I love this market and the restaurant. The owner is from Oaxaca and he was so nice and helpful. It's great to have such a selection of Mexican and Latino foods--all of high quality. I ate this morning at the restaurant and had huevos rancheros. Everything was fresh. It was served more Caribbean style with freshly diced tomatoes, avocado slices, plantains and El Salvadoran tortillas which is more pita like in thickness and texture. Wow, where do I start with this place? It might just be the worst market I've ever visited. It's sketchy and dirty. I was honestly afraid to buy much. Some of the food on their shelves is expired. Prices are high. Grocery selection is poor. Meat counter does have a lot of options. 'Fresh' baked goods are dismal and stale. Drink selection in the cooler is poor. The aisles are a maze. Floor is all scraped and marked where they've moved giant coolers and shelving units around and rearranged them haphazardly. Though it's small, you have to walk around twice to find anything. There is no rhyme or reason to it. In front they cook authentic Mexican food at "Pollo Azteca". But it looked like the grill had not been on all day. And the sad, saaad seating area in the front sits empty. In fifteen years I've never seen one customer eating here. If they were, they'd be easy to spot through the massive front windows. Nope, always empty. This place is a disaster. And with Anaya's now in town, their days may just be numbered. read more

Ranchera market owners and staff are really friendly. They have really good selection of Mexican bread , On Tuesday and Thursday they have specials on the bakery.the selection of meats. Pollo Azteca has good food, my favorite is rotisserie chicken with the sides are really good. read more
