Cafe Guanico solved my papusa & Salvadorian horchata craving…read more My go-to papusas are the loroco/cheese and zucchini/cheese. Both of the papusas I got were fresh, had a good amount cheese, and the veggies were delicious. They do include the salad and tomato sauce on the side. This is my 2nd favorite kind of Horchata. I've never had chapulines and a family member wanted to try them so I got a side of those as well. Well, the soup alone is a meal and a hearty one. The broth was delicious and included large chunks of carrots, like two whole potatoes, two pieces of chicken (wasn't my fav part but oh well), and delicious rice on the side.... and two tortillas. The papusas were hot and delicious and extremely filling. The cabbage slaw topping and salsas and everything in general was clearly fresh. Whatever you order will definitely satisfy your appetite. And for anyone wondering about what a Tlaytudas is we didn't order the dish but it looked like an El Salvadoran pizza. Def a meal for two.
