This is a five star establishment, then why do I give them two stars? Here's why…read more Their food is phenomenal, their bread is the best in town, if not the state. Their croissants are amazing, the best in the country, award winning, their burrito, well, although good, it lacks a little flavor, but still five stars. Then why two stars? Why? One word, service. Nothing is more frustrating than walking into a food establishment and waiting 30 minutes to pick up two croissants. I walk up to the counter, I point at two beautiful butter croissants sitting right there behind glass, and say, "I'll take those two." The person at the register takes my order, but then doesn't just reach over and place the croissants in a small bag and hand them to you, they put your order in the queue behind ten burrito orders, so now you wait 30 or more minutes to pick up your two croissants. To me, this is absolutely ludicrous. In comes the coffee, now I understand why they have some of the worst coffee in the valley--cold, self-serve, rattle can coffee. They're located right next to the best five star coffee shop in the entire country, Ibis Coffee, so you might think, well, I'll go buy a cup of coffee at Ibis, and a couple wonderful fresh butter croissants at La Croissant. Nope, you'll order your two croissants at La Croissant, walk over to Ibis, order your coffee, sit down, drink your coffee, finish your coffee, and surf Facebook, long before your two croissants are ready for pick up. (No, you're not waiting for them to bake, it just feels like it.) ...and that's why two stars. Their own success and lack of efficiency is their downfall, and why I never go back.

Every time we visit Logan we make sure to have cash and make a stop. We sure miss having this place close by. Everyone who has lived in Logan knows about it and loves it. Now, living in Davis county, I've heard it recommended to people visiting of moving to Cache Valley. There is quite the hype around it and I was skeptical of that at first. But it lived up to the hype! The bread is perfectly fresh and soft. The meats are all fantastic. My first love was the Reuben, but then we tried the Rogers Special, and it was amazing too. We've tried many different sandwiches and each seems like the best. The owner is very friendly and fun. He likes to tell stories and listen to customers talk. He always has good recommendations and is very generous. Fun atmosphere and great food!

It's the sort of place you order at the counter, miss matched table and chairs, and a group of people knocking it out of the park in the tiny kitchen. My coworker abd I were kinda looking over the menu and we said to each other "This isn't what we expected but I feel like we need to try it!". So glad we did! Not to be dramatic, I think this is the best burger and fries I've ever had. The smash burger itself is my favorite kind. Very thin with a nice crust. Bun was fresh, soft, and held together for the whole meal. The garlic fries not only smelled like garlic, but they tasted like it! Fresh, garlicky, and crisp fries! The Johnny Utah dip had a little horseradish kick. The next day at work, as soon as we mentioned we had been here for dinner everyone said "Ohhhh sooo good!". Don't pass on this joint!!!

Why does everything they sell have to have aioli or arugula or some weird overbearing sauce. Would have been happier with a d nice burger with at least an option to get lettuce/tomato and onion on it. Our party of 3 tried different burgers and we all had complaints. Sauce WAY too spicy, the crispy onions on my Bob's burger looked like something that can out of a can and not real onion crisps and the other was just plain bland. All burgers were bland. Buns felt like day-old buns from the grocery store and were barely toasted. Clearly made in a rush. Fries were so-so regular fries were a bit over-done and the garlic fries were OK . Biggest complaint is the brice - grossly overpriced for the quality of food. Making burgers with odd-ball ingredients doesn't make it gourmet - just weird. This place needs to step up its game an focus on quality food, not just weird burgers..

The soup was perfect on this cold day. I would have been fine with the bowl of soup but I had to add a sandwich (for later). I ordered "The Pilgrim" with no onion no tomato, and it came with a bag of chips. You don't have to rack your brain trying to decide what kind of chips because they only have one kind. I was really bummed cause when I finally sat down to eat the sandwich at dinner the first thing I smelled was ONIONS and then saw the tomatoes. I picked them off hoping the taste of onions didn't penetrate the lettuce. The sandwich was amazing. It was huge. So big I only managed to get through half and had the other half for lunch the next day. Despite the onion and tomato on my sandwich, I still think they earned that 4 star review.

The workers were all too busy talking and laughing to take our order, so we stood there for 5-10 minutes until we got our order in. I ordered a club sandwich without mayo which is simple, and when they got down and asked if I wanted to have mayo, I again said no. She then proceeded to put mayo all over it even though I tried stopping her as she spread it. She then attempted to wipe it off (which obviously wasn't successful). When I asked for a new one, she just looked at me like I was dumb and said that she had gotten it all off. They did not make me another one! They then didn't have bacon, so we had to wait 15 minutes for the bacon, and then when it was done, it took another 5 or so minutes for them to put it on the sandwiches and serve them to us. We ordered a Cobb salad and a Patty Melt and pickle fries. The pickle fries were the most lackluster. Nothing obviously bad that I can point out, they just weren't very good. My salad was very standard. Again, nothing wrong, just nothing I couldn't make at home out of a bag. My friend did really enjoy her patty melt and curly fries. Maybe I'm missing something-likely the nostalgia that others have from years of visiting-but it didn't wow me. Like, at all. First of all, everything feels dingy and dirty. Kind of like your grandma's kitchen that's been around For.Ev.Er. and has a film of dirt and caked on dust upon every surface. That's what it felt like here. It was nice that you can order a custom sandwich by filling out a paper order form and handing it to the cashier. It felt kind of old fashioned and slower pace, which can be fun. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a cup of soup. The sandwich was ok-the turkey was fresh and carefully sliced. But the soup was lackluster. It was reminiscent of something Campbell's might make, or just a mass produced frozen concoction you get at Costco. Either way it was very mid. Would I return? Sure, if someone else really wants to go there. But if I have a say, I'll probably move on to something else.
