Oh man I hate to leave them a 1 star because I really like the variety & selection they have at the prices they have but regarding business to customer relations, very very poor. 1St off I want to say that I ordered a washing machine with Spencer & everything was great. He was professional, helpful, & knowledgeable. Why am I giving them a one star you might ask? Because of my second experience just a couple weeks later. I went in to purchase a mounted microwave. Pam was my sales associate & just like Spencer, was professional, helpful & knowledgeable. I choose the microwave I wanted, payed for it, & then was told they didn't have it in stock until after I purchased it. They then told me **I would have to go to a different facility** to go pick it up a week later. (The day I purchased this was a Saturday & they told me I'd get it Thursday) Strike one. But I was willing to try to be the better person & left their store saying thank you. Later that evening I called the store & told them I wanted to pay the additional 100$ to have it delivered & installed. They told me not a problem & they would call me on the scheduled day ( a week from then) to let me know what time they'd arrive. I never received a phone call on the delivery day (Thursday) & could not get ahold of an associate to see what was going on. Strike two. I called them the following day (Friday) & asked what was going on. I was told I'd get a phone call back within 30 minutes. An hour went by & I called them. I spoke with an Associate named Linda. I was told that they didn't know what was going on & that it could be delivered tonight (Friday). I explained to them I was not happy that no one reached out to me, & that now I need to cancel my Friday night plans with my wife to wait for a microwave to be delivered & installed before 7pm. I asked if I could get any kind of discount, compensation, credit or anything for the inconvenience. Linda, being *very rude* told me tough luck, we can give you a refund or change the delivery date. Strike three. So here we are. Come on Boyles. You treated me with respect when I was making a purchase. But after I've made the purchase, if you're going to treat people rudely, discount or not, I have to tell others to be aware. Do better. ***Update (the following day)*** My microwave was never delivered that Friday night as I was told. I just called this morning & found out they canceled my order on their own stating "we weren't sure if you wanted us to bring it still & we saw your one star review".... my favorite part was being called a liar this morning when I told you I wanted it delivered yesterday. Very professional. This is some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. I paid you. You took my money. I was told a day. You didn't do your job. I followed up. You told me you weren't sure what happened. I stated I was upset. You didn't care. I told you to deliver it last night. You told me it would arrive by 7pm. It never did. I called the following morning to be told you weren't sure if I wanted it anymore & was called a liar..... Do you see the pattern? If someone pays you for a service, do it, especially if it's your instructions of when it will be done. read more

If there were an option for zero or negative stars, that is absolutely what I would be giving. We purchased 4 large appliances, spending thousands of dollars on them. On delivery their guys tracked in 3-4 inch globs of mud, broke items on our ceiling as they hit the freezer, then smacked the freezer on the metal and concrete in our storage room doorway. We called four times asking them to check the freezer as it would not get down to the temperature of the exact same one next to it. They refused to come but claimed to put an extended warranty on it. Here we are a year after the manufacture warranty and they're refusing to do anything, claiming it's our fault for not harassing them until they showed up to view the damage. Sally, the manager, was awful to deal with throwing out accusations like everything had been our fault even after talking to their own delivery guys and their admission to all that they had done. As if the damaged top of the door could have been caused by anything but exactly what their guys hit! Never again! I will go absolutely ANYWHERE but here and tell everyone I know and talk to. read more

Piss poor service after the sale! this purchase was made with Boyle in order to do some business with a locally owned company,I had good intentions. So I purchased two refrigerators and one that needed water installed. Somehow this waterline installation this was not quoted properly(I have no problem paying for the job). and so the delivery crew told me that was not going to happen, and that the installation was actually just hooking up the existing waterline to the refrigerator that did not require a water source. moreover, they explained that delivery merely involved, dropping off the appliance on the driveway, and nothing more. after calling the store and explaining the situation, it was clear I was no longer dealing with people I care to interact with...just go to Lowe's or Home Depot... read more

Wish I could give ZERO stars! Bought a freezer just over a year ago. When it was delivered, they knocked it all over and slammed the top of it on the metal door frame of our cement storage area (which is standard size). The cherry on top was the globs of dirt they tracked in and didn't even care. It took me hours to clean up and our carpet is still not stain free! We called to get the freezer looked at after it being slammed around. They said they would put a "10 year extended warranty" on it and didn't come to check it. A week later, we called again saying it wasn't getting as cold as it should be. They kept putting off coming to look at it. We called every month or two and they kept brushing it off and putting off coming to look at it. Come to JUST over a year by a week or two and they suddenly tell us that if we wanted it fixed, we needed to call while it was under warranty. We talked to Sally, a supervisor, and she was the rudest I have ever dealt with in customer service. She wouldn't even listen to us tell her what had happened; she kept calling us liars; she said there was no warranty past the one year regular warranty and we were lying; we said she needed to listen to us so she knew what was going on; she yelled at us that we can't tell her what to do, told us not to call back and hung up. When they have customer service like this, why the heck would anyone go through them?? Learn from our mistake and DON'T go through them!!! read more

We were pleased with the service we received and the washer worked great for a year until it developed a horrible screech. Our sales person had urged us to purchase an appliance warranty ($350) and we were confident everything would be covered. When I called for help, I was told the warranty is through Allstate and Boyle's is not involved in any way. I was given their number and told to call them. Service calls are handled overseas and in the space of three days I documented 20 hours on the phone. 20 hours of repeating the same information, emailing the same photos and videos showing the model, serial number and screeching washer. I was told it would take two weeks for someone to evaluate the problem and decide if it could be fixed. After four days I received an email giving me the name of the only repair service that could come and look at the washer and decide if it could be repaired. I looked up the company and found they have multiple complaints, all one-star reviews and nothing that would make you want to open the door to their technician! I called Boyle's three times asking for a manager and left messages that were never returned. In the end, I called the excellent appliance repair company we've always used and paid for the repair out of pocket. He told me appliance warranties are worthless for all the reasons I discovered. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a complete set of appliances for a new home. Out of 6 appliances in my order, 2 of them were delivered wrong and 1 item was never sent at all, yet I was charged for it. It has taken me months of calling and calling. They never return calls, and when you do get someone on the phone they are rude and incredibly immature. I am 2 months into trying to get my correct appliances and get refunded for the ones that are backordered (yet I was still charged for them). Knowledge of their products is above the competition (RCWilley) and above all a good local family run business Recent experiences of what could have been an issue regarding a new mattress purchased their. I told Steve I trusted his judgement and Linda directed me to a mattress. Well it didn't work out so well. I stopped in a Linda has a new mattress headed my way. Most every other place would fight, cry and point fingers. Boyle's took my word and is helping me replace it with another option I have also gone in to replace a broken dryer for a house I was home sitting this last spring time, I simply was going to replace the dryer. Steve showed me a replacement and was ready to order the dryer but thought to ask " what's wrong with the one you have?" I explained what happened and he asked some questions to which he simple said " go home and check your circuit breaker for the dryer, call when you get done". I did and that's what it was. Moving into a new house in Ogden from out of town and we had to get everything - appliances, mattresses, etc. All the locals told me "just go to Boyle's." We got great advice from the knowledgable floor staff, in and out of there in 30 minutes at competitive prices. Delivery service was awesome, Daniel and co showed up at the front end of the appointment window, got everything hooked up and ran us through the appliance features and warranties. The worst customer service ever! I have been trying to get appliances for 2 years from this company. If I call and request an update on the status of my order I'm told they'll get them ordered. Again. I went to the store a month ago and was told they would get the range microwave ordered and it would be several months. They had a brand and color of one I didn't like on hand and being sick of waiting on orders I said lets just do this one so I can be done. After several phone calls and a few weeks they finally came to install my appliances. The microwave nutplate broke during installation. The store said we'll order you a new one and install it on friday. Friday I called the store at closing and was told it was in but they had to contact the installers, Now it's monday, my kitchen still has a gaping hole and a mess and still no word from Boyles. We were looking for a new dishwasher and I've heard great things about this place. We walked in and took a left trying to look for a dishwasher and within just a few minutes a sales woman greeted us. She led us to where the dishwashers were and asked us a few questions about what kind of dishwasher we were looking for. I did some research before and found that Bosch is one of the good brands, specifically the 300 series. She initially showed us a Bosch, LG, and a few others. She explained all the warranties, and the different features in each of the Different dishwashers. It was nice to have a sales person there that knew what they were talking about and could explain all the different features such as how to load the dishwasher, warranties, and all the different things that make each one unique. We ended up going with the Bosch 300 series because it is one of the top rated. Unfortunately they did not have any in stock because of the pandemic but they were expecting some the following week. We paid for a purchase and they will deliver for free from what I understand. They do charge to have it installed so I am just going to do that myself. This is definitely a place I will look to in the future. The people here are very knowledgeable and we were able to check out really quickly. read more

Do yourself a favor and read this BEFORE doing business with this company. My mom (who has done business with this company for many years) purchased a refrigerator in November. On the day of delivery, the city had shut the water off for a few hours. My mom made the employees aware of this however they didn't shut the water line off when they disconnected her old fridge. Well, as you can probably guess, when the city turned the water back on, her basement ended up flooding because of this mistake. Instead of trying to make this right, they deny any responsibility though they certainly know it was an error on their part. So, avoid doing business with this dishonest company and tell everyone you know to do the same. They refuse to pay the deductible for the insurance claim to repair her basement so let's make sure they lose far more business because they couldn't do the right thing. My mom's house is still torn apart because these fools don't know how to do their job! They claim that they are not responsible for water installation. Let me make this clear, they did not install the new refrigerator but they have to turn the water off WHEN REMOVING AN OLD FRIDGE. So because the city had shut the water off, they decided to just skip this step which caused a basement flood. The more we have talked with other people who have previously done business with Boyle's, the more we have discovered there to be many who have had bad experiences here. So do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible company that shouldn't be in business! read more

Last fall Boyle's had a brand new GE washer & dryer to my mothers condo in Washington Terrace. There were complications with the size. They had to take my doors her doors off the laundry space which they did with not only no complaints but they were extremely accommodating & very nice about it. After everything was installed they cleaned up the mess and help her store the doors in her basement. I appreciate their willingness to research replacement parts for me (as in broken refrigerator door shelf), answer questions about comparative models with very good information, to give service tips (like "you don't need to change your water filter in the refrigerator every six months--we have found every 12 months is adequate.") Yesterday our range went out, so the search began. We decided to start at Boyle's. We were met by Steve, whom I believe is the owner. Within a few minutes, we could see their prices were great, and they carried the best appliances. We found the range we wanted, and Steve called the warehouse. To our surprise, Steve gave us the next higher range, with more features, for the same price! Who does that? It would have cost use $300 to $400 more. Wow. What a great company! I was referred to Boyles by multiple people and I am very glad I listened. About a month ago I went in to look at various washer and dryers not knowing what I should get. Steve and Tom were excellent in walking me through the different models with the pros and cons. After asking me some questions we were able to choose the best washer and dryer for our family. The shopping, purchasing went great as did the delivery and set up. The office staff and delivery crew were amazing. We have not been disappointed. Buyer be Aware of Linda!!! We came to Boyles to select our Appliances for our new home that was being built. We decided to buy our refrigerator from Steve they had a great deal and everything would match. On April 6th the appliances were delivered. April the 9th we went down to the house and checked the appliances out. We noticed the refrigerator was scratched in a few places even on the one handle. I called and spoke to Steve. Steve ordered a new door. I explained nobody was living at the home at the time he explained they will leave the door there no problem. The appliances were put in place around April 14th. That is when noticed the toe kick was missing. I called Boyles and Linda order a toe kick. I explained again nobody was living there. She stated the same as Steve they will leave it. On April 21st we received both doors. I called Boyles to let them know and ask about the toe kick. On April 24th we found a delivery notice stating they would not leave the package because nobody lived there. I called Boyles on April 27th explain about the toe kick delivery notice. Linda decided to have the toe kick delivered to the store. We moved in May 1st that's when noticed the dent in the other door. No biggie we had both doors. I have been every week trying to get update on the toe kick. Every time I call, I get different stories. Like the toe kick is being delivered to my home. Then its running late because of the virus. Some the excuses are understandable but they always gave me the run around or they just didn't know what was going on. There one time I asked about the film that was left on the doors I was told just take a razor blade to it. I told them I'm not comfortable in doing that can we have someone do that when the toe kick comes in. I was asked one time who was changing the doors out? I said Boyles was the refrigerator was delivered this way. Finally, on May 18th Linda made the appointment was made for a repair man to come out and change the doors out on May 22nd. She reassured me the toe kick would be there in time. Yay I was happy. We stored both doors almost 2 months in our garage. They showed up on the 22nd. They installed the toe kick and they went to do the doors, but stopped. They stated they are delivering guys and are not comfortable in changing the doors out. They told me that a repair man is being called and that Boyles will contact me today. My husband and my mother were standing there and heard everything. I waited 2 hours and decided to call Boyles. I was told by a gentleman he would call me back in 15 mins and never did. The doors were left out in the middle of the garage with boxes opened. My husband and I closed up the boxes and moved them to the side of garage. I called back on Tuesday 26th with Monday being a holiday. I spoke to a girl not sure of her name she told me I had to call the repair man and make the appointment. I got upset because I was told that would happen on Friday. She transferred me to Linda. I tried explaining to Linda that this was supposed to happen on Friday and I did not get call back. I tried explaining their customer service sucks. She stated they could not make an appointment for me because they don't know my schedule. I asked what about a phone call to ask or even tell me? She stated she should not have to do everything for me. I explained we having dealing with this for almost 2 months and I call every week. I also explained it was so supposed be taken care of on last Friday but they sent delivery men instead of a repair man. I tried to explain to her that we have new refrigerator that looks used because it was delivered that way. She mocked me. Telling me oh you poor thing you have a brand-new refrigerator with a dent and scratch oh you poor thing. She belittled me and very ignorant. She said I was yelling at her and she didn't do anything wrong. But she was the one that made the appointment for delivery men and not the repair man. I asked about a refund she said nope I'm past my 3 days even though I called the day after the refrigerator was delivered. Being sarcastic she asked me if she was helping me. I told her no she is not. She hung up on me. I don't think mocking someone and being ignorant is helping me. I don't think sending a delivery man out instead a repair man is helping me. I don't think storing 2 doors for almost 2 months waiting for someone to know what is going on is helping me. The worst customer service ever. I called back to talk to Steve and he was busy with a customer. My husband went into Boyles and Steve made the appointment for the repair man. Steve apologized for delivery men showing up. Wow Linda was so hard to do? The doors did not come with handles. I called and talked to Spencer he was very helpful and understanding. Spencer was even apologetic. Wow Linda was so hard to do? We ordered a washer and dryer from Boyle's because we have heard nothing but good things about this local Ogden company. The service in the store was great, very efficient, and they were accommodating for our requests. We were especially excited for the delivery and installation but we were sorely disappointed when they dropped off our appliances in a hurry and did not help with any of the setup. They told us they could not assist with setting up the gas dryer but did not offer any other resources...and why didn't they bring someone that was licensed to help with the gas setup? They also seemed a little annoyed and in such a hurry. We were also told they would call 30 min before and they never called. Spencer talks down to you and is condescending when trying to resolve our problem of the washing machine not working 60 days after purchase. We bought a new LG washer and dryer and the washer stopped working right 2 months later. Error codes. Timer not counting down. Some cycle modes not working right. Referred me to an outside repair company who sucked. They came out and looked at it. Said the mother board probably needs to be replaced and would see when they could get one. Never got back to us after two weeks until I called to complain and they just said they are not available and said we should as Boyle to just give us a new one since the mother board was a unavailable due to covid. I asked Boyle to replace it. They said no. Now we are stuck with a lemon $1000 washer and they would try to get a new mother board. Now it's been 3 weeks since that last call and they have ignored me. No phone calls. Nothing. I even tried calling Spencer's cell # he had given me. No answer. No text back. Half the time you call their store and the phone goes to voice mail and they don't even answer. Total morons there. Terrible service. Better off going to RC Willey, Amazon, Costco or Best buy. Sales representative gave us the impression we couldn't afford what we wanted to buy. We were promised a washer and dryer that were to be delivered the day after Christmas, we were so excited. The washer and dryer were on the show room floor and we were promised that we would get one and that we were lucky we came that day because 4 had just came in and they don't pre-sale this particular brand. He had mentioned who knows how long until we get our next delivery. Long story short the day of delivery came and the delivery people notified us that we were only getting a washer. A representative from the store didn't contact us so we could discuss our options. When I called to see what happened we were told that things happen and that the dryer would possibly be delivered the following weekend and they could give us a loaner. I feel they sold our model but wouldn't admit to it. After I got upset I called to see what the refund policy was and pretty much was told that I was rude so it was fine if they were rude back to me. They mentioned they don't need my sale because they are doing so well. Keep up the great customer service I'm sure it will keep you as an established business. Every appliance in our new home came from Boyle's including our Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator, induction cook top, double oven, microwave and dishwasher. $$$ After doing extensive research we decided to return to Boyle's to buy a Speed Queen washer and dryer. This was no minor investment. We were tired of dealing with sub-par appliances and with the hassle of service repairs so we believed purchasing a heavy duty machine built to last 25 years from our small-town, locally owned business would be the sure way to avoid the headaches of unreliable machines and big box hardware stores. Boy were we wrong. Our 7 month old dryer suddenly stopped heating to dry the clothes. From beginning to end our customer service experience with Boyle's has been unsatisfactory. We contacted them first thing Monday morning and got no call back. We had to go to the store to finally talk to some one face to face since they rarely answer their phones. They said they would be in touch later that day with no return call. Come to find out their representative never sent the email. We called the next morning and were told there would be no service for at least ten days. They cared not that we would have to haul laundry for our family of 7 to the laundromat at our own expense. When I called back to explain that this solution was unacceptable I was spoken over, interrupted, and then finally was hung up on. Wow! Not the small-town, locally-owned customer service we were expecting. As repeat customers who've invested thousands of dollars to support this company we couldn't believe the complete disregard we received from this company. Our expectation was simple, stand behind your products and resolve the unreliability of your expensive products in an expedited way. The apathy we received was a complete disappointment. My recommendation: invest your hard earned money with a company who cares about their customers, particularly when they've sold you a lemon with a hefty price tag. read more

Our refrigerator broke just before Christmas Eve, we purchased a refurbished one at Boyles. That night, it too, broke!! It is now the 2nd of January and I sit here with a broken fridge. They DO NOT have anyone to repair this fridge/freezer. They send you to an outside source that comes to repair them which I've been waiting for for 5 days now!! Boyles sold A BROKEN REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER!! My holidays were ruined and ALL of my food was spoiled. Because of this, I highly recommend any future customers to shop elsewhere!! I have purchased my appliances from Boyles since 2002, that is 13 years. My most recent purchase was a Maytag dishwasher. When I went into the store I had no intention of purchasing a Maytag, but the sales person said it was the best machine for the money and I took her advice. The dishwasher had a 12 month warranty and on the 14th month it started having problems. I contacted Boyles and they said they couldn't do anything to help me because it was out of warranty. They offered to fix it for the cost of parts and service, around $300. The dishwasher new was $600 and it was only 14 months old! The dishwasher did continue to work under 1 of the settings, so we just kept using that setting for every wash. Now the dishwasher has completely gone out. I googled the model number and found out there are hundreds of people with exactly the same problem. There is even a class action suit for those who are willing to pay to have the dishwasher repaired, verify that the control module is the problem and submit a claim. Since the control module is easy to replace I went to Boyles and asked them to help me out. I offered to install the control module myself, all they had to do was provide me with the defective part. They said they would see what they could do and get back to me. Two weeks passed, so I called to follow up and they said they hadn't made a decision. Four weeks passed and still no call and no decision. No dishwasher for over a month and no call back, no customer service and no help. Because of a poor recommendation, poor customer service and no follow through on Boyle's part I would advise anyone to stay away from this family owned business. It has really gone down hill since the owner retired and his kids took over... SAD! read more

This place used to be great, but unfortunately has gone WAY down hill in customer satisfaction. They think since they have been in business for so long that they are invincible & it shows. All they care about is making the sale & once it's finalized they no longer care about you or any problems the BRAND NEW appliance may have. Steve Boyle is very arrogant & extremely rude. I have been buying from Boyle Appliance for over a decade. I have outfitted three homes with all new appliances from there and used to love them. After Steve took over the business from his father, everything went downhill. They are no longer focused on the customer, they are just in it to make money now. When I bought my Bosch dishwasher I had been searching Lowes, Home Depot, and RC Willey. I was surprised and happy to find a better price at Boyle. The price I paid for installation was reasonable. Service was great and it was installed in a timely fashion. The woman who helped me with my purchase knew very specific details about each machine and I was very impressed. I wish I could remember her name. Recently I had a little trouble with the installation as it was coming loose from my kitchen counter. Linda, the manager, reassured me my warranty would remedy this and I think it will. We'll see. If there is trouble, I'll be sure to complain. :) I then discussed the existing warranty and the extended warranty. She didn't push the extended warranty at me at all, but as I asked about what Boyle does with their five year warranty it was much better and half the cost of what the Bosch company quoted. I love little businesses like this. Great service, long time in the community. Product knowledge. I hope they thrive for many years. I'll be buying any and all my future appliances thru them. read more
