowl had gone OFF. It was BAD. But I didn't complain or ask for my money back. I just explained the situation and asked for a new bowl but without the sausage. It was okay. I ordered a Bloody Mary. She said it was too early for alcohol. So I said, Okay I'll just have it as tomato juice then, without alcohol. That was okay. Then the bill came and I saw that I was charged FULL COCKTAIL PRICE ($8) for my tomato juice. She said, Well we used the Bloody Mary mix for your juice so we have to charge you full price. I was flabbergasted. But there was no alcohol in it, I said. I said you've got to be able to do something. She talked to management, came back and said NO. I didn't want to leave a tip because, at the very least, the waitress should have told us the JUICE would cost as much as a real cocktail. But my husband insisted it wasn't her fault. The scrambled eggs were filled with breakfast meats and cheese, served over crispy hash browns, and topped with a savory gravy. Does that sound like a lot of food? Well, there's more. For a small fee, toast can be upgraded to a scone; do yourself a favor and upgrade! The scone is a shareable size and comes out hot and fresh, with a side of honey butter and strawberry jam (jam tasted home made which I appreciate). I went into Ramblin Roads half starved and slightly skeptical (only because it was brand new to me). By the end of the meal, I was so full I felt I needed to be rolled out of the restaurant. I recommend reserving some time after breakfast to take a nap, which I promptly did. Staff was so kind even though everyone was working at full speed ahead. This place is decent, a lot of the food is premade. The eggs are not fresh, they sit next to the grill and are poured to order. The meats like the ham and sausage sit out exposed to the air, they don't change their cooking oil in the deep fryers. They don't follow the liquor laws, and none of the servers wash their hands, just watch. The restaurant is old and smelly and desperately needs a remodel, the floors and walls are dirty. If you look online, there have been multiple health code violations along with a labor commission violation, they stole the servers tips and they treat their servers like garbage. read more
