Ok, Evanston isn't as bad as you think after all. Suds Bros. and the excellent weather for our ride up through the Uinta's helped me see that today. The food was tasty and the music memorabilia is fun. I particularly enjoyed the Grand Ole Opry Hatch Print. Well played, Suds. The staff was super helpful despite being undermanned.

Sitting down to a nice, crisp lager.

I've been to Suds Brothers here in Evanston once before but apparently I never wrote a review for it. So I'm going to fix that now. I had two beers from this brewery. One was the Nut Brown which was okay followed by a lager which also was okay. Not the most memorable beer experience however. What I did like was the tacos that I had here which was very tasty along with a side salad. So I definitely was impressed with that(by Wyoming standards that is). Not bad to stop at when on a long trek off of I-80.

Our waiter was so friendly! And wow the chicken panini was amazing. Everything about it was tasty, and I love the bread they use. I usually hate tomatoes but they added good flavor to the panini. The fries I got were also a 10/10, highly recommend getting them with cheese.

We spontaneously decided to drive to Wyoming to knock another state off of our lista nd we are SO glad we did. The town/city of Evanston was extremely beautiful and gave off a hallmark movie vibe if I have ever seen one. We decided to look around and grab a bite because face it, who visits a new city and DOESN'T eat?! We saw Suds and decided, let's give it a try. SO glad we did! The restaurant/brewery gave off a super old time vibe with a number of rock and roll pictures on the wall. Our server, Trent was super attentive and talked us into ordering the spinach did and props to him - because it was FIRE. Sometimes you can never tell with dips (Chains are usually too runny) but this one was thick and actually had feta cheese put on it as well. After we ordered the blues bacon burger with beer battered fries and the cobb salad. Both were delicious and we also had a couple of beers as well. My highlight of the night was the extremely affordable growler that I was lucky enough to take home... $7!!! Who can beat that. Suds was a delight and I would definitely be back.

So many good menu options

I tried Subs Brothers a couple of times during the week. I'm glad I did as my second visit was better than the first. The first visit we got seated quickly. I ordered a Tito's on the rocks with a slice of lime and they brought me a shot of vodka. My burger was over cooked and the onions killed any other flavor it might have had. The beer battered fries were the best part of the meal. We came back two days later and it was a far better experience. I had the strawberry lemonade and it was incredibly refreshing. This time I got the burger without onions and it was cooked far better. It was juicy and flavorful. Definitely check Suds Brothers out when you are in Evanston!

The food was amazing at this place. The Fish and Chips were amazing. They are my new standard. Regina was great attending to us. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for all the information you provided us. Loved all of the Rock n Roll pictures and memorabilia. Great atmosphere.

The fettechini was almost cold. The burger was good from what my husband said. The fried cheese curds were great.

Stopped by while checking out the area. One of the only places to get a drink at 11am to keep the liver functioning. Good wings and service.

We walked in at about 9:40 pm. The kitche closes at 10. We wouldn't have been surprised to be turned away, but the wonderful woman covering the bar and kitchen, forties, glasses, dark hair, was very friendly and gracious. She also took excellent care of us, despite really having to hustle. I had the pulled pork tacos and my wife had the teriyaki wings. The tacos(I ordered two)were stuffed with pulled pork that was very tasty, and came with crema, a sweet relish salsa, and cheese(a slight upcharge). My tacos came with tortilla chips that were crispy and well salted. My wife liked her wings. If we're passing through again, we would definitely stay in Evanston and have a meal at Lincoln Highway Tavern.

This place is attached to the bowling alley and we arrived around 2:30 ish and it did look closed from the street since no one was there at that time but they were indeed open so definitely don't let that sway you. The ladies were friendly and welcoming and we found out they make most all the sauces fresh in house. We opted for the Bacon Jam pizza which was a nice change of pace. Homemade bacon jam, steak, grilled onions and green poblano and corn I believe... it was delicious. We also ordered the pickle fries which were hot and crispy and the homemade ranch really was perfect for them. Thank you Moria and Ashley we wish we would still be around on Thursday to come in again for $1 bowling and to try another pizza, but sadly we were just passing through. We were immediately concerned that the menu had changed pretty considerably when comparing the menu that's currently available on Yelp. We switched our previous decisions as to what we may have ordered, and looked at what was available currently. (They apparently have had a change of ownership/management) We ordered a pepperoni, with olives, mushrooms and fresh garlic. It was a really good pizza! The toppings were generous, and the sauce and cheese were delicious! it was the kind of slice that's difficult to get to your plate without leaving a string of yummy mozzarella that refuses to let get of the pie! The crust was really tasty too. They rub the outer crust with garlic butter for a really nice golden and garlicky finish, and although it was close to being a little too brown on the bottom, it still had a really nice crunch and chewy nature. It was a wonderful way to end the day! The folks at the full bar were very sweet and friendly, as was the bartender/manager/owner/chef (?). We will definitely go out of our way to visit again when driving through, maybe we'll even have time to bowl!

Some locals were playing pool and the waitress treated us like we were in that same category. Onto the food - they server two mains, burgers and hot dogs. We both went with the burgers. Cooked perfectly and we savored every bite. The wife went with a double cheeseburger with bacon and I went with the classic Star burger - two patties and a krautwurst. Notably my wife doesn't like bacon all that much but she ate every single bite of the double burger and did not even give me wee bit of bacon. Chips were chips, just fine. It is a cash only (and Venmo) and they even have an ATM, just in case. Have not seen one of those outside of Vegas in years. Can't say enough good things about stopping in to grab a burger or dog, soak up the atmosphere and just relax for it. Comprehensive beer menu but we did not partake that day.
