I would not return to this place for coffee. I got a matcha and it was so watery. The taste is barely there. Truly one of the worst matchas I have ever gotten. I got a doughnut too and the doughnut was actually pretty good but not worth going back for. The place is in a cute area and seemed like a nice spot to study so that's a positive. Lastly the girl at the register was really rude to my entire party. She was acting like we were inconveniencing her and she didn't offer any help with any items on the menu. I got the hibiscus peach tea and it was good, nothing special. the place is very cute, love the outdoor patio! I also tried the matcha lavender and peanut butter balls, the peanut butter one is a fan favorite and yes, it was definitely better than the matcha lavender one. The matcha lavender ball had lots of lavender flavor so if you like lavender you would probably like it!! The downside to this review was the service, my coworkers and I had an event at the Monarch and wanted a quick drink before we started, and Lotus Cafe was a short 5 minute walk. We came in 15 minutes before closing and the girl who took our order was ready to leave and made it very apparent. Her friends came in and she explicitly shared how she was ready to leave and rushed to take our order, was passive aggressive and rude. My coworker got the matcha and it was watered down. The drinks were not good enough for the service to be rude. Adjusted my rating because the owner reached out and apologized, I appreciate that a lot and she seems very genuine and upset about the situation. read more

Gracious and heartfelt service. Staff helped me find gluten-free vegan options. I ended up with the brussels sprouts salad (plus avocado) and a banana-chocolate chip muffin. Went back an hour later for the Teal Heal smoothie. Everything was delicious. Bright, open, airy atmosphere with indoor / outdoor seating and clean restrooms. I was able to enjoy my time there without feeling rushed. Wish there were places like this everywhere on my cross-country route (over 1,500 miles so far). I had the Shawarma cauliflower bowl. Flavors were on point the cauliflower was a little bit soggy, I tried it as soon as I got in my truck so it was from being in the box for a long time. I was in the Lotus Cafe a week or so ago and let me just say... first, my oat milk latte was fabulous, and the Buddha Bowl had me instantly trying to recreate it at home, but secondly and most importantly- the SERVICE!!! There was a girl there with red hair named Avery and she was so so kind. I was having a really hard day and the soft and sweet way she spoke to me instantly had me feeling calm and safe in the cafe. She was super funny and made me feel really special and even remembered my name when I went in a few days after!!! Having someone you don't even know instantly cheer you up and seem sincerely interested in you is such a valuable thing at a store or restaurant. I am sure glad she was the one that helped me! The other girl there (I think her name is Ryan) had long blonde hair and was also really delightful. I didn't talk to her as much but they were super fast and both really inviting. Even if the food wasn't good (which it was- I recommend either the Buddha Bowl or the Brussels Spout dish, along with a latte and a PB ball) I would still go back there because the vibe was super great. My only complaint is that it smelled a little strange in there and the scent seemed to linger on my clothes for awhile. read more

Her and an employee prepared and delivered our freshly made food and drinks. First off, incredible hospitality. Second, the food was to die for!!! The Brussels were amazing, though I wish I had 10 more helpings. It looked small at first but filled me up between the nutritious portion paired with my raw juice. This is the lotus cafe. I've been interested in going here for a while and I was impressed by the cortado the girls made for me. Both girls were very nice and helpful too. The outside patio is very relaxing and it's just on a neighborhood street next to a house. Very quiet and peaceful. The inside has a homey feel and it's very comfortable and calm with all the plants they have inside. They even sell jewelry mugs stickers and other random stuff which is very interesting. I can't believe what a great little place this was. I happened to stumble upon this place looking for healthy food options and this placed popped up on my radar. Knowing that every Yoga Studio in Cali has been closed most of this year I was not even confident that this place would be open but when I showed up I was stoked when I saw they were open. When I walked in I felt like I was transported back in time--very laid back atmosphere some years back. 3 women were cooking in back and only a handful of patrons were hanging out at the tables provided. It felt very welcoming from the start so I knew I found my kind of place. Menu is vegan oriented but they do have a few meat options. It's all healthy based and simple ingredients incorporated into all of the dishes. No fake meats to speak of here just wholesome ingredients., they make everything from scratch and some things can change like their specials or soups. I came here twice and loved everything I had. First time I tried the cauliflower curry dish that comes with chickpeas and wild greens. Had this with a chai tea they served in house. This was super fresh and delicious. They also have an extensive dessert case that has some wonderful vegan donuts, cheese cake, and different balls of coconut, peanut butter or turmeric chai. I tied the peanut butter cup and the coconut & turmeric ball and all were delicious. The coconut one falls apart so may need eat some crumbs. They all are made with no sugar and just dates for sweeteners. Came back a second time and tried out there falafel salad. Again super fresh with sides of hummus olives and quinoa tabouli. The falafels were super healthy and not deep fried like at most middle Eastern places. This is a lighter dish as it's mostly salad based so it's a lighter dish option. This time I was there I smelled an amazing smell of carrot cake as their donuts by that name had just come out of the oven. Had to grab one to go it smelled so good. Service here is awesome and the staff are super friendly. They are great to answer your questions and give suggestions. I was curious on their yoga classes as I've been out of commission since CA's draconian measures and they basically had ongoing in person classes everyday. I was able to attend a class after skiing for a reasonable price and it was fantastic. I took a power class and it was a lot of fun. Realized how much I've missed taking classes since I completed a 60 day challenge in January this year. Also nice to commune with likeminded individuals so I felt blessed to have run across this place. Finally they have a cool little store of things for sale. They are metaphysically based things like stones incense cool blankets and shirts. I actually found a bandana I used for skiing that worked great as a face covering over the stupid plastic toxic Chinese masks that are given out for free. Outstanding little organic natural cafe. I used to travel to Ogden quite frequently on business. I'd always stay at the Marriott which was very close to the Lotus cafe. They subsequently moved right up the road and I would still go visit. I really liked Gunner he was a great guy and all the ladies there were absolutely outstanding as well. It's always a 50/50 shot on if our food is going to be correct or not haha. Definitely check before you leave if you are getting takeout, half the time I don't see gloves being worn when food is being prepped and put together. If you are getting a refrigerated dessert, have them put in a separate bag from warm foods as they didn't with ours and it melted so bad we couldn't even eat it which was expensive money wasted haha. My husband & I decided to try the Lotus Cafe for its vegan options. I have been recently cooking and eating vegan so I thought it would be nice to eat out for a change. We called in our order to go. Service was friendly and prompt. My husband got the Brussel sprout bowl with quinoa bowl. The portion was quite small for the price, but he said it was tasty and mostly filled him up. I got the tofu bowl. The Tofu didn't have any flavor (besides Tofu), so it wasn't very pleasant. We also got a cup of Cauliflower soup. Neither of us enjoyed it and it needed salt drastically. I'm giving three stars on taste and portion size. I hope they take this as constructive criticism as we need more vegan restaurant choices. read more

Came in for an after dinner sweet treat. The beautiful humans at the counter answered all of my questions and suggested and made me a delicious hot berry tea latte. I am recently (1 year) Gluten free and have not had much in way of dessert in that year and was so happy that I found a spot when my sweet tooth calls. We found this wonderful little cafe on Yelp while in Ogden for a funeral. Street parking appears to be your only option but was not an issue.
