I came in a week prior to my review, the experience was unlike any I've had in Utah so i wanted too come a second time and have a different server to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Let me start with the servers the first time in i was greeted promptly with a smile by Laken, my server. The atmosphere was cozy with defined areas. Everything was clean and and cared for right down to the bathrooms. i could tell ownership has a quirky sense of humor based on the merchandise they sell. As i waited for the meal i watched the two servers working diligently with a smile, they didn't miss a beat with being attentive to their patrons and all of the other aspects of their job. Honestly i watched too see if they could keep the same place throughout my time there they worked like a fine oiled machine. Without having to say a word to each other they knew what to do to help each other. I can't imagine this being an easy task.. The second time coming in, i really wanted to see if the excellence was a fluke, but to my delight it was the same great experience as the first time. Serenity, My server worked with the same diligence as the first time i watched her working and again without missing a beat of the friendly service as i had with Laken, the first time in. Now here's the kicker the service was so good, i asked to speak with a manager or owner, I was told there wasn't a manager or owner present. They were self monitoring, that blew me away, these young ladies working like they were on their own, it screams volumes for their work ethics and management. Now for the food, presentation was just like the menu pics. I apologize i failed to take pics as it was served so it is pics from the menu. The was good, the breakfast i had was cooked, in my opinion, perfectly. There breakfast sausage was different than any other I've had. I've been to a lot of places. I highly recommend this place even the locals were really friendly with conversation they made me laugh, one of the locals went out to his truck and brought this spoon guy to me. I live over an hour away but i will say well worth the drive mainly for the experience. Now if i have to say anything that i would like to see different it would be the fly traps. They aren't intrusive but i would maybe use an alternative. But I'm not a fly expert and it's not a deal breaker. *Came back and needed to update this review. We are officially fans of the Rusted Spoon! I LOVE the Huevos Rancheros, we've also tried the poutine curds and LOVED them too. The iced tea is still really great! The coffee is good and the food is great too! The ambience in this place is very cute and themed. The shirts are still epic levels of cute and clever. We've come to the Rusted Spoon probably a dozen times in the last few months and it has become a favorite place for breakfast & brunch. read more

I had the French dip with a side of fresh peaches for $13.29. Most French dip's Aussie jus is too salty but this was a real aus jus, beefy and flavorful. The bread wasn't too hard either. Arrived Saturday afternoon around 130pm and still had a 30 min wait. There were empty tables but im assuming they were short staffed as many restaurants seem to be. The first few times we've been here it was absolutely amazing but after this last time, we will never return again. My server was top notch and this place has killer ambiance, but the food was so bad that I can't bring myself to ever return to this place again, I imagine they got a new cook. FYI, there's no sense in tipping cash because the register will force tip even after you select no tip. I feel you should always tip and tip well so I'm not too bothered by it but I was a little inconvenient to force a second tip out of me after already tipping. Coin toss, if you're in this area this is still your best option unless you want to drive a little. Today my hubby & I visited for the first time. I saw a review saying the fish & chips were just ok, but my hubby loved the combination. I tasted it and agree. I had the crispy french toast with warm syrup, a large slice of ham and one egg. Very tasty! Both were Senior meals but lots more food than a senior could eat. Good prices! Usually love the Rusted Spoon but the last 2 times I've been there now the wait time was ridiculous. This last time we waited almost 15 minutes before we were even greeted. I ordered coffee and the kids got orange juice, we ordered our food at the same time. We finished our drinks, my two coffees since she left the pitcher there, ( I waited 10 minutes for creamer) and the kids were losing there minds so much that my wife had to bring them to the car and I still waited another 12 minutes before she came out with my food. We were there a total of an hour and didn't eat there, I had to take it to go. The food is usually good but my wife's breakfast burrito had almost no meat, it was almost all potato. I've been coming here for a while now, but haven't lately. Today I got the two egg skillet with the scone and extra crispy hash browns, which is one of my favorite dishes they make. I'm not sure if it was just a fluke, unfortunately, it was not what it used to be. The portion was exactly half the size, the sausage they used to use and I loved was changed, and not for the best, and barely any of it, the bacon and tomatoes. The "extra crispy" hash-browns were somehow crispy and then soggy. The scone was perfect, as always. The problem is also that they raised the price up $2.00, which I understand. Everything has gone up. But then to half the portion, that's just not worth it anymore. Had a lovely time here! The staff was excellent and our waitress was so nice and accommodating! They have an all day breakfast menu and a nice variety of dinner and lunch options as well. I got a raspberry lemonade and the chicken bacon avocado sandwich with onion rings, so good! The onion rings were perfectly crispy and crunchy, served with fry sauce as well! Our waitress even got to go drinks for us which was so nice! There is a surprising number of tables available, it's much larger inside than it appears outside. Definitely a nice little sandwich place. We stopped here while traveling through the area and it hit that hunger spot of being in the car for 9 hours. My date ordered the cheese burger with fries. And I had the BLT with avocado. My sandwich was tasty but a bit on the slim side. This could easily have been fixed by the chef adding more lettuce. We loved the french fries. We found this little gem on our way to Idaho. Our server was Sage and she was awesome we couldn't decide which country fried steak to get so we got both the breakfast version and the dinner version. I was on a work trip coming home from Logan Utah and was telling my out of state coworker how friendly the people were in this area of Utah, we ended up stopping at rusted spoon and my point was proven. We were greeted and waited by the most customer service oriented and friendly staff I have ever had. As far as service and atmosphere goes 10/10 across the board. The food was pretty good too I had a mushroom Swiss burger which can be hit or miss and here was an absolute hit. I will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

We traveled from Orem to try a different restaurant, but it was swamped - dine in and drive in both. We had passed the Rusted Spoon on the way up, so we drove back to give it a try. It's a cozy place, with cheesy signs suggesting a bit of attitude. The service was friendly, and they had all the usual COVID precautions in place. Takeout and dine-in were both available. The queso and chips appetizer was tasty. My wife had the pork chops; they brought two good sized slices. I had the halibut steak which was a bit dry but very flavorful. The carrots were sweet and creamy, among the best I've had. The rice had good flavor. We had a scone with honey butter for dessert - simple, and satisfying. Not too big. If we find ourselves in Perry again we'll happily eat there again. read more
