Excellent place to purchase or get your lawn / snow equipment repaired. Purchasing: They have the pros and the homeowners covered. Several lines of good, reliable equipment in most every price range. You aren't going to find "cheap" here but you will find quality. They don't sell the low-end products and you will find name brands for like Echo, Stihl, Cub, Toro, Honda, and a few others in the homeowner lines and add a few for the pros. Summer and winter (when we have it) equipment can be had at Wilkinson. Repair: They do a vast array of warranty work and what isn't under warranty is done at a fair price. Now, you need to keep in mind that there is a rush every spring to get lawn equipment worked on / tuned up and another lag in the fall for snow equipment. They work through it as fast as they can but hey, how many people can they possibly have work there? There is also a lag on parts during those times of year. I also like that they will do repair / warranty work on ANY equipment they can, no matter where you bought it (some dealers will only work on their own sales which is kind of poopy. You can trust these folks. They are on the third, fourth, or fifth generation of people working under the family name and you feel like they really care about you when you use their services. read more

I drove up to Ogden to check out their stand on mowers and ended up having one of the best consumer experiences I can remember. They took time to answer my questions. They were low pressure with just the right amount of attention. They even helped me resolve my needs while I was waiting for the machine to come in. I got a great mower at a very good price. Overall customer service is respectful but useless most of the time unless you can actually get the active mechanic to talk to you. They do not communicate well, will not call you when repairs are complete or with updates for long term repairs, sometimes call with confusing and inaccurate information that doesn't make sense for the equipment they are repairing. Once had them say something was ready for pickup and showed up and it hadn't even been worked on, when requested they did give free delivery to make up for that mishap. Whenever they have to "order parts" it seems to take longer than it should, as in months longer. Once dropped off a commercial zero-turn for a cylinder repair and it took them 8+ months to repair and return it (it was needed weekly so that was a lot of missed usage) and it didn't run afterwards anyway. I get the impression that they are taking in far too many repairs for how fast they can actually complete them and I won't be going there for repair's anymore. If you need something they have in stock like a belt or piece of equipment you'll probably be fine and have a good time, if you need repairs... maybe don't. read more

Used to really love this place. Had family speak very highly of it. I unfortunately didn't have a good experience here. I took my mower in and dropped it off leaving specific instructions to call me before any work was done on it so I could make sure it was worth the money. Matt told me they were three weeks out so I said I would take it somewhere else. He then offered to have me demo a unit and if I liked it I could buy it instead of waiting of repairs. I agreed and loved the demo. I called the next day said I want to buy it. Their staff told me Matt would call me back. After waiting at least two more weeks calling multiple times and leaving messages both on their machine and with staff I still hadn't received a call back. At some point I received instructions from Matt for their online system. After having three people try to use it without success I added that to my messages as well so they knew I was having a hard time with it. It was at this point I received notification from them that my mower I had originally brought in was completed and I could come get it. I then started to call Matt directly because I was specific that they needed to call me before they did any work. Eventually I was able to contact Matt and he was very confrontational and aggressive. He told me it was my fault that they didn't list they needed to call me on the work order, that no contact was made and that I should've come into the store. I had previously I explained I worked a 9 to 5 job in Draper so I couldn't make it in during regular hours. We were able to come to an agreement that I leave work early to make it into him and I called him that day to add a trimmer to the list of stuff we wanted taken care of. He confirmed our appointment. I leave work early and show up and he wasn't there and his employees told me he wouldn't be coming back in. While standing in line there were four people in front of me and every single one of them had the same issue I did about not being contact before work was done and not a single bill was under 150 that they had to pay to get their machines back. At this point I just bought the machine from another employee who we had heard great reviews about. The process was simple and they were kind enough to stay a little late and finish everything for us. We then dropped off another trimmer we were having issues with and asked them to again call us before work was being done. I then find out a couple weeks later that the mower we bought was supposed to have a packet that came with it with an owners manual, maintenance schedule, other stuff from the dealer and manufacturer, as well as a side discharge blocker for the mower. None of this was ever given to us nor were we called to come pick it up. At this point I called and asked them to not work on the trimmer and I would come pick it up. They told me they had already ordered a part and I asked them why I wasn't contacted first and they told me it still wasn't listed on my account to do so. I have also tried to get the new machine in for service many times with no calls back. After weeks of waiting for anything to be made right I'm exhausted. This was very frustrating as a first time new $10,000 mower purchase and has left a bad taste in my mouth. I am disappointed because these guys were talked about very highly by other companies in the industry and my family. The nearest certified Ferris dealer is in SLC which is quite a distance away and it is frustrating I have to resort to those measures. read more

I purchased a snowblower from Wilkinson this past thanksgiving through their online order system knowing that I had to work the following day. I made arrangements to have it picked up and dropped off at my home. When I arrived home I found it to be leaking fuel. I couldn't get through on the phone so I went to the store. They had been bombarded with customers all day long due to an unseasonal large snow storm. I waited in line and when I got to the counter the gal behind the counter went and notified the owner of my problem. As soon as he could he broke away and came to me. After explaining the situation he immediately arranged to swap machines and had someone load up another machine and follow me home to exchange the defective machine even though it was after hours. I can't express my gratitude enough for their prompt response and how they went out of their way to take care of me. That's real customer service and they won my business from that day forward. read more

Went in to get a brake cable for my Toro mower. The young lady at the counter looked up the part number, spun around in her chair, and pulled It out of a file folder right at her finger tips. I expected to have to order it. In and out in less than 5 minutes! Huge selection of Parts and a large showroom full of equipment. read more

I purchased a cub cadet riding mower in April. The staff were very informed and helpful. This week the yellow beast experienced some issues and when I called to ask a question of a service tech I was informed that they were sorry for the issues and volunteered to come pick it up since the shop was backlogged a week. Not the best for customer service. The store seems to know they have a corner on the market. Because of this I don't feel like they care about me as a customer, I am just another number to them. Bought new Cub Cadet in Nov. '17. Everything about sale was fine & tractor's worked out well. BUT, just found out that W. charges $85 to pickup & return machine in SL Valley for routine service. Should'a asked that before buying there instead of lcl Home Depot :-( read more

Worst place to do business, period. Purchased a generator, used twice for a couple projects - maybe 2 hours total time on the unit, then it suddenly stopped producing electricity. The motor ran strong without problem....just no electric to outlets. Took it in to Wilkinson for service and they said no problem, we'll take care of it. Two weeks later I called and they still had not fixed it. Two more weeks go by, and then it's a problem with brushes and a special order part is needed. Several weeks pass and a conversation with the manager/ owner resulted in Wilkinson saying, "It's not our problem."Great customer service..not. Steer clear of this business. read more

We were in the market for a new lawn mower. The salesman was completely attentive and knowledgeable about his products. We had never driven a riding mower with zero turn. The salesman took us out in the parking lot, showed us how to operate it and let us drive it around the lot for a while. When they found out we didn't have a truck and trailer to take it home, they offered to deliver it and set it up at no extra cost. I was very impressed with my experience here. read more

Did not have a good experience with Wilkinson. I had asked questions about a riding lawn mower and did not get the answers I was looking for at the store. I found what I was looking for online with Toro and ordered it online 8/22/19 and they said Wilkinson would deliver it and train me a 400.00 value. I called Wilkinson on 8/30/19 to check delivery. The said they had one in stock or I would have to wait 4 days for factory. I told them I would take the one in stock. When they delivered it, I had become very sick and so they showed my grandson how it works. I was taken to the hospital that night and have been in and out since. My son came over to mow the lawn and we where not able to get it to start. They came on 9/20/19 and picked it up. I called to check on it when I was out of the hospital and they said they were waiting for a casket for the carburetor. They delivered it back on 10/7/19 and I still seemed to be having problems. They came back out and the blade was not lowering correctly. Then they told me that I had not bought it from them, and they were not responsible for it. That I needed to work this out with Toro. They seem to be mad that I did not buy it from them. It has been over a month since I bought it and I have made two payments on it and today is the first day I have been able to use it. The then billed me 146.85 to fix the mower that had never been used. read more
