I would have been fine with the bowl of soup but I had to add a sandwich (for later). I ordered "The Pilgrim" with no onion no tomato, and it came with a bag of chips. You don't have to rack your brain trying to decide what kind of chips because they only have one kind. I was really bummed cause when I finally sat down to eat the sandwich at dinner the first thing I smelled was ONIONS and then saw the tomatoes. I picked them off hoping the taste of onions didn't penetrate the lettuce. The sandwich was amazing. It was huge. This is a fun stop for a treat or lunch. We'll start with the great. The street it is on is a magical looking area with potted plants, umbrella walk way, outdoor dining, and fun murals at surrounding buildings. Ordering is easy and they offer a free slice of bread. The staff is friendly and answers all questions. We tried the pilgrim sandwich and turkey pesto. The sandwiches had decent flavor but nothing to write home about. The process is very school lunch approach. Bagged mini carrots that were not fresh or a mini bag of Lays potato chips as a side. The bread was good and the order comes with a pickle. You have to pay 5$ for a bag with a handle. They forgot half our to-go order and we had to ask for it after we finished eating our dine-in order. They failed to mention they only serve Pepsi products, so heads up. Great for dessert and basic sandwich. Skip the rest. Friendly Staff. One of our favorite local lunch places on Center Street in Logan. Service is helpful and friendly, but sometimes makes a few errors with large orders, special requests. The young teenage staff are great but maybe just a bit more attention to detail at times. Spaces are clean and inviting but can become crowded at the rush times. Lots of Logan High students roll through on their lunch times. The main food and bread is the absolute star here. Haven't had a bad sandwich yet. Turkey Pesto, Rueben, chicken salad were all great. Sides are lacking, a bag of chips or a handful of carrots. If the sandwich doesn't fill you, split id massive cinnamon roll or try the chocolate chip pumpkin bread with butter and sit outside. I went in today to get some food before work. I went in and the people at the front taking orders were very nice. I ordered my food and sat down. The food came out very quickly. However, the service wasn't very good at all after getting my food... To start, my sandwich(my regular order) was not good at all. It was disgusting, I was so upset. But things got even worse when i overheard the employees being rude and making fun of people inside of the store. They were all laughing about this and I found it very disrespectful. Food is superb, service is even better. I went for lunch when a whole bus of senior citizens pulled up. I thought I was going to have to wait forever. If you love traditional sandwiches made with the finest bread, and you're tired of the same ol white hotdog style hoagie bun, then this is the place for you. Bring a big appetite though, because even their smallest sandwich is man-wich size loaded with meat and toppings...so good! I actually go here quite often, and have enjoyed eating there. The atmosphere is quite nice, set right in downtown. The last two times, however have been disappointing. They always have two different kinds of soup they offer on the board. Last week I went in at 12:20 pm for lunch for some soup. They told me they were out of both flavors of soup. It's barely after noon? Fine...I left and went somewhere else. I went in again today about 1:15 pm. Again they said we are out of both soups. I wanted to ask why they didn't make more when they see that they can't even make it through lunch time without running out. Instead I just left and went somewhere else. I walked in and it took me a minute to understand how to order. I ordered an eight ounce soup and small sandwich which comes with a pickle and chips or carrots for $11. The first sandwich was the chicken salad. Different than others I've had and a lot less mayo. The soup was tomato based and delicious. I was given a brownie as well and it was pretty darn good. Basically, if a restaurant has free samples, carbs, and delightful baked goods--a 5 star rating is the ONLY way to go. I loved how modern and hip this place is, with a large indoor dining area and outdoor seating complete with picnic tables and umbrellas. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well, our waitress got our orders quickly and offered us a bread sample. I opted for the raspberry swirl, and boy was it a stellar choice! I also got the turkey pesto sandwich, complete with BALSAMIC VINEGAR. Wow. Wow. Wow. I didn't know a sandwich could taste so incredible--and I attacked and inhaled that thing so quickly, I think our sever was worried I bit off her finger. I also had to splurge. The bread, brownie, are cookies fresh. In the past we would go there several times a week for coffee and purchase bread or cookies. Not anymore. The service is going down hill real fast. The past few times we were there you could not hear what the staff was saying because the music was too loud. Today I told her the music was too loud. I could not understand her first response due to the loud music, but the second time I was finally about to understand her when she stated "Our manager lets us have it this loud". Since my husband and I were unable to hold a conversation due to the loud music we left and I don't think we will be going back anytime soon. I think it's hilarious that every bad review is about how their music is so loud and they still haven't just turned it down. I live in Seattle, but visit relatives in Logan once or twice a year. Great Harvest is a must-do for me every single time. It is bar none my favorite bakery in the world. You would think living in Seattle I would have an abundance of great bakeries around, but none I have found compare to Great Harvest....the free bread, the great service, and the amazing baked goodies put it in a class by itself. I'm so disappointed in today's lunch here. I get the usual, Turkey Pesto and it hasn't disappoint until today. The sandwich was cold, and not like it was cooling down cold, like it wasn't even toasted cold, the cheese wasn't even melted cold. There was so much Dijon mustard on the sandwich it was so over powering and soaking through the bread, I couldn't finish the sandwich. I threw half of it away. Let me just say those were good sandwiches! Every bite you could taste the freshness and everything that went into that sandwich. Great Harvest is a nice little place in Logan to get a delicious sandwich. My favorite is the Sam's Ham. And half a sandwich is plenty, unless you are REALLY hungry. This sandwich seems to be unique to the Logan location, as I have been to a few others & was sorely disappointed they didn't serve it either places. And, as a bonus, you can have your dessert first! Get a slice of free chocolate chip pumpkin bread (or any other) to munch on while you wait. You'll leave feeling satisfied but not sick to your stomach (unless you got the full sandwich & tried to eat it all in one sitting).
