Kolsch
Polina K.

Great selection of creative beers brewed by Saltfire on site, as well as other local beers and ciders. This is the best Kolsch I found in Salt Lake so far. Inside has plenty of seating, including at the bar, and a covered patio is also available (with a couple of fire pits). They also have their own food truck with a rotating menu.

The fantastic Summer Camp Crush!

An unexpected treat especially with the style of beer we were drinking involving SaltFire. I have said before in my reviews how picky I am with New England IPA's and what part of the country they are coming from and of course what brewery makes them. The Summer Camp Crush made by SaltFire has been one of my favorite New England IPA's since I first discovered them and drinking them often... which is right around when the pandemic started. This IPA had all the citrus, juicy, bitter flavor features one should see with a good New England IPA and the hazines in appearance is important too. This wonderful beer laid out a very pleasurable unfolding of complexity and uniqueness which is what I'm always searching for for what I think makes up a good craft beer. It's been a bit of time since I had this beer and despite that the fact that I can recall the beer drinking experience specifically with it earns SaltFire five stars.

SaltFire Brewing is my favorite brewery. I have been to hundreds of breweries around the nation and I can't get over how solid SaltFire is. I have not been disappointed with any of the brews here. I always stock up on SaltFire brews. Check it out if your are near. Mr. swickel the brewery cat is pretty cool too.

You can go ahead and scratch off every other brewery in Utah off your list. Saltfire is the only one you need to go to. Real craft at its finest, something for everyone, and drumroll... Beer over 4%!! The tasting room is adjacent to the brewery. The ambience is clean and cool, without being snooty. The beer tender, Alec, was super friendly, and full of knowledge. I loved his recommendations about which beers to taste, and which beers to get a full bottle of. The bar Isn't just a beauty to look at, it's a highly functional charging system. there is a wireless charging under each seat. So you can just take your phone cover off set it down and it charges! Genius! So in my brewery travels across Utah, I found that most of them don't serve beers over 4%. Even if they make the beer over 4% (which is also rare), you can't try it before buying a bottle. This is why I like salt fire. You can taste every single bottle they have for sale. Keeping up with all the other craft beer industries in America. Not only that but you can tell that the Brewers are in it with their hearts, and their taste buds. The beers are simply amazing. With enough money, Anyone can brew beer and sell it. But it takes a real passion to make it a good one.

A tasty SaltFire at St Regis

SaltFire Brewing Company has the best hand-crafted beer The brewpub in Salt Lake City offers so many different styles of beer on tap, including two of my favorites the Dirty Chai and The Mexican Lager. The eclectic choice of micro brews will feed the need for a frosty brew. This is a must for locals as well as people visiting from out of State. The St Regis in Deer Valley has its own SaltFire label. Now that is a beer with a view!

Great beer and very nice bartender. Helped me pick out the beer that might be to my liking and was patient with me! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. :)

We came, we drank while eating wonderful food from Tacos Garay. Like Epic, they really specialize in high gravity beer. It was an inviting space, and a bartender and employees we really enjoyed getting to know on a Sunday lunchtime visit. They are doing some really interesting styles. Each month the son and I visit breweries while the wives are at lunch. It's shown up the huge diversity, breadth, and depth we now have in SLC. Each one has to carve out a niche. SaltFire does it with aplomb. This is the first place where I've taken home a mixed case of beer.In case you missed it, you can bring in some food to match with your beer.

I ABSOLUTELY love this place. Instead of me writing this great summary, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will NOT be bummed. The bar tenders are friendly and super fun to hang out with which makes it the best place in so salt lake. It has the warmest feel that is unexplainable.

Nice (and new) local brewery using (mostly) locally sourced ingredients to make some cool, interesting beers. They've got the basics (saisons, stouts, pilsners) along with experimentals and short runs (New England styles, ginger beers, etc.). Super knowledgeable brewers always on hand and some awesome gear. Definitely a good spot to check out, especially with Utah's new taster rules (up to 16 ounces at a time).

Good atmosphere, good beer. My regular spot. High pint beers license as well as low in house and guests on tap.

Nice atmosphere and I enjoyed the live music. I thought the prices were too expensive. And $10.99 for a cider? Are you kidding me?

We tried this brewery based on the recommendation of some locals. They don't seem to have any beers on tap, but they're still all served cold from a can or bottle. I believe it is something to do with Utah's archaic alcohol laws, where you cannot serve draft beer over 5% ABV. In any case, it doesn't matter here because they have so many beer options and pretty much everything we bought a taster of was delicious! It was so good, we ended up with a rather large bill because we bought several beers to take back home and show our friends. We will definitely be back with the rest of our friend group! I highly recommend the S'mores beer, Coffee Stout (they have several kinds and I can't remember the exact name, but it was one of their most popular ones and it tasted like a cold brew coffee), and the Pumpkin Porter.

Ordering was kind of confusing because you had to wait in line instead of just walking up to the bar. One of the bartenders quickly explained it to us so we got in line. The line moved very quickly. Once we ordered our first beers, we sat at the bar and our bartender then took the rest of our orders while seated there. It seemed like once you ordered and established your seats, you could get waited on at your table but you had to order through the line first. There were 3 or 4 bartenders covering the bar and all the various seating areas. Our bartender was very attentive and we never had empty glasses before she was asking if we wanted another round. There was one time where she got side tracked and there was a very slight delay in bringing the next round for my wife and she profusely apologized and comped that round, but we didn't even notice the delay, to be honest. All the beers were great and the handmade pretzel from a place down the street was delicious. The tasting notes on their menu were spot on for the 5 or 6 beers we tried. They have a lot of seating in the main area and large patio in the back that were both pretty crowded, which is why we sat at the bar. We later found out about their "barrel room" that is in the back behind all the brewing equipment. One of the bar backs said it was a more laidback and quiet area. We peaked back there before we left and had we known about it, we would have sat back there because it's exactly like how it was described. Even with the large crowd we had a great time and it never seemed crowded with the speed of service we got.

Got a couple schnitts thinking i could quickly chug a couple beers before my flight since it is half oven and half liquid. However, it was quite a hefty poor and very enjoyable. I got the kolsch and helles lager and both were easy and crushable. Very delicious and clean. Also got a taster of the Pilsner and that was as well easily crushable and clean. The german beers here are one of the best and phenomenal. I can't get enough. The IPA is here are solid as well. Great vibes has TV with sports and a lot of seating and outdoors as well. The only issue I have unfortunately at this visit was I was trying to grab a glass to take home with me. However, there was a huge line for people to get carded so the front desk guy wanted to card them in first. That was understandable as that created a huge line and backed up the front door. However, someone came behind me with cans so he let them pay first and by the time they finish paying, more people were coming in to get carded. He decided to card them instead of letting me purchase a glass . So at that time I had just left instead of waiting for the continuous cycle of getting carded I'm having to further wait. Hopefully when things are busy, they will have someone to help out carting people in. Otherwise fantastic brewery.

It's tucked away just enough to feel local and laid-back, yet still close to everything. The beer selection was solid, with a few creative options worth trying, and the staff was friendly and happy to chat about their brews. If there was one miss, it was the pretzel--it tasted like it came straight from the freezer and was served with nacho cheese instead of a traditional beer cheese or mustard, which was a little disappointing. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable, especially for dog owners looking for a casual, pet-friendly spot to relax with a drink.
