Cute side room

Love this place nice casual late breakfast. Quiet booth by the window with a very attentive "Laken " as our server. We could order off the senior menu which was perfectly sized. A nice touch was a carafe of coffee & creamer on our table so refills were easy. Food was delicious hot & yummy. We must come back for their famous pies

Scone with honey butter.

I came to town to visit my family and on my last day it occurred to me that I had not yet had a scone. I headed right out to the Rusty spoon and they did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, Lots of families enjoying their lunch together. Fabulous waitresses. Very efficient and very, very friendly.

I had the French dip with a side of fresh peaches for $13.29. Most French dip's Aussie jus is too salty but this was a real aus jus, beefy and flavorful. The bread wasn't too hard either. The peaches were suggested because they are in season and it shows. These are real peaches, full of flavor and not mushy. The server was attentive and friendly. I would come here again.

We kept driving by this place meaning to try it and we finally made it there. The parking is j. The back and there's enough of it. The entrance is on the right, the exit in the left when you are looking at the place from the street. Service was friendly and good. Our server had a great attitude the entire time. The good menu had good variety. We were super happy with our plates. Server was on top of getting drink refills. The place is very cutesy kitch country. There was a bit of a noise level but not too bad.

Arrived Saturday afternoon around 130pm and still had a 30 min wait. There were empty tables but im assuming they were short staffed as many restaurants seem to be. Once seated service was great and food came out fast. Large portions, food was delicious, and prices were very budget friendly. Great place to stop for a meal!

If you're ever driving through Brigham City, J & D's Family Restaurant is the kind of local diner…read morethat makes you hit the brakes and smile the second you walk in. It's got that old-school charm -- bright, clean, and cozy -- with friendly staff who treat you like a regular even on your first visit. The service is quick, the coffee's always hot, and everything tastes homemade in the best possible way. The breakfast here is unreal. From fluffy omelets to golden hash browns, every bite tastes like comfort. But the real showstopper? The hot fudge cake. Warm, rich chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream and a river of hot fudge -- it's ridiculously good. Easily one of the best desserts I've had in Utah, and I'm not exaggerating. What really makes J & D's stand out is how genuine it feels. No fancy gimmicks, no overhyped "foodie" nonsense -- just honest, delicious food served with heart. Whether you're a local, a traveler, or just someone who loves discovering hidden gems, this place deserves your attention. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. Five stars, no question. https://linktr.ee/reessroots

She was friendly and kind and was especially great with the regulars sitting behind us that were being a bit much. My coworker and I ordered the Clubhouse and the Roast Beef Combo. Service was quick and meals were alright. Nothing wrong with them or much to write home about. I think what we loved most was the building itself, chock full of Christmas charm and character. As we left, every booth was full and smiles all around. I wish we had this kind of atmosphere down in my neck of the woods.

This was absolutely the worst business I have ever been to. We went for my Mother's 80th birthday…read moreas a group of 14, on a Friday night. The night started off poorly when myself and others tried ordering a baked potato as a side and were informed that was not available because it had not been prepared that night by the staff. My sister tried ordering 3 different menu options, all were "not available". I ordered a rib eye steak medium. Twenty minutes after everyone else had their food, my steak finally came, medium well. I notified the waitress and she said she'd let them know. Out walks a man, who then proceeds to tell me my steak is cooked exactly as I ordered it and he'll show me a picture of how a steak cooked medium should look. My family member sitting next to me also ordered her steak medium, hers was actually pink, mine was not. He then started to pull his phone out to prove to me, I was wrong. My brother told him to put his phone away, my steak was overcooked, period! He left, but was not done with me yet! As we were all gathering to take a family picture he returned and pulled me aside to again show me a picture of what my steak should look like. Yet even his picture showed pink, of my steak had any pink, it was the tiniest bit of pink you've ever seen. In all this commotion I also found out that my sister did not have any cheese on her Malibu chicken. Yet this cook proceeded to tell me that they take great pride in their food and he was showing me that my steak was cooked to the standard it should have been. My brother in law told this man to leave me alone and drop it. My sister told him she tried ordering 3 different things and they didn't have them. His reply was there will always be shortages. My sister then told him it was done and over, leave us alone. I'm a very understanding person. I don't like to complain if my food isn't up to par. But this was bad even for me. The waitress we had was so nice! Yet this man ruined everything about this experience for everyone! When you're paying a lot of money for food it should be prepared in a way that you're like. Really it should just be prepared like it states on the menu. To order a simple Malibu chicken and not have a slice of cheese is ridiculous! To see that this place has this high of a rating is appalling! Clearly it's because there's not a lot of places to eat in Brigham City! Because of this place was in a bigger city, it would be black listed instantly! Especially with a cook who comes out and argues with customers who aren't satisfied with his cooking. Do better!!

The service is wayyyy better and so is most foods. Some are still not as good as they used to be, like the French onion soup and apparently most soups, but the rest we tried were very good. Good for them and us. Now we have another place to dine out again here in Brigham.
