The icing ratio could be so much better (c'mon...cover the whole cake top) and the base of the cupcakes seem quite similar with small adjustments on each flavor so they all end up tasting pretty much the same. I have had cupcakes at Hummingbird Bakery on Portobello Road in London. I have had them at Magnolia Bakery in New York City. I've had them all over Salt Lake City. None of them have cupcakes as good as Temptation Cupcake's. I wrote a review for a Utah cupcake blog, and it's something like five pages long of me raving. In short, their cake is dense, moist, flavorful, and doesn't fall apart. It's made from extremely high-quality ingredients, like whole grain flour. Their frosting is fluffy and not greasy. The cream cheese frosting is especially good. It's not too much, but not too little, either. Together, the cake and frosting are not excessively sweet. I hate when I get a cupcake that makes me feel like I downed a box of sugar cubes. The sweetness factor is perfect. The price point is excellent too. We buy a third-dozen every couple days. And we're not even cake people. read more

Service was prompt and friendly, pricing very reasonable. The iced sugar cookie didn't even make it to the city limits. The cookie was chewy and the frosting was a soft light butter cream cheese. Macarons had quite a bit of flavor, the key lime being my favorite. Of the 6 flavors I bought - thin mint, blueberry lemon, caramel cream, cinnamon & sugar, chocolate raspberry and chocolate dipped strawberry - the blueberry lemon was by far my favorite, even eaten the day AFTER purchase. Lots of flavor without the lemon overpowering. Location is a bit of a challenge to get in and out since it's on the corner of a busy intersection, but worth it. I will be back. read more

Disappointing cupcakes. All that I've tried here were just sugar sweet, flavors were dull, everything tasted too similar. Their chocolate lacks any richness, it's bland really. Cake is too light for my liking, fluffy rather than the slightly dense and moist cake I prefer. Frosting here is too light, and when flavored they don't mix enough flavor into it. Even Kimberley's Bakeshoppe brand found at Smith's and Walmart are better than these. They have the denser cake and frosting, more moist, rich flavors for around only $1 each. My advice to them, be bolder, crank your flavors up a notch. Don't be afraid of moist, rich, decadence. It's what we crave. read more

I was looking forward to these cupcakes, but unfortunately they look better than they taste. The shop is clean, I was greeted by a friendly employee, and the cupcakes look delicious; however the cupcakes have a strange texture and most of the ones we tried taste like dough. We tried 4 different flavors and the chocolate base cupcakes were dry with overly sweet frosting and the vanilla base cupcakes were dense, dough like, and flavorless. I am *appalled* by the recent service received from Temptation Cupcake and their owner Taylor. I called to place an order for cupcakes to be shipped to my friend (in Boise, ID). After my call was initially answered, I waited for almost 9 minutes to be helped; the owner admitted she had forgotten my call ... No problem, I wanted to send cupcakes. I asked if Taylor would ship them to Boise and she happily said she would. She let me know she would give me a call once they shipped with my total as the business charges exact shipping. Fast forward 4 days (and 2 days late for when I asked them to be shipped) - I called the business and was told by an employee my card was charged and to check my bank account for the total ... bad juju. My friend received the cupcakes 2 days late and when she opened the box the cupcakes were absolutely destroyed. Inedible. She was able to lick some frosting off the top of the plastic container ... I called Temptation Cupcakes this morning and was able to speak with Taylor on the phone; she denied all culpability in the matter and blamed it on the Post Office. I asked why she offered a service to ship if her company took no care to package the cupcakes appropriately. She offered no response except that "Shipping isn't a service we offer". Um, okay? You offered it to me ... Then, she asked "exactly, what is it you expect me to do?" I asked for a refund and immediately she got defensive and stated she would not offer a refund and that it was "too bad". I started responding to her stating her customer service was awful and I was very disappointed, and she spoke over me and then hung up on me. Let me repeat, the business owner hung up on me. I'm appalled and incredibly disappointed in the service received from this business and will certainly encourage the people I know in Logan, UT to avoid this business. read more

The cupcakes are good and not to call anyone out (obviously politely calling out the review below), but I myself have been all over the world and while these cupcakes are good, and probably some of the best commercial cupcakes you will get in Logan, they are nothing special compared to some of the little cupcake shops in New York. I've never bought a cupcake in Paris, but then again why would you buy a cupcake in Paris? Frosting was good, not too dense and the flavor wasn't overbearing, I hate cupcake shops that try and make it by putting all the flavor in the frosting. But I thought the cupcake itself was a little mushy like a muffin, I guess if you call that the best you've ever had then yeah go for it, but I think I'd prefer a muffin at that point. It was definitely a good treat, but unless I was in a jam I don't think I'd go back, I figure I can make just as good at home and probably save some money. But if you were on a date, or just wanted to get a quick surprise for someone, I'd say go for it. read more

I'm moving back to Salt Lake City soon, and so I made a list of places in Logan that I want to review before I leave. Some I haven't been to and some I've been to and just neglected to review in a timely manner. Temptation Cupcake fell into the latter category. My first experience with them was over a year ago, and it was memorable because our cupcakes were BAD. Not like, moldy, but just not delicious in the way that you expect a cupcake to be. I girded my loins and returned to Temptation a few days ago, hoping that, against all odds, the first visit had been a fluke and their cupcakes actually WERE edible. As my two star rating suggests, this was sadly not the case. I ordered a chocolate ganache cupcake. The color was right, but it wasn't any more chocolate-y than a piece of Wonderbread. There was no flavor, other than that of the too-sweet ganache frosting. My friend ordered chocolate peanut butter and had a similar experience, though he reported that his frosting was actually pretty good. The store is cute and, visually, so are the cupcakes. Sad that they don't deliver in the way that just about any other cupcake shop in Utah is able to. read more

This place is the most helpful and friendly place I've ever dealt with. My daughter is a freshman at USU, and her birthday was today ,my heart was broken that I couldn't be with her today so I wanted to do something special. I messaged the temptation bakery on Facebook and asked her if I'd be able to get something delivered for my daughter she got back to me within an hour and it was after hours as well. Sure enough the young lady was super happy to do it for me. I ordered a dozen cupcakes and 7 macaroons so me daughter could have 19 sweets on her 19 bday. Get it?.... My daughter received them right at 10! SHE WAS SO EXCITED ! It made her day and mine to. She said the cupcakes are amazing! When I realized shipping costs and timing were issues, I opted to "go local". Despite no delivery service on their website, Sheri Lynn was incredibly helpful in her offer of driving cupcakes to the campus. Not only that, she thanked ME for letting her do it and for getting to meet my daughter. I have been here 3 times. I feel like these cupcakes are a nice treat if you don't feel like making anything. They're dense and moist in the middle, and the frosting isn't heavy. I'm not a huge frosting fan in general because it is usually too sweet and thick, but that is not the case for these. I really like the chocolate cupcake with chocolate butter cream. My husband and daughter enjoy the vanilla. The only "dry ness" I've experienced is just on the very edge of the cupcake where frosting isn't covering. But that is to be expected since they're out in the open. I just wish they were a little but bigger for the price. read more

Hard to believe that anyone has had a poor experience. The flavors are great, the manager/owner goes out of her way to be friendly and helpful, and I would eat the cream-cheese frosting with a spoon if that kind of behavior was allowed in civilized society. The first time I stepped into Temptation Cupcake I saw the prices and turned right around. There was no way I was paying $2.25 for a cupcake! A few months later I was at a party and the guy throwing it liked Temptation Cupcake so much he bought cupcakes for all his guests. Of course I had one because who turns down free cupcakes? That was it! It was the best cupcake I ever tasted. I am not a frosting person and usually scrape almost all the frosting off of any cake I get, but even the frosting was delicious. I have since returned many times and happily paid the $2.25. In fact, I would seriously pay double. I have tried many flavors and have never been disappointed. It is a painful process to decide which cupcake to choose since they are all so good. As far as service goes, I have always been treated kindly. The shop attendants are always happy to list and explain every flavor cupcake in stock that day. I even ordered thirty cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party once and the cupcakes were ready on time and exactly what I ordered. Certainly no complaints here! read more

It was my grandsons first birthday and we wanted it to be very special and they were here visiting for the holidays from north Carolina. I had spoke with Taylor the owner and discussed exactly what I wanted which was 6 colorful cupcakes with colorful frosting and birthday sprinkles. She was writing all the information down. I was to pick up on Saturday Dec 28 at noon. We arrived at 12:15 she approached us to buy products told her we were there to pick up order. She grabbed container and just started putting a selection of pre made cupcakes in. Told her what the order was suppose to be,she grabbed order and said the girl wrote down this and the color frosting had been used this morning.I asked her you are Taylor right? (Which is one of the owners) and she replied yes. Told her that she was the one that took the order. She said that wasn't her writing. As the owner she didn't want to admit she messed up. She wanted to add more sprinkles to a already boring cupcake. I ordered them so they would be special.
