My wife and I walked around for a few minutes and looked at a couple other restaurants before we went in. We are so happy with the choice we made. Habibi Mediterranean is incredible, truly a hidden gem up in Logan. Family owned in operated, the service was incredible and we took some time to get to know the family owners. They walked us through the menu to help us make sure we were making a great choices. With that, the food was absolutely incredible. We loved everything! We had been traveling the entire day so we enjoyed a Shawarma wrap and some lentil soup along with fries and a couple of other dinner plates. We had a really fun time mixing and matching everything. Yeah, atmosphere is perfect. They stuck with a theme, but didn't go over the top. You truly get a one of a kind Mediterranean experience right in downtown Logan. We stopped in Logan for an overnight stay on our way to Oregon and were searching for a good dinner spot on a Sunday--this place exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, and the service was both friendly and impressively quick. I ordered the Habibi salad along with the kebab plate, while my friends chose the shawarma plate. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The Habibi tea was a highlight--warm, aromatic, and delicately infused with herbs that made each sip truly comforting. The dessert offerings also include baklava and other delicacies. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Everything was delicious! The tabbouleh is one of the best I've had (no skimping on the parsley in this place!) The dessert (halawet el jibn) was a show stopper! I cannot say enough good things about Habibi Mediterranean! We are visiting from out of state and were looking for some good cuisine. The food was so authentic since the restaurant is owned by a family from the Mediterranean. The staff was all so very kind and shared with us the handmade counters with a replica of the Mediterranean Sea built in. Absolutely gorgeous and worth checking out! It literally glowed! They made us feel like family, shared their delicious "homemade" food, and shared a bit of geography while we were there. I would say this will be one of the highlights of our trip! The water was good and the pita was good. The service was fast but the wrap and hummus were so disappointing. We got one chicken wrap and one lamb wrap with a side of hummus and pita. With all the excitement of a new Mediterranean eatery on Federal Ave and positive reviews by trusted individuals who have had events catered by Habibi we anxiously waited for our first experience and foodie review at Habibi. Arrived on a Friday evening for a table for only two, we were met by friendly faces, polite counter service and a clean and simple interior. Not too crowded for a Friday night, maybe 15 people sitting in the booths. We previewed the menu and found it to be somewhat limited from our other eateries. We settled on a lamb shawarma plate and the Mediterranean salad. Their drink selection is very limited, if you are looking for the infamous Utah foundation drinks you won't find it here. We love good med iced teas, but only options for drinks were their house teas, a house mint lemonade, and bottled or canned drinks from a fridge. No matter, we were ready to eat some good med food. Unfortunately, we were notified that our entrees would be about 20 minutes in prep. Fast forward 1hr later, we were having a great conversation together but had only received a heartfelt apology for the delay. Eventually the med salad arrived, served on small plastic catering plates but it was a tasty cucumber/tomato salad. 15 minutes later shawarma arrived. Hummus was excellent and likely the star of the dish, a small tasty cucumber salad but exactly as we had just ordered. Saffron rice was good, a bit under seasoned but when paired with the lamb and hummus was what we expected, only thing missing was a yogurt based sauce of some kind. The lamb was okay, under seasoned as well, fully cooked but no sear, we found a unusual amount of connective tissue/cartilage in the meat. Not a complete turn off for us as we've had food from many locations around the world and know it can be expected at times, but we know people locally who we regularly dine with would frown about it. Habibi Med just opened their doors so a little grace is warranted. They truly are very nice and working to get things up and running smoothly. We were looking for strong med flavors but for us it fell flat. They just need to iron out the back kitchen timing and prep, possibly add a few items and add some drink options for the locals. We will likely return for another date night in the distant future, but we were disappointed with our first experience. Temper your expectations and give them a try. read more

Please keep in mind for this review that they have been open barely a week and are likely working out the kinks still! I'll be excited to return once they settle in! Food took 45 minutes to come out to us in total. One dish was brought out 30 minutes after ordering and the other (within the same order) came out 15 minutes after that. When they came out, food was relatively cold. Flavor was good, but not what I was expecting given the high price point. Not many drink options. I was confused a bit about how the flow of the restaurant is supposed to go. There are menus on the tables but the flow of traffic seems to indicate to order at the counter and then sit. Better signage I think would help. But disappointed as I have been looking forward to this restaurant. Again, they're brand new so I don't hold this against them, just want to give people a heads up. I called to get take out: two chicken schwarma plates, one falafel ball, one baklava and when we picked it up there were 2 schwarma wraps and a falafel plate. At first the employee argued it was our mistake then he apologized and re made the order and gave us all the food they'd prepared without additional charge. I don't have a huge appetite and I rarely finish my plate but I devour habibi mediterrenean. I literally cannot put my fork down. My go to order is a shawarma plate since it comes with the hummus and tabbouleh. And when you mix everything together, it tastes like heaven. I love that the portions are huge and so filling but it doesn't weigh you down or make you feel gross after. Also, the mint lemonade is soo good it tastes so natural and its so refreshing. We have had Habibi Mediterranean cater several of our lunches up at Utah State University. Their food is fresh and delicious. Our faculty, when finding out who is catering our lunches, are always thrilled when we tell them who's providing the food. Yesterday I had them provide food for a family dinner and my son could NOT get enough of the chicken and rice. It was delicious! Some of my favorites are their chicken dishes, rice, salad, grape leaf wraps, hummus, and the tiramisu! Thank you to the family for making such quality, delicious, food!
