I've purchased audio systems for my truck and auto in the past--recently my wife needed a new AV receiver for her car, after seeing the reviews for this place I thought they'd be great--needless to say their customer service is not so stellar, unless you've got a couple hundred bucks you can slip in their pocket for advice (not the actual labor and parts, that comes later). After, several very frustrating attempts--and cash--trying to work with them-- I ended up contacting the factory dealership direct to get the help I needed. Apparently, you need to be a doctor, lawyer, or wealthy business man to get this little "audio" store to even help you. Lesson learned!!! Go somewhere else. read more

These guys have done solid work for reasonable rates several times for me. I like the knowledge level of both the staff and the installers and am comfortable having them tear apart the wiring in my cars to add or fix things. First installation was for a subwoofer in the wife's Explorer. They had several options for us and ensured that her wants met her needs and gave a good, custom install at rates in line with the competition. They didn't oversell but made sure we had a great selection to choose from in different price ranges. Second install was for a remote starter for the wife's Explorer (I'm seeing a trend here....) I wanted it for a Christmas gift and they were very accommodating to let me pay for the unit and the install up front with no hassles on the back end. I simply taped a business card to the box that stated install was prepaid and she simply had to schedule an appointment. Both installations were very professional and you can't tell anyone was running wires anywhere in the car. They were prompt, kept to their promised schedules, and did great work on both jobs. I am confident others are cheaper. I am confident I could have paid more. But I am most confident that this place offers great service and value for what you are shelling out for electronic equipment. read more

I was in my RV traveling from Louisiana back home to Oregon when I began experiencing issues with my stereo. I called the shop and talked to someone who gave me suggestions on how to remedy my issue. After trying them, I still had problems. At this point I decided to drop off the interstate and have them check it out. When I got there, the guy I talked to was there and was familiar with my problem. He immediately went out to the RV with me and looked at a few of the camera settings in my stereo. Within about 1 minute he had me up and running. Turns out at some point I had screwed up a setting and the issue was only operator error. The young man that helped me was very polite and helpful. After he reset my settings (at no charge) he shook my hand and said have a great trip. I called in to ask a question regarding hands-free installation for my smartphone. This call was based on the fact that I assumed they carried a product featured on their Facebook page. Reason being...that when I clicked on the link I was taken to the store's webpage. I was told by the gentleman that answered the phone that he was not aware they carried the product, but could possibly get it. I mentioned I saw it on their FB page and was directed to their website as well. The guy told me he had a customer at the counter and would call me back. He took my number and didn't ask for my name; but I did introduce myself when I called. Needless to say...I didn't get a call back yesterday. I ended up calling Sound Warehouse and was immediately helped and guess what?! They know what they advertise. Audio Xtreme lost an install yesterday and didn't even know it. Shame. read more
