OK burgers at a grossly inflated price. Can't understand the high ratings for a so-so burger joint that only serves odd-ball burgers. Why does everything they sell have to have aioli or arugula or some weird overbearing sauce. Would have been happier with a d nice burger with at least an option to get lettuce/tomato and onion on it. Our party of 3 tried different burgers and we all had complaints. Sauce WAY too spicy, the crispy onions on my Bob's burger looked like something that can out of a can and not real onion crisps and the other was just plain bland. All burgers were bland. Buns felt like day-old buns from the grocery store and were barely toasted. Clearly made in a rush. Fries were so-so regular fries were a bit over-done and the garlic fries were OK . Biggest complaint is the brice - grossly overpriced for the quality of food. Making burgers with odd-ball ingredients doesn't make it gourmet - just weird. First visit to Cooks Underground on Federal in Logan. Cozy environment. Order at counter or with QR code at table. The garlic fries are legendary, and come with choice of several dipping sauces. I had the Fire Aioli which went well. The burgers are of the semi-smashed variety and have a great crust. I got the Up In Smoke, which had bacon, provolone and a nice aioli sauce. They have bread puddings. Today's was Orange Marmalade, which was delightful. It even came with a pair of caramelized orange slices which may have been for decoration but are edible! Why haven't you been here yet?!?!! This is the best burger in the Cache Valley and only place of its kind in the 435. I've tried all but 2 burgers here now and just can't pinpoint a favorite, they are ALL amazing. Fries are still legit, hand cut, made fresh. They have several kinds of fry sauces now and you just can't go wrong. Just to really impress, they're adding specialty items like bread pudding to the menu at times. I would do evil things for more of that bread pudding. Service is awesome, everyone is nice and wants to be there. The seating area is small but has a cool, eclectic vibe. This place is the truth. I must caution you on one important point. The cooks in this kitchen are not really underground. They stand on Terra Firma. When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly host in such a way that I must say it was love at first sight for Cooks Underground. They had delicious looking burgers and fries but in this August heat I wanted a salad. They have some unique options here which was the drawing card for me. They provide dressing on the side so you can sauce it up to your own liking. Overall it was a great salad and dining experience. Good parking in the lot across the street. read more

It's pretty rare to go to a restaurant that I have zero critiques but dang this is it. I had the Good Morning burger and my husband had the Ancho Libre and they both were killer. I would 1000x recommend the Good Morning burger as it had so many great elements that complemented each other perfect. It took the classic egg and bacon combo and elevated it with prosciutto, Brie, and arugula. Their fries are great, I think I preferred the ones with chili flakes. We also tried all of their sauces and enjoyed them all. My husband liked the Johnny Utah Fry sauce and I liked the House Fry Sauce. But again all great. I would recommend trying them all, not only just fun but they were all unique and good! The service was quick and friendly and the vibes are just cool underground. read more

Our favorite place for unique burgers and salads. Strong flavors, fresh ingredients, friendly quick service in this small quaint location on Federal Avenue district in Logan. Our favorites are the Lost Ark burger with the remoulade for the fries and oddly enough the Cobb salad with a burger for protein. Get the house vinaigrette dressing it was excellent. Ruby is THE best hostess, waitstaff, cashier, server and human being!! The food was fantastic!! Grilled chicken was the best chicken I have ever had... seriously!! Fries were delicious and the Utah fry sauce Ruby offered us was out of this world good!! REAL and good food here - they even grind their own spices!! The Vibe was the absolute BEST too!! Very busy place, with families, college students, travelers like us and a few people on date night. Not one person was on their phone --- not one! People were talking and laughing and enjoying each other and it was fantastic! It was like walking into a time capsule! Excellent service, friendly staff, out of this world good food and the vibe was something that can't be replicated! It was a profoundly wonderful time well spent at Cooks Underground.
