Great space in Logan! We were sat outside first but the wind ended up picking up in a crazy way and they were very kind and quick about moving us inside. Great spot while in Logan. We visited twice during our time in town and liked our food and drinks both times. The service is friendly and fast also. My favorite item I tried was the tomato bisque soup. It's served very hot, is creamy and delicious. I wish it were served with a cracker, roll or crouton however. My husband enjoyed the pale ale on draft and our child loved her cheesy shells pasta. Plenty of types of seating and sometimes they have a fun trivia night which looked really popular. Went for last visit ever last Tuesday. Arrived, seated, and ordered well before trivia started. They were out of my first 5 beer choices. We did get our appetizer, so we know the order ticket went to the kitchen. After an hour waiting for 4 burgers we were told the ticket was lost but would put a rush on the order. After another hour we were offered a free dessert for our inconvenience. We never received our food. Ended up at lucky slice next door and had dinner in less than 10 mins. Traveling through Utah, we explored Logan. Downtown area was cool place with all the shops & professional businesses. We decided to have a light lunch at Prodigy Brewery. They were not super crowded and as usual we sat at the bar. Bartenders, Emma & Monica, greeted us with a smile and were very delightful. As "out-of-towners", we felt very welcomed. Emma was quite attentive with a good personality, making sure we had what we wanted. Menu had several things that looked enticing and some of the meals passing us to be delivered looked good too. Not being hungry, we ordered their smoked chicken wings. They had to be the best wings we've had in a while. Moist, plump and full of flavor. The carrots & celery sides were crisp & freshly cut. As a Nevadan, I'm not sure what the standards are for rating a brewery in Utah. It's different? They are required to physically take every single adult's ID up to the front to verify before they'll bring out your alcoholic beverage? (They did this even for the clearly 60 years and older adults in our party.) That slows everything down. I visited as part of a private party, which they did an amazing job hosting in the basement in a dining area next to the brewing tanks. They did a great job accommodating us and separating checks. Our server even discounted the group 20% because of how long the food and beverages took to come out. Why four stars? Because beignets: absolutely delicious and so surprising to find on the menu. Because they let my husband eat shells and cheese off the kids menu and gave him an adult-sized rather than a child-sized serving of them. The aesthetic of this building was super cool. read more

Right up front I need to say I based my rating solely on the beer. The service was super, super friendly, and the menu looked ok, if you wanted a burger or pizza. Had the appetizers offered more variety, we might have at least tried one of those. But the beer... oh my goodness, it was awful. Which is pretty bad to say for a brewpub. I tried both the seasonal porter and the Irish amber ale, both of which were watery-tasting at best. There was absolutely no body to the porter, and no head on either of the beers. Again, I feel bad for the low rating because it seems like the kind of place that's popular with the locals. And, as I said, the service was great. Looks like changes have been made, the pizza is here and there is even Sunday brunch. My rose was a perfect pour. My husbands 302 Pilsner was an excellent German style brew. Came in for brunch and was blown away. I do not know what type of crack they added to their hash browns but I threw carb counting out the window. There is also a whole side of the brunch menu for different Bloody Marys. This visit I got the margarita pizza and my husband got the Serrano burger. I was a bit sad he didn't upgrade to the truffle fries. My pizza was good though the cheese was a bit salty. My husband enjoyed the burger and fries but didn't know where the Serrano pepper was I did notice that during brunch they turned the music way loud. During our lunch wasn't too bad. read more

Will was such a jerk. We went in an hour and 15 min before they closed and were super nice and respectful but he was THE WORST SERVER I HAVE EVER MET. I am a manager of a restaurant in Bear Lake and can understand being upset at someone coming in right before close, but someone coming in over in hour before has never warrant such AWFUL service. I am never one to post a bad review considering my work experience I am very understanding when people have a bad day, but my man must have been broken up with, sleep deprived and some kind of deficient, vitamin or otherwise. It was my brother's 21st birthday and he made it so uncomfortable and awkward for us. And to find out THIS GUY WAS THE MANAGER. We are new to the area and decided to check this place out based on the good reviews. The 2 stars are strictly for the food. Service could use some improvement. It took a good 10minutes or more before we were greeted. The server took our drink orders, brought back 2 drinks and forgot my husband's for another 10minutes or so. Upon finally receiving his drink we ordered the caramelized onion appetizer, each ordered a burger with a salad and soup as a side, and a kids pizza for our son. The server did not write anything down, I told my husband when he walked away that it was brave of the server as we had customized our meals. I seriously wondered if he would be able to get it right. After a bit of waiting, I noticed our burgers were about to be brought to us, but no appetizer and that's exactly what happened. Okay cool, I guess we don't get the appetizer. My husband ordered a side Caesar salad with his burger, it came almost dry with no dressing. I ordered the tomato soup as my side to my burger, soup arrived cold. We let the server know about the soup and asked for more dressing, he was very nice about it and took it back and brought me another soup. Then came back with the extra dressing another few minutes later. The new soup was maybe 5 degrees warmer than the last soup, so barely luke-warm. He did come back and ask if it was better, I said it was but honestly I was just done at that point. The experience was not good and just kept getting worse, I do not like to complain so I just ate the luke-warm soup instead of sending it back a second time. Burgers were really good, that was the highlight of our experience. My son really enjoyed his kids cheese pizza. If I could give any advice to the server it would be to start writing things down. As a server myself for many years, once people start customizing things that's when you really need to pull out the pen and paper. It would have saved our entire experience. Summer road trip 2022, driving through nowhere. My husband hasn't hit a brewery in days. We have been eating simple food in the RV. I find Prodigy- light at the end of the tunnel! Or so I thought... 1. Logan is an adorable little town that looks like downtown has been revamped with youth by hipsters! There was a little artisan street market happening when we stopped by. Old marquee signs reinvigorated- loe it! 2. This review is highly unfair to Prodigy. When we visited they were only open for 3 days. I have high hopes they are working through the bumps and will be a success. On that note, super nice facility. Industrial inside with a modern touch. Comfortable feeling. The bathroom area is under construction but hey, still a new restaurant! The menu- they did not have the pizza oven in yet so no pizza's available. I ended up getting mac and beer cheese. We also ordered an order of crystal hot wings. The hot wings were not that hot and the blue cheese was not good. My mac and cheese was not served hot, it was luke warm so therefore not very creamy. The Mac n cheese came out cold and was just bland. The pretzel was pretty good though. We also had their tap Hefeweizen which we didn't love. It just tasted bland. Finally made it to Prodigy last weekend while my daughter was in town. I agree with other reviews posted here on Yelp. First, if you're not from Cache Valley and you've been to your share of breweries, you're likely to be disappointed. They only had 4 beers available the night we went - barely enough for a flight and probably not what a seasoned brew-hopper is expecting. But for those of us who are local, we're finally getting a grown up food scene here in Logan. Our first real bar opened less than 2 years ago at the height of the crazy pandemic restrictions. That was followed by a classy wine and whiskey bar with one of the valley's top chefs, and now a brewery. When I moved here 15 years ago, I thought I had entered a culinary wasteland. Our best Indian food is served at a gas station. So locals are excited - and patient. Our service started out a little rough when we were forgotten by the front desk, but we recovered quickly with the expert care of one of the best servers I have had at any restaurant. The guys behind the bar were working their asses off making drinks with a show of flair, and food was constantly being shuttled across the room to hungry guests. It was a beehive of activity, if not a little bit loud. We already knew that not all menu items were available so it helps to ask about shortages up front. We ordered the fried pickles appetizer, both burgers, and the fried chicken sandwich. I completely agree with another reviewer who commented on the size of the appetizer - it borders on comical as the photo shows. I hope the owners are paying attention to this one - maybe do some benchmarking at Elements who offers a fried pickle appetizer for the same price, and make some adjustments. They were delicious, as were all of our sandwiches. The fries are a natural cut and perfectly cooked, not greasy, just delicious. Some complained about the quantity but we did not have that experience. They are lightly seasoned so the suggestion to put a pair of salt and pepper shakers at the table is a good one - everybody has their own preference for salt and that has got to be okay. I saved the best for last so if you have been to Prodigy and not had the beignets, at least go back and give them a try. The beignets may be the best food I have put in my mouth. I get that when you go to a brewery you are thinking of beer and a burger or beer and pizza, but it is worth going just for the dessert while the rest is coming. So the beer pickings are currently a little slim and they are working to bring the others on line while serving up some amazing cocktails. The full menu is not yet available but what they are serving is delicious. Other than the fried pickle appetizer, I found the prices in line with the current market. Everything is expensive these days so I focus on quality, and Prodigy delivered with an expectation of what is to come. read more

I love coming to Prodigy Brewing because it has good vibes and the staff are always friendly! Today, I got the Hop Light District Hoppy Belgian Ale and it was good! I will definitely order it again. I also got their special Mexican hot chocolate with tequila in it and I highly recommend that if it's still available. They made it really warm which is nice for the colder weather. They also host Trivia night every Tuesday which is a really great time to go here! Make sure you reserve for those nights! It tends to get crowded! read more

Love this place! We live part time in Logan (during the week mostly) and it is now a weekly go-to. The space is modern - what you would expect from a newer brewpub. Everything we have tried here is great. I'm a huge fan of nachos and get hungry just thinking about theirs with the delicious beer cheese. We recently tried their Summer Berry Salad and Smoky BBQ Pork pizza. Both yummy! The wings are good too. Avoid the "crystal hotter" sauce. It's not great and it's not hot. The smoked bbq were definitely the better choice. Service has always been good every time we have visited. We generally sit at the bar but have also sat out back on their patio which is dog friendly. The farmhouse s as he is a good Saison, hit all the right flavor notes, and I enjoyed it. The Pilsner, however, was sulphery, both in smell and taste. Recommend giving it a few days more to off gas before carbing and kegging. Staff seemed disorganized, and didn't seem to want to be there. They got to us quickly, but were cold and dismissive, then seemed to be rushing us to order more beer or leave. The wood fired pizza css as me out warm, not hot like it had just been cooked. Seemed more like it had been prepared and mostly cooked ahead of time, then let sit to cool off, then when we ordered it, they threw it back in for not quite long enough?? Don't come this way too often, but won't stop here again when we do. read more

Pretty solid brewpub with a bit of a hipster vibe. The brew a good variety of beer styles, thankfully the taplist isn't dominated by a bunch of IPA. Overall I was really surprised at some of the negative/lukewarm reviews on here. This is a really solid brewery with excellent food (three data points for me, wife and kid) and some good beers (kid and I tried three between us). And IPA, a pineapple sour and the farmhouse ale. Inside Inside has a nice vibe, NBA playoff on high quality TVs but volume down so didn't overwhelm conversation. Packed with families and young people on a Friday night in May. Outside/Overall Setting and Location We sat outside in their small but well served open area. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. Only in Logan for a few days to move my kid here for graduate school but if I was here longer I'd be back. I sit at the bar usually, and I am always impressed with the attitude of the employees and the knowledge they have of the menu. I am thrilled that we have a brewery in town. The servers are courteous and seem like they enjoy being here. I've had most of the food menu. All good and I like that it's short and sweet...not huge, but offers variety. Overall, friendly, well lit, and not so loud that you have to yell. They have some great hand crafted cocktails as well. The bartenders are knowledgeable...even if you throw them a curve ball! It took us a long time to get noticed, a long time to get waters, a long time to get menus, a long time to take our order, a long time for our drinks, and a really long time for our food. The drinks were wrong and (after a long time) reordered twice but they never got it right. It was a frustrating fiasco. Visiting from out of town and our friends recommended this local brewery. This busy micro was a pleasant surprise from the often talked about stigma of Utah dining experience. Had the bangers and mash special. Service was fast and friendly. Our timeline didn't allow for us to sample the local brews but the locals raved about them. My wife had The prodigy burger and loved it. Such a great place that has hints of old ambiance from the local shops. The brewery is well lit and very inviting. Perhaps our experience was rocky due to the newness of the place so we will try again buts here's my review for now: greeting was awkward at the hostess stand. Borderline rude. We were seated near the bar and had a good view of the large tv above the bar. The QR code wouldn't scan so we were handed two paper menus. One had the items they didn't have scratched out. The other was wet. We settled on beer cheese for an app. It arrived as a cold dip with commercial pretzels, carrots, celery, and really thick tortilla chips. Texture and temp were odd but it tasted good. Bitter and beery. A better description of what this app entails would be helpful. We had a sampler of the few beers actually available. Some were good, some were pretty bad. I'm hoping they have some of the more interesting sounding beers available soon. We also had a cocktail. A refill on same cocktail was totally different from the first one. That was weird. It was indeed another French 75 but they seemed to have used a sparkling rose for the second glass. Decent cocktail though, and cheap at $10. The supreme burger was cooked medium and was a large burger with good toppings on a good bun. They did that well. The suprema pizza (they won't let you change any ingredients) was ok. Edges of crust were good but the rest was soggy. Sausage and pepperoni are local-ish and good. Choice of Kalamata olives makes the whole thing a salt lick. I was also surprised by large slices of raw garlic that blew out my palate at first bite. That was NOT listed as an ingredient and there was a lot of it. The space is bright and wasn't too loud when we were there. We left before the band started so can't comment on how that affected conversation later. Betting it was loud. Our server was good and checked in often. It was an $80 tab including another beer. Not bad. We will try again when they work out the kinks in the kitchen, menu, and beer availability. For Logan, it's an ok option. Elsewhere it wouldn't be in my top choices. read more
