When you walk in the door there is a table with pads that you put you order on, then take it to the checkout and pay. Luckily the cashier help us. We love homemade and this place has just that. Our sandwiches were made with regular bread toasted. I had the turkey bacon pesto and it was delicious. If you didn't mind sitting in the sun by the windows, the views were beautiful! read more

Back at Ol' Gris, trying a new hot sandwich today, since the last few times I've always gone with the Turkey Bacon Pesto, and they started to really lack on the amount of pesto sauce on the sandwich. Today I'll give the Chicken Bacon Ranch a try. After dining at other similar restaurants I noticed that Ol' Gris could use some updated fountain drink options- might even be a good idea to start making some specialty lemonades! I think this would make Ol' Gris stand out above other sandwich bakery stops. Review on Chicken Bacon Ranch- similar to Turkey bacon pesto, all I'm tasting in the sauce is mayo... really need to amp up the ranch or pesto- especially if it's in the name. read more

I absolutely love a great bakery, and during our visit to Brigham City, we couldn't wait to try the Old Grist Mill. It definitely didn't disappoint! The dining area was spacious, and the staff was super friendly. I had a breakfast bagel on a tomato basil bagel, and it was so good that we came back the next day for the same one! Great place for baked treats and Breakfast! Their breakfast sandwiches are grilled and delicious. I love the croissant sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. Their sweet rolls (I love the raspberry) are delicious! The baked bread is great too. We've eaten here several times for lunch (pretty much your average regular sandwich and chips) dinner (pizza and baked pasta) but usually only come for the breakfast. Rarely is there a long line that you have to wait for but sometimes you can wait for around 10 minutes for your food. Lastly, and the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5, is that some of their staff could be friendlier. I'm not naming names or pointing fingers but if you go you'll see there is an employee that is sometimes grumpy. I don't let her spoil my experience, but it is what it is I guess. read more

A local favorite. Prices are right and you order the sandwiches exactly the way you wish. Bread is made on-site daily and sold by the loaf. They really go through a LOT of bread. My absolute favorite, the Pumpkin Square: Perfectly moist and dense enough to spring back only slightly with a slight stickiness to the square, comparable to the best kind of brownie. The icing is thick and creamy without being overly sweet so you taste the cream cheese over the mild sweetness. I get one every time I go, which is every time I am near Brigham City! read more

Underwhelming. We ordered potato soup and corn chowder. The potato soup was lukewarm and lacked flavor. Mostly it tasted greasy. The corn chowder was at least hot and had some flavor from the corn. Both soups were very thick, like they had been cooked with too much flour. The sandwiches were adequate. The bread was very soft and didn't have much body to it. The raspberry roll was mediocre. Not much raspberry flavor and the dough was meh. On top of it all, the order slips are confusing. None of the hot sandwiches were listed on the sheet and you just had to guess that you were supposed to write in one of those sandwiches in the white space. You also could mark a combo, which on the board says what it comes with (e.g. half sandwich, cup of soup, cookie). But you still have to make a note of everything in the combo on the order slip. Why have a combo number listed if you still have to record all the deals of the combo? read more

I had heard of this place several times, but finally got to stop! I came in on a Monday a 1/2 hour before closing & the staff were soooo kind to answer all my questions & give me suggestions! Yummy! I had the turkey, bacon, pesto on an Asiago cheese bagel grilled & it was PERFECTION. I got it with a cup of Tomato Ravioli & some flavored steamed milk and pretty much was in heaven! YUMMM! The bread and other baked goods were delicious, along with the sandwiches! I got the turkey bacon pesto sandwich, and I'd definitely get it again! The bread is house made and all the ingredients are fresh! I also tried the potato soup, but it wasn't my favorite. I like more chunky soups and it was a lot creamier than I thought it would be, so I'd probably try a different soup next time. The combos are great because you can try a few different things, which is awesome! The prices are soo affordable here. And you can buy bread by the loaf and baked goods by the tray.
