This place has a cool history and I was also very pleased with the pleasant and efficient staff. The ambiance is definitely more casual, but nice also. The hot chocolate was delicious and tasted homemade, although I'm unsure if it was or not. Also, they offer free refills on it which is different than most places! I ordered the veggie omelet, added ham and was going to order extra cheese on it but I'm glad I didn't because the cheese was epic as ordered! They offer a lot of side options and upgrade options. I got the cinnamon swirl pancake which tasted heavenly and similar to cheesecake. My husband ordered the carnitas skillet with a side of the stuffed French toast which came with decadent homemade lemon butter! Both the skillet and the omelet came with homemade fresh pico de gallo which was delicious! And they both also came with very crispy potatoes perfectly seasoned with seasoning salt. Super cute little restaurant in Logan Canyon. They were busy but got us in pretty quick. The had indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside but the patio looked super nice too! The booths are big and comfy but the tables are a little funky for little ones since there's a big gap between the bench and the table. The entrees are decent sized and we easily could've taken leftovers if we weren't headed for a day of fishing! Our favorite was the kid's meal chicken strips. It came with crunchy french fries and a really good ranch dip! My husband got the daily special- chicken and waffles. He liked it, just wished there was a little more chicken. I got a breakfast combo with scrambled eggs and pancakes. I loved the pancakes! They have a slight lemony flavor. The coffee was strong but good and the service was great! Our waitress was very nice and she gave us our coffees for free since she forgot them at first. Overall we enjoyed our experience and will be back! Herm's inn is delicious! It's a giant restaurant with a basement level of seating which is really nice, and spacious. There was a long wait and pretty crowded but it went fast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were soft and fluffy and the gravy was unlike any other that I've had. It was tasty but definitely unique, I couldn't quite place all of the flavors. The side of potatoes were yummy, and the eggs. There was tons of yummy food. Service was good, they were on top of everything. They made sure to keep the water filled. Checked out Herm's Inn this weekend on a quick trip to Logan. We stopped for brunch. We attempted to make reservation over the phone but said they only take in person reservations. We ended up only waiting probably 5 minutes when we got there, so not bad at all. Service was really quick too. I ordered the Greek Skillet. I loved this dish! The potatoes were cooked to perfection. I should have asked for light spinach because there was a lot of spinach on this and I just don't love too much spinach. The strawberry jam for the toast was perfect! It tasted homemade, I loved it! My friend ordered the stuffed French toast & she loved this! It came with a raspberry cream with strawberries on top. I liked that they offered different sizes of this meal as well. The service was fast. The food was really delicious. I got a cheese omelette that was perfect well seasoned and not bland. My daughter got the eggs Benedict and it had a delicious hollandaise sauce on a very complex., not at all, overpowering perfectly done the place is very quaint and still big enough for a large party. It could easily accommodate a large family and grandchildren, and then they also have intimate smaller spaces and booths. The service was great. I wouldn't hesitate coming here for a moment. In fact, I intend to come back with my wife in the future and share it with her. Very friendly servers, who really work together to keep things running smooth. Really liked the style of the old timey signs on the walls and the signs out front with first/last chance for great food in front of the restaurant depending what direction you are coming from. The chicken was tasty as well as the gravy and biscuit. The potatoes were a bit over done but good with the hot sauce at the table. Well, that was worth the hype and 30 minute wait. I asked my sister-in-law, 'why do you love this place' while we waited. She said it was all the usual diner food, but elevated, with consistent service and food. And I think that's the best explanation. I ordered a veggie omelet with egg whites and a pancake. Dude. So MANY POTATOES. Don't eat all the potatoes. I so full for so long and only had half of those and half the pancake. My brother had the eggs Benedict which he loves and frequently orders and my sister-in-law had the chicken and biscuit which she loves and always takes half home--IT WAS HUGE!!! I noticed they were smothered in gravy which I would get on the side, but to each their own. Honestly, One of the coolest and most delicious breakfast locations I've been to in a long time. The ambiance is top notch with much attention to detail and it is located in an amazing area. Herm's Inn was a fun atmosphere and nice staff. We came here on recommendation from a close family member who knew all the history and everything! We love the diner vibe! The food was pretty good! We tried a couple different things, steak and eggs, herm's classic (I think that's what it's called), stuffed French toast, and cinnamon roll pancakes. The portion sizes are massive! I could have just got the pancakes and had been happy. My partner said the steak could have been better for it being $25, but it was NY strip so he wasn't mad. The Denver Omelette and Stuffed French Toast were off the charts good. I still can't believe you can get red bell peppers in your omelette. Most restaurants only offer green peppers, which don't taste very good. The flavored cream in the stuffed french toast is heavenly! The house salad was loaded with veggies that made it better than most. My son and his future, er uh, his girlfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. I'm not the best critic of food but I can say that it was fresh, hot, and delicious! Service was also 5 star. Cool atmosphere and great location to go for a walk afterward if you are in the mood. Herm's Inn is hopping on a weekend, but if you're only two people, you can easily walk in and get a seat at the counter bar. I believe there are ten bar seats available. We were seated immediately, but there were parties of two who waited for a booth or table for the entire duration of our visit. That's commitment! My husband got the biggest pancake that he'd ever seen, and my classic breakfast was predictably tasty. My husband's only suggestion for improvement is having real maple syrup available. Bear Lake for summer vacation but still wanted to try some good food. My Nephew and his spouse, who both went to Utah State, suggested Herm's Inn in Logan. It gets great reviews so we gave it a try and it did not disappoint. Nice little spot at the entrance to Logan canyon, past the lower pond. We sat out on a little patio with an out door fireplace and lawn area, so relaxing and peaceful. Everything on the menu looked good and I couldn't decide, so I ordered the "I give up" breakfast which comes with a little of everything. It was way too much food and could definitely be shared. I chose the buttermilk waffles with "the works" whipped cream, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, bananas and it was so good. Came with some lemon butter and a big bottle of syrup that stays on the table. Choice of eggs, I upgraded to an omelet with cream cheese, peppers and jalapeños. It was very good. With breakfast potatoes and gravy. Oh and toast if you're still hungry, and bacon, lol. It was all so good 5/5. My wife had a hard time deciding what to order, as it all looked good, but went with the Florentino eggs Benedict with spinach and it was amazing. She loves a good gravy and asked if she could get a side for her potatoes which they brought out and it was one of the best gravies she's had. 5/5 She took the rest of the gravy with us to pour over eggs the next day, she's very excited about this. Jeremy the owner, or cook, or something was so nice and stopped by a couple of times to check on us and you could really tell he took pride in the food. We bonded over gravy and said we'd definitely be back. Well done Herms Inn, I now have a favorite restaurant in Logan. TL;DR Large portions Super cool location Good food Friendly service Moderately priced Modern feel in a sleepy town There is a lot of stuff in Logan that feels a little run down and dated, but not this place. It has a very new and modern feel. It's located at the mouth of the canyon and has a beautiful patio to the sit on if you like eating outside. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and the wait was about 20ish minutes but they had plenty of lawn chairs to sit on outside while you wait. The portions are pretty huge and some of their items like the cinnamon roll and pancakes are absolutely massive. We saw a pancake walk past our table that was the size of a large pizza. They also offer their pancakes smothered in cinnamon and sugar which is what I got. It was very sweet, but I definitely enjoyed the portion of it in was able to eat! The cost of each meal ranges between $10-$25 dollars, which for some might be a little spendy for breakfast. For two people (including tip) we were over $50 for breakfast. That being said, my partner ordered steak and eggs which was $25 on its own. The bacon is really good and the house potatoes are awesome. Overall we very much enjoyed our first experience. Will definitely return again whenever we come back to Logan. read more

We were just passing through and our friends who live her suggested we come for breakfast. I am so glad we followed their advice. First of all, what an absolutely cool place. The ambiance is fun and so many things to look at and discover. The service was impeccable from hostess to servers and runners. Everyone happy to be there and so professional. It was a very enjoyable experience. The food is AMAZING, so really delicious. I wish I had a warning about serving sizes, none of us were able to finish our plate. We happened upon this restaurant while looking on Yelp for breakfast places while in Logan. We were seated immediately and sat on the outdoor patio area which was perfect this time of year. The waitress was great and was at our table super quick with waters and ready for our drink order. We both decided on the Mexican scrambler which was delicious but enough to feed us both so we should have shared. It had chicken and chorizo scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes, black beans, pico de gallo and an avocado. It also came with a pancake on the side with the most wonderful lemon butter. I enjoyed everything from the delicious food to sitting on the patio to the friendly and attentive service. I had the veggie omelet.
