Anyone that gives a high rating to the hugely overpriced Utah liquor stores, have been going there too much and got used to the confiscatory pricing. Poor selection (there are a lot of wine bottles, poor variety). As an example, search for Italian white wine. By Utah standards Italy carries about 15 Pinot Grigio vintners and not much else for white wine. And there are lots of Italian White wines! Lower your expectations when you go here and you won't be disappointed.

The Pastrami melt was also a good size, enough to bring home half. Also ordered a hamburger plain, no salt or pepper and it was large and kept my dog happy and content. Service was great and will be back again. This visit was a 4.5.

What can you expect when…read moreyou have a state run liquor store ran by people who don't drink and have no experience retailing alcohol and no competition from other companies since they are a government entity and the only way to retail liquor in Utah. They have a slightly better beer selection than the state liquor store by the Newgate Mall but the parking and early closing time isn't worth the better selection. I long for a consistent selection of beverages regardless which store you shop at and the stores all having the same hours of operation. Some beverages cannot be purchased at any of the Ogden stores and you will need to drive to a Salt Lake City store to buy it.
