I had them install a radio I had. The dash was improperly installed. The light sensor was missing (in the ashtray with 3 screws not installed). The loose dash caused the gear indicator not to be properly visible. The sloppy dash installation was unsightly. Too bad their work wasn't as good as their excuses. The owner's response errored in that all parts were there other than radio adaptions that were purchased from the store. Parts were in the ashtray alongside of the parts used in the reassembly. I was not offered any rework both times I brought it back. The car was shown in the disassembled status and estimates were based on that. If you were not able to reengineer, you should have stated that rather than say you could do the job. I was able to reassemble it and I'm am not a professional. read more

Car tunes is the best! We had a radio system in our motor home that was not working. They immediately were able to find the issue and get it working. We restarted the motor home and it reverted to the same problem - they worked with it and corrected all the issues and also gave us some information on new systems if we continued having problems. Had a remote car starter installed just before Christmas. I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me the most expensive model but provided options so I could make an informed choice. Very friendly and got it installed much faster than other places. Connections are all soldered instead of using connectors - makes for a much better and longer lasting connections (this was an important benefit). highly recommend read more

I was excited to get my stereo fixed today at 10:00am Cartunes but they double booked my appointment and couldn't do it. The manager Jean told me this lie and he said their computers went down last week and When went down it messed up the bookings. Well I had called them Friday because I wasn't sure I should keep my appointment I didn't realize my son had a Dr appointment the same day at 1:30. I said ok why didn't you tell my Friday your computer accidentally double booked me? He looked like shit and backtracked then He said he didn't really talk to me he just had the installer call me. That's a lie he told me there wouldn't be a problem because they have the whole schedule cleared for me that day and he told me a lot about cartunes and about scrape and how I should look it up on Facebook. But the installer did call me on Friday he also didn't tell me I was double-booked he told me that I should keep the doctor's appointment and that he would work around my schedule he said it probably wouldn't take more than an hour and a half. I told them I didn't expect him to give me an estimation of time to fix the truck because that's unrealistic he hadn't seen it. If it would take longer I would cancel my son's appointment it's not urgent and he assured me it wouldn't and if it did I could leave and come back. He did not tell me I was double booked. they also told me they would call me the day before nobody called me yesterday that would have been an excellent time to tell me hey we figured out our system broke we accidentally double-booked you. Or alternatively this morning before I wasted my time going there he could have rescheduled it. Instead I show up and he tells me this and I can tell he's lying and I called him out on it. When the truth comes out, the person I was "double booked" with had prepaid and I was "still on the fence" about it. I wasn't on the fence about anything period I came there with money to get my truck fixed. He said I could leave my truck there which I couldn't because my son has a doctor's appointment and that is not what we discussed. He acted like it was an inconvenience but could get somebody else there in about 30 minutes. I didn't trust them to touch my truck at all after this. He didn't care I feel like this is a normal business practice for them and I left I went to the truck I called the Layton store to get the owner's name which they would not give me I found it on the website though I asked for Jeff's contact information and they didn't give it to me. The store manager listen to my complain then said he would call Jeff and see what could be done since I was still sitting in the parking lot of car tunes. So he leaves me on hold and comes back and says they're willing to see you and they'll do it they stereo. I said that's it? That's the resolution? they'll do what they were supposed to do an hour ago?? He said well you were late for your appointment. I was like no I wasn't you weren't even there why would you say that? Why are you now putting the blame on me?? I came there to do business with you and to buy something from you and now you're blaming me?? yes I probably got there at 10:03. My bad you had days to tell me not to come. They didn't care that I left they didn't care about my business. I told him I was potentially waiting to see what kind of customer service you were going to offer and the answer is none. I'm really grateful that this happened actually because if anything ever would have gone wrong with that stereo I know how you would have resolved my concerns. I'm glad that I didn't give you one penny. I would suggest that nobody go to Car Tunes. They are scandalous Shady Liars. read more
