Pretty sure this is the only store of it's kind in Ogden, and while appearing a little run down and dated, it was packed full of all sorts of fun baking and cooking goodies! There are only four or five parking spaces available as the others are reserved for neighbor businesses, but if you must, you can easily find a spot along the street. On my visit, they were hosting a class, and according to their schedule, they offer a variety, ranging from growing sprouts, cheese making, jerky, and caramel, to a variety of cake decor and others related to baking. They are reasonably priced at $10-$15, and similar classes in the SLC area are usually $50+! Of course, they sell any supplies you might need for those classes, including animal and vegetable rennet, cheese and probiotic cultures, sourdough starter, so much cocoa and chocolate in every form (I was pleased to see Callebaut, Guittard, and Peter's), sprinkles and all sorts of cake decorating supplies, pans and molds, every variety of flour or grain you could imagine, nuts, spices, and pantry staples like beans. They also had smaller kitchen appliances, a large area of bulk supplies, Doterra essential oils, and vitamins and supplements. It is really an interesting mix of goods, and considering the not-gigantic size of the store, all that it contained was impressive! They offer fresh bread, with a different variety baked daily (see my photo for the current schedule), and I was excited to find a small chocolate and candy case! Along with my kitchen supply purchases, I selected the following treats: Chocolate covered graham cracker and jelly was wonderful! The jelly was thick, and sort of pate de fruit-ish, while the cracker gave it nice crunch. Snowball was loads of coconut over a double (or triple?) chocolate layer + caramel and, I think, marshmallow. Very reminiscent of a Samoa. Nougat was delish and very chewy. Milk chocolate covered potato chip was salty perfection, but they should dip the whole chip, as the part that was not covered was stale. Honestly, I was surprised to find these simple chocolates were quite well made and of decent quality. I just wish they had more dark chocolate options! I interacted with three or four employees and they were all quick to offer assistance, and just so friendly and kind. Prices are very reasonable, and it is so great Ogden has such a well-stocked kitchen supply store.

Everything is WAY too expensive at this place. You his force people to buy from Amazon with these prices.

Oh man I hate to leave them a 1 star because I really like the variety & selection they have at the…read moreprices they have but regarding business to customer relations, very very poor. 1St off I want to say that I ordered a washing machine with Spencer & everything was great. He was professional, helpful, & knowledgeable. Why am I giving them a one star you might ask? Because of my second experience just a couple weeks later. I went in to purchase a mounted microwave. Pam was my sales associate & just like Spencer, was professional, helpful & knowledgeable. I choose the microwave I wanted, payed for it, & then was told they didn't have it in stock until after I purchased it. They then told me **I would have to go to a different facility** to go pick it up a week later. (The day I purchased this was a Saturday & they told me I'd get it Thursday) Strike one. But I was willing to try to be the better person & left their store saying thank you. Later that evening I called the store & told them I wanted to pay the additional 100$ to have it delivered & installed. They told me not a problem & they would call me on the scheduled day ( a week from then) to let me know what time they'd arrive. I never received a phone call on the delivery day (Thursday) & could not get ahold of an associate to see what was going on. Strike two. I called them the following day (Friday) & asked what was going on. I was told I'd get a phone call back within 30 minutes. An hour went by & I called them. I spoke with an Associate named Linda. I was told that they didn't know what was going on & that it could be delivered tonight (Friday). I explained to them I was not happy that no one reached out to me, & that now I need to cancel my Friday night plans with my wife to wait for a microwave to be delivered & installed before 7pm. I asked if I could get any kind of discount, compensation, credit or anything for the inconvenience. Linda, being *very rude* told me tough luck, we can give you a refund or change the delivery date. Strike three. So here we are. Come on Boyles. You treated me with respect when I was making a purchase. But after I've made the purchase, if you're going to treat people rudely, discount or not, I have to tell others to be aware. Do better. ***Update (the following day)*** My microwave was never delivered that Friday night as I was told. I just called this morning & found out they canceled my order on their own stating "we weren't sure if you wanted us to bring it still & we saw your one star review".... my favorite part was being called a liar this morning when I told you I wanted it delivered yesterday. Very professional. This is some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. I paid you. You took my money. I was told a day. You didn't do your job. I followed up. You told me you weren't sure what happened. I stated I was upset. You didn't care. I told you to deliver it last night. You told me it would arrive by 7pm. It never did. I called the following morning to be told you weren't sure if I wanted it anymore & was called a liar..... Do you see the pattern? If someone pays you for a service, do it, especially if it's your instructions of when it will be done.

On delivery their guys tracked in 3-4 inch globs of mud, broke items on our ceiling as they hit the freezer, then smacked the freezer on the metal and concrete in our storage room doorway. We called four times asking them to check the freezer as it would not get down to the temperature of the exact same one next to it. They refused to come but claimed to put an extended warranty on it. Here we are a year after the manufacture warranty and they're refusing to do anything, claiming it's our fault for not harassing them until they showed up to view the damage. Sally, the manager, was awful to deal with throwing out accusations like everything had been our fault even after talking to their own delivery guys and their admission to all that they had done. As if the damaged top of the door could have been caused by anything but exactly what their guys hit! Never again! I will go absolutely ANYWHERE but here and tell everyone I know and talk to.

Stopped off at the Costco here is Ogden, while my truck was being serviced down the street. Thought…read moreI would kill some time. This Costco is the nearest one to our house, so we frequently visit this location for our shopping needs and of course, our shopping "don't needs." Who's with me on this one... It seems like we ALWAYS leave Costco with items we had no intention of purchasing. (Well played Costco-well played) Because, who doesn't need 24 danishes or a giant bag of chips and 5 gallons of ranch dressing? But seriously. This Costco is usually extremely busy. It's a large facility, but at the end of the day, there is only so much room for people to navigated around. They have a large food court; which is always going strong. The store is organized and has everything you would expect to find at a Costco. Plus, clean restrooms. The Costco team members are always friendly and helping push customers through the lines. Which brings me to my only complaint. The lines are forever long. It seems like I am usually stuck for a good 10-15 minutes, waiting. They have a lot of registers and they are generally operating most of them... so, it's less of a shot at this Costco team and more of a suggestion that they open another location within 15 miles, to reduce the crowds and spread it out a bit. Today, I would like to wrap up by stating I was able to visit Costco and leave without spending a penny!!! Yep, I successfully won today... but to be honest, it's only because I was without my truck and didn't feel like carrying 10 pounds of desserts back to the dealership, where my truck awaits. LOL. I'll be back soon enough and will be guaranteed to spend more money.
