We went to Los Primos because it was featured on DDD. the service was terrible. The food we ordered was terrible with no flavor. Our service was very sad. We had to wave to the waiter to have them and take our order. We drove an hour to be with our grandaughter and should have walked out when we couldn't get any one to help. They just didn't care at all from the dirty windows to sad service and just horrible food. They must have used MSG as I broke out in a horrible rash when I do when I consume it. I hate leaving reviews like this, but our experience here was honestly awful. Our family came in on Tuesday for their pupusa deal, and everything seemed fine at the time. However, later that night both my husband and I got extremely sick. I woke up around 2 AM throwing up and felt absolutely horrible the entire night and into the next day. My husband had similar symptoms. It really felt like food poisoning, and it completely ruined the next day for us. What's frustrating is that we were really looking forward to trying this place, and the deal seemed like a great option for our family. Unfortunately, this experience makes it hard to ever come back. I would strongly recommend the restaurant take a closer look at their food handling and safety practices. Had never had a pupusa before but I really enjoyed it! As a vegetarian, I just had a rice and beans one. But the Cole slaw and sauces that came with them to eat were really good. I also had some shrimp street tacos which were really basic with just the small tortilla and shrimp. Then I added the Cole slaw again and sauces. Super cheap food!! And really good. Stopped in here on a recommendation by good friends of ours who are from Central America. Very friendly wait staff greets you when you walk in. Casual and non assuming. We tried a variety of items on the menu. Papusas (recommended by Guy Fieri on DDD), grande tacos al pastor, sope al pastor and a torta. Papusas were hot and simple, paired with their homemade curtido they were excellent. The curtido brightens up the papusas and offers a freshness and crunch. Tacos al pastor were okay, you will need to ask for all fixings (they don't offer pina or radishes). The sope was loaded, likely my second favorite. My wife loved the torta. Overall an excellent place for Central American food and the prices are quite reasonable. Give it a try to today. Guy Fieri wasn't wrong about this place. read more

I loved this unpretentious restaurant. The decor is interesting and everyone working here is latino. I had a lunch that could have been cooked by a Salvadoran abuela. The pork ribs were so delicious and tender. The salsa also was yummy and tasted homemade. Also I loved the beans and the tortillas. The staff are sweet and genuine. I also loved the latina music. This place was soooo good and their portions were massive. I like to try different places when I travel but I was tempted to eat here twice, but they were closed the second time. Found this place after our 2 other preferred locations were too busy on a Sunday. Busy restaurants on Sunday seem to be the norm in Utah now. My wife did a quick search and found this place with good reviews and we wanted to try some pupusa's. It is located right on the edge of South Logan and providence. It was a pretty busy restaurant when we arrived. The basic concept is you sit down on your own and then a waitress will come take your order and bring out your food. We ordered one pupusa, 5 different street tacos, a Gordita, and plantains. Everything tasted really good except for the chicken Street taco. The chicken was really dry. I liked the red sauce they gave us, it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Honestly I think the best thing we had were the plantains. They had such good flavor, Season perfectly, and were cooked just right. A lot of the Salvadorian plates had a yogurt/mayo mixture that I'm not sure what it was but it tasted really good. Everything was homemade, the gorditas were really good and I liked the pork inside of them. As a sidenote there is a big poster signed by Guy Fieri so I'm assuming this place was featured on diners, drive ins, and dives once. read more

The sauces and curtido are delicious. The pupusas are okay. The chicken sopes were really dry. I was also not particularly pleased with seeing my food on another person's table because they couldn't figure out who ordered it. The curtido was warm and may have been reused from another table. This place had good reviews so we tried it out while in Logan. We had burrito primos with carne asada that were delicious with some sauce that was drizzled over the top that I don't know what it was but it was plate licking worthy. We also got a papusa to try and it was good too. I had the torta with carne asada and I finally had to give the last 1/3 to my son because I was so full but wanted to keep eating it. He said if he could have bread like that every day he would. The prices were so inexpensive. The servers were all really nice and gave us some excellent suggestions. Went here when I was in Logan on a friend's recommendation and glad I did. I'm not a huge Pupusa fan, but the two I had were pretty flavorful. The Pastor Gordita was plenty spicy in a crunchy shell and I split half a torta with my dinner guest and it was rich savory treat. Service is a little discombobulated but they got us seated, took our orders, and brought out our food OK despite a few bewildering hiccups. Interior is a little dirty. The atmosphere was okay--it wasn't bursting at the seams with hustle and bustle, but I expect that's because not many locals know about it, not because it's not good. (El Salvador horchata doesn't have cinnamon) so this place isn't authentic at all. The pupusas didn't have any flavor and the front male employee was rude. 40 dollars down the drain. Never again... Los Primos was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and for good reason!! We drove 2.5 hours to visit this restaurant, and it was entirely worth it. The food was awesome and clearly made with Salvadoreña heart and soul. We had pupusas con queso y frijol (6), beans and rice, and flan. All for less than 30$. They also have snacks/candies. The menu is laid out in a clean fashion with helpful photos for those who have never eaten Salvadorean food. Everything here is great from the papusas to the tacos to the empanadas. The meats are tender and have loads of flavor. The tortillas are soft and you can tell they are freshly made. A small touch, but something that I love, is that the servers bring out various sauces, a homemade coleslaw of sorts, etc. Those things added a lot to the overall flavor of our meal. Tasty Salvadorian Food. My wife and I finally got to try this place when we were in town for the Pumpkin Walk, and it was good! My wife is Salvadorian, so it was a place she had to try! Everything we had was really good! I had 4 or 5 tacos, and the plaintains dish with beans and sour cream (I can't recall the name) All very good... I loved the plátanos! We also got pupusas (of course) and chicharrón. I can't say I had any complaints with any of the food we had, but I was disappointed with the options they didn't have.. NO Milanesa, NO Ensalada Drink, NO Kolashampan... really disappointing and doesn't really live up to this being a true Salvadorian restaurant. The food was good, and great prices. We will be back. I just wish they would add some things to the menu. read more

A friend told me about their Thursday special... two street tacos for a dollar. It's a really good deal! I got four chicken and four carne asada, and wish I would've grabbed another four because they are quite small. They brought out some onions and a red and green sauce to put on them. They were delicious! But like I said, really small, so be aware when ordering. We did have some difficulty with our waitress, who seemed really shy and mixed up our order a little bit, but we were a large group with lots of tacos so it's understandable. The atmosphere is authentic with pleasant staff, brightly colored furnishings, and even have some Mexican sodas and candy. The papusas are wonderful complimented by the Salvadoran salad. Some of the people in our group also choose their favorite Mexican foods. We haven't had anything we didn't love. read more

This is some of the best food I've ever eaten. When I lived in Logan I went there RELIGIOUSLY. The papusas are insanely good- perfectly crispy on the outside and so flavorful. The slaw is ridiculously tasty- crisp and tangy. You have to get a papusa and HEAP the slaw on top. It's perfect. I'm vegan now, so I couldn't probably eat much there, but these are one of the few animal product filled foods I still think about often:) read more
