Went in to try this unique dessert. Coming to Logan over the years has shown me so many different types of treats. This place takes a treat native to the Czech Republic and takes it to a new level. There were so many add ons and great tastes. Their ice cream flavor of the month cinnamon roll and I could have not expected anything better. Their usually flavors are vanilla and chocolate soft serve with a rotating monthly flavor. Not sure how to describe the cone except divine. In my opinion it was close to a donut and or flaky croissant consistency. Regardless you should run and get you some. Out the door each cone was under $7. I loved that I did not feel nickel and dimed with the add ons. The only knock is it was not busy or more crowded. Very interesting concept for ice cream. I was excited to try this place as I seen it was on Shark Tank once. I got a regular vanilla ice cream with the traditional crispy cone & almond toppings on top. Kept it real simple since it looked a little too much to start with. They fill the ice cream a lot! I wish they would've had an option to make it sized differently since I thought this was too much for me & I couldn't really get to the cone part entirely. For some this might not be a problem. Overall, very interesting & cool place to try if you've never have before. The store itself was spacious and clean. The two employees working were very sweet and seemed to like their job. It's a twist on ice cream cones. Decent concept for soft serve, but at the end of the day it's just soft serve with a gimmicky cone. I've been here 3 times and all 3 times the cones were so hot it melted the ice cream do you are left with a soggy soupy mess. It's fine but seems a little overpriced for melty soft serve. read more

Totally crave worthy! This place is honestly the most unique ice cream place I've ever been too. Their chocolate ice cream has a rich Dutch flavor yet it's still light and very creamy. I didn't opt for a spread inside my cone but I did choose strawberries and cookie dough as my toppings and got a side of raspberry syrup to try. The cones come piled high with ice cream and the toppings. They sit inside a charming little paper cup for mess free holding since the cone is rolled in cinnamon sugar and has a small hole in the bottom. I was pleasantly surprised that the ice cream AND topping went all the way down into the very bottom of the cone! Each bite was incredible. My husband doesn't like cones (he always gets his in a cup) but ended his last bite saying, "that's a good cone!" That's saying something, trust me. The cone itself wasn't actually crispy (unless you count the crisp of the cinnamon sugar?) but a pleasantly baked cinnamon sugar rolled cone of amazingness. Honestly, I don't know how else to describe it! It was soft pillowy dough but dense enough to be a good thick bite. Not yeasty at all and not tough. Great concept with the cone. But poorly executed when there's so much potential for this idea. Nearly $8 for Soft Serve ice cream and a sprinkling of toppings is not worth it even if it's stuffed inside of a soft cinnamon role like cone (it missed the mark of Crispy by a long shot...crispy implies to me that it would be more churro like. It wasn't bad by any means but again it missed the mark of being a crispy cone. All in all, this wasn't a complete disappointment but we probably won't be back. Here is what would bring me back, having the cone be more crispy and churro like (again the flavor is there but I want something warm and crispy to go with my ice cream), more unique cones, the Oreo crust cone looks amazing give us that and other options, toss the soft serve into the McDonalds parking lot...bring in unique homemade ice cream flavors, even a simple vanilla or chocolate and then the toppings mixed in would take this concept over the top! Disappointing. Basically it's $7 for a Rhodes roll topped with one of three flavors of soft serve ice cream. My 11 and 5 yr old got to the roll part, took one bite and wouldn't eat anymore. Rolls and ice cream just aren't a combination that we liked. read more

At Crispy Cones, there is always 2 flavors of cones (traditional sugar or oreo), 3 options of ice cream (vanilla, weekly flavor, & twist), a filling, a topping, and a drizzle of sauce. At first glance my mind was a little . But here's how it works: You pick one of each. I chose their weekly ice cream flavor: MINT, with Nutella filling (around the cone), oreos, and nutella drizzle. My kids choices were the kid cone and it came with one topping and one sauce. The vanilla with fresh strawberries and nutella drizzle, or vanilla with biscoff cookies and cookie butter drizzle were also winners. My other child got mint with almond joys and caramel. Note: I actually asked for chocolate filling and drizzle, which they acknowledged they had, but in actuality it was Nutella. Just make sure you're clear on what you want. The kid cone is out probably the best deal: $3.79 for the same amount of ice cream as a cone just without the cone. Still comes with one topping and one sauce. $7 for a little cone with little ice cream and no other size options is a little bit of a bummer. I also would prefer it if it had semi-sweet chocolate (NOT Nutella) as a sauce/filling option. This is their second location outside of Rexburg, Idaho. I tried this place out for their Provo grand opening, but there's not a Yelp page yet. Honestly, the main draw seems to be the cones. They only have three ice cream flavors at a time--vanilla, chocolate, and a specialty--and the toppings are pretty generic (think Oreo, nuts, and cheap candy bars). The ice cream was moderately good, but not really better than Macey's soft serve, which is a fraction of the price. The chimney cone itself was very tasty, but very small for the price. They appear to have the original flavor plus a monthly cone flavor, but the employee advised me that most people don't love July's cone flavor. With lower prices, greater variety of interesting ice cream flavors, or more unusual toppings, I might go back, but not otherwise. I wouldn't have tried it for that price if not for the grand opening freebie. Reviewers on other locations seem to have the same feedback regarding the steep price, and the owner replies to each Google comment citing premium ice cream ingredients, as if people were drawn by their middle of the road ice cream instead of the unusual cones. I understand that ingredients cost money, but so do many other factors: location, equipment, employee wages, overall profit margin, etc. If so many people are saying "it's good but pricey enough I won't be back," maybe something needs to give. We won't be back. I had looked forward to going for a while and finally went when I was in Logan. My cousin and our families were all not impressed. The crispy cone is more like a roll filled with thick heavy peanut butter or nutella or whatever you choose. The ice cream was nothing noteworthy. With the ice cream on top, you eat it first. Once you get to the cone that requires some serious milk power to get through but you are out of ice cream. This combo just doesn't work nor is it crave worthy and on top of that highly overpriced. Full marks on taste, very low marks on execution. This novel take on the ice cream cone seems idealistic; the pastry cone was good. The ice cream was good. However, the only thing I'm going to remember is how messy it was. My outer cup was covered in nutella. The Reese's toppings sitting on the ice cream mostly ended up on the table because they just were sticking to the ice cream which was strange because of how fast it was melting. Once you eat the ice cream on top you're left with the pastry cone, and after you start eating that, you quickly find out there's no way to really hold it to actually eat it. Other than grabbing a pastry in the middle of a bunch of melted ice cream that is. So by the time I left, I had washed my hands twice. No wonder there was chocolate all over the bathroom door and its handle. The tables weren't very clean either. The two girls working seemed like they didn't want to be there. The menu was confusing to order off of. I told the one gal I'd never been and didn't know how it worked and she just kept pointing to the menu. Not super helpful. It took us all of 5 minutes to make a big mess on the table and eat our ice cream. Novel idea, really tasty, but I don't enjoy getting that messy when I eat. I can't imagine bringing a young child there. It's way too expensive for what you get. We will more than likely not be back. Absolutely delicious! The cone was my favorite part, it was soft and tasted like a good pastry. I got the cinnamon one and really liked it. I looked it up and it is based on an eastern european treat called Trdelník. The ice cream was yummy and the cookie butter was a great addition. The price point was my only problem, if you're ok paying around $7 for a unique dessert I would recommend giving it a try, but if you're buying ice cream for a family it would add up. (Maybe they could offer some kind of family deal?) I did hear they had a kids serving for cheaper though. My friend and I agreed that we would like if they had a bowl-shaped pastry, the only problem with the cone was we were so excited to eat it but we had to eat the top half of the cone before we could try the cone. We thought a bowl-shaped pastry would allow you to try it right away. I will probably be back, but because of the price it will probably be a more rare treat. read more
