Great store for the baking enthusiast, they have most any kind of flour or baking supplies you need and in small or large quantities. They will sell you as much or little as you like and have even the most hard to find items you might require for baking. Tons of tools and accessories for the kitchen as well. They have all of the different pans, molds, etc. They have a kitchen set up to teach classes (we have not attended one yet) but look forward to doing so. read more

Kitchen Kneads - What I walked away with - Specialty Food Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Pretty sure this is the only store of it's kind in Ogden, and while appearing a little run down and dated, it was packed full of all sorts of fun baking and cooking goodies! There are only four or five parking spaces available as the others are reserved for neighbor businesses, but if you must, you can easily find a spot along the street. On my visit, they were hosting a class, and according to their schedule, they offer a variety, ranging from growing sprouts, cheese making, jerky, and caramel, to a variety of cake decor and others related to baking. They are reasonably priced at $10-$15, and similar classes in the SLC area are usually $50+! Of course, they sell any supplies you might need for those classes, including animal and vegetable rennet, cheese and probiotic cultures, sourdough starter, so much cocoa and chocolate in every form (I was pleased to see Callebaut, Guittard, and Peter's), sprinkles and all sorts of cake decorating supplies, pans and molds, every variety of flour or grain you could imagine, nuts, spices, and pantry staples like beans. They also had smaller kitchen appliances, a large area of bulk supplies, Doterra essential oils, and vitamins and supplements. It is really an interesting mix of goods, and considering the not-gigantic size of the store, all that it contained was impressive! They offer fresh bread, with a different variety baked daily (see my photo for the current schedule), and I was excited to find a small chocolate and candy case! Along with my kitchen supply purchases, I selected the following treats: Chocolate covered graham cracker and jelly was wonderful! The jelly was thick, and sort of pate de fruit-ish, while the cracker gave it nice crunch. Snowball was loads of coconut over a double (or triple?) chocolate layer + caramel and, I think, marshmallow. Very reminiscent of a Samoa. Nougat was delish and very chewy. Milk chocolate covered potato chip was salty perfection, but they should dip the whole chip, as the part that was not covered was stale. Honestly, I was surprised to find these simple chocolates were quite well made and of decent quality. I just wish they had more dark chocolate options! I interacted with three or four employees and they were all quick to offer assistance, and just so friendly and kind. Prices are very reasonable, and it is so great Ogden has such a well-stocked kitchen supply store. read more

I live 55.7 miles away and will drive here to get a bag of 9-grain rolled cereal if I run out, or just stop for bread flours if I'm in Ogden. KK offers a great selection of flours and supplies for the home baker, small appliances and tools for a total kitchen, a friendly and helpful staff, as well as how-to classes. I highly recommend this local Ogden business (and wish they would return to SLCo, soon!). read more

I took a class on making chocolate eclairs and cream puffs. The class was awful. Everyone's eclairs/puffs were very soggy and too thin to try to cut to put pudding in. I looked up how to make eclairs on the internet and we were not taught how, we were taught how NOT to make them. The pudding never set, it was like soup. They measured the ingredients and we cooked right along with everyone else. The teacher said it would set in time. I waited three days. I have emailed and asked for a refund or a credit. I love the store, just the class was not good. I don't recommend taking a class. My partner was going to ask for a refund too. I don't know how that went. read more

there is no place to compare with Kitchen Kneads any where. the selection of products is incomparable and the staff is wonderful. iI have gotten to know a great many of them. On one occasion they knowing I could not afford something I really needed gave it to me without charge. I have recommended them to friends and family and their reports are fantastic. I have several that live a great distance away and can rarely visit me. They always stop at Kitchen Kneads when they come to see me. I do not live so far away so I visit there often and enjoy every visit and the products I purchase. They have become like family to me! read more

This is my go-to hard-to-find baking and cooking store. Yes, they also have every cooking and baking gadget that you will ever need but the hard to find ingredients are what I love about this store. And almost every ingredient can be bought in bulk or they package them down to small, medium, or large sizes for you needs. So instead of buying some Bob's Mill (fancy flour or ingredient name here) at your local grocery store for buko bucks, you can find that same rare ingredient here a lot cheaper because it came from bulk. I'm also a cupcake enthusiast, and they have an awesome sprinkles selection! read more

If you love baking or you want to learn to bake, this is your place! They have everything you could ever want or need to bake anything! They also have classes here. I have taken a couple. One with Chef Brad the Grain Guy and the latest one given by the owner/family of the shop. Both really good and worth the time and money. Thanks to my latest class I am going to attempt to make homemade rolls for Thanksgiving! They are very friendly and helpful and can help you find anything you need and make suggestions if you don't know what you need. Highly recommend this store! read more

While they have a good selection of things the staff doesn't seem to be very compassionate. I was questioned as to why I needed certain things, and my friend was made to feel uncomfortable due to the attitude of "one upping" from one of the female employees. A public space isn't the medium in which to try and compete with a customer on a level you feel you need to. Instead of trying to prove who has more talent or more octaves, or even more knowledge you should strive to be more open and professional. Also insulting someone for the spiritual practice they persue is unacceptable. Unfortunately my friend and I were made to feel uncomfortable and pressured to prove our selves, and knowledge of the products we were buying. I'd rather wait for my products to ship than deal with the pretentious attitudes of this business again. read more

Ty helped me at Kitchen Kneads and his customer service was superior. I went in looking for giant corn nuts and he said he didn't have any because the company they got them from the owner passed away and they lost the connection with the source. He took my phone number and said he would do his best to look into getting the supplier information. The very next day he called me and said he had good news for me. He received a 40 lb box of the giant corn nuts. I went into Kitchen Kneads immediately and Ty greeted me a great big smile. He is truly an asset to your company. Great Place to find Fresh Roasted Nuts. I use this place for my gift giving every year! Never fail, the freshest nuts ever!

I placed an order online for one item and selected local pickup as the delivery option since my roommate works in Ogden and said she could stop by after work and pick it up. After I got several emails confirming my order and my card had been charged, I told her I thought that meant it would probably ready the following day. There was no information on the email about when or where to pick it up, who I could call to check the status, etc., which would have been helpful. When my roommate showed up, they didn't seem to know anything about it, but then found an order form laying around that someone there had printed but didn't bother to actually do anything about before going home for the day. They told her to just come back the following week on Monday. She ended up not being able to go until Tuesday since they close early on Mondays, which was probably for the best anyway because I got another email saying it was processed on Tuesday, so maybe that means it wasn't ready on Monday anyway- it wasn't really clear. Overall- I had a weird experience ordering online and my roommate had a weird experience in store both of the times she went. I probably won't be ordering anything from them in the future. It's too bad because I'd much rather spend money supporting a local business, but I could have gotten what I ordered a lot quicker and with a lot less hassle from Amazon or gone to Bed Bath and Beyond. read more

Went in on a saturday and I loved the store found just what I needed, but trying to pay for the item was just a joke the first person tried to short pay me by $5.00 and then I double checked what I was charged on the way to the car and found that the product I bought was marked $5.00 less than I was charged went back in to get the refund for the over charge the person at the register couldn't figure out the right amount and again I was shorted $5.00, just think management needs to know about the problem I didn't cause a fuss but would want to know about the problem if it were my store. I will go back into the store I really loved it but will make sure of my monies before I leave the store. JC read more
