Pupusas are one of my favorite Central American dishes, and I eat them in the markets each summer when I'm traveling in Central America. They come stuffed with refried beans, pulled pork, and cheese (I get mine without cheese, which they're happy to accommodate). On Mondays, pupusas are on special for $1 each, otherwise they're $1.50 each. Two or three are enough to stuff you. Save room for an empanada if you want a sweet treat. Who knew I'd find legit pupusas in Logan, Utah?!? We're considering moving here for Utah State, but Oasis Food is a major selling point.

I had a 3 item combo with a cheese enchilada no onion, ground beef taco, and a relleno. I always have to try a chile relleno when I go to a new state. I had to ask how they made it cause some places make it different than what I am used to. There was an option in the menu that read $2.99 for an authentic relleno. I had to ask. The server explained that what comes with the plate is like an omelette style with the chile cut up (that's what I understood). I was thinking, "Really! I have to pay $3 extra to get a traditional style item. That should be offered automatically if you are serving traditional food." I paid the extra cause I wasn't going to have the 'omelette' style. The taco was ok. The ground beef wasn't hitting me right but I ate it. The rice was good. The beans started out ok but then started to taste funny. I stopped eating them. The relleno started out really good. Nice flavor, easy to cut, lots of cheese. About a 1/3 way through I couldn't cut the chile with my fork and the flavor started to change. I couldn't eat anymore. I took the enchilada and rice with me and left the rest.

The previous reviews were planted by friends and family. Take that for what that is. So now you know. Just a reality check. I'll be kind. They are trying. They are trying to figure out how to run something other than their home kitchen. The chips were made in house but stale. They need to be made daily. Drink selection is lacking. Only 4 options plus some Mexico niche sugar waters. Not a diet option other than water. They use a small cubboard ice maker behind the counter. Place is empty. No one was there. My daughter happened on it by accident. It's hidden. Not sure it's a gem. It's in the back. If you think you're going back to the loading dock, you are not...but it would be a great location for one. So nope, the location is not optimal. English is not well spoken so expect delays or to use your best hand gestures. And for those of you that think that speaking slowly and loudly truly bridges the language barrier...yeah do that. The food was different. We'll see how it progresses through our systems. We've cleared our afternoon schedule. Not my favorite place. Maybe not a repeat. But it was made to order. That is why it took so freaking forever. The people are very very very nice.
