We went to this Target for the Valentine's Stanley launch. We only got there about 10 minutes prior to opening and had about 20 people ahead of us in line to enter the store. About 2 minutes prior to opening, the manager came out and gave us the rundown of how the Stanley sales would work that morning. They kept all of the newly-launched cups at the customer service desk and we were instructed to walk in the same order we were standing in line in and follow through the queue at customer service to purchase the cup. The manager also set a one cup per person/transaction limit. This was THE MOST organized and customer-centered launch of a highly anticipated product that I could even imagine. They did a phenomenal job. Most of us in line were concerned that we would get to the display and people would be grabbing 5-10 each and we wouldn't be able to just get one, but this target made sure that as many people as possible could get one. I just went there to get my baby's formula I accidentally grabbed toddler formula last night when I went so I went to exchange for infant formula and there was only 1 can left but the lid was completely broken off and on the lid the baby scooper is in it so seeing how it's broken off I still had to make the exchange and the customer service girl there would not give discount of any kind she said "will you still be purchasing even though lid is off" me "of course I mean my baby has to eat, but seeing that the lid is broken I would like a discount still" her "seeing that you will still purchase it it's still good so I'm not giving you any discount" this will be the last time I purchase anything from that target read more

This review is specifically for the security at Target. Yesterday I was approached by a female officer at Target. She asked if I needed help. She was very aggressive and rude. I told her no thanks and continued shopping. But noticed she was following me. Not being sneaking. But trying to be intimidating I think. I don't drive and was waiting for an Uber. So I was there 40 minutes or so. She was right behind me the whole time. I didn't realize it at first. But I think she thought I was stealing. I had bag from FiveBelow with blankets for my grandchildren in it. I think she thought I was homeless. I hadn't done my makeup either. So I assume she was judging my character off of how I looked. The experience just hurt my feelings. I am aging and an empty nester. This young lady made me feel awful. Target should do better when hiring security. She wasted a lot of time following me around. I didn't buy nearly what I came to shop for because she was so obnoxious following me. I'm not shopping there again. 100% because of this young lady. Maybe it's a new job for her. Maybe she has seen Paul Bart one too many times. Idk. But I'd like her to know. She hurt my feelings. Ruined my Easter shopping day. I think she could do better as a person and be kind. This is the closest target to me, it's about 30-45 minute from where I live and I love it this store! We usually do a girls night dinner and Target! This location has always been so clean and well organized! The employees are very friendly and helpful! Easy to checkout, if it's self checkout or going through a line super fast and they make sure to help you with the circle rewards! I love this target! I've been to a few others but this is my top store in Utah! Second so far in the United States that I've been too! read more

I wanted to take a moment and let you know about what it is like going to target these days... Ok products, fail on facilities. My fiancé went to target looking for some running shorts and discovered a huge clearance rack of great deals on other clothes so we said "oh just try them all on and see what fits." We then proceeded to seek out the fitting room. Because this is target and the social agenda is strong with them, OF COURSE there was only a "non-gendered" fitting room area. Only there isn't. In order to get to the fitting room, you have to walk past either women's clothing... or if you are actually coming from the men's clothing section, you have to walk through women's lingerie! Once in the fitting room... which by the way does NOT have doors all the floor... my 30 year old male fiancé found himself changing within 10 feet of a 12 year old girl trying on bikinis with her mom. The little girl was prancing around and posing in the mirror (in the common fitting room area NOT her own fitting room) and the mom gave HIM the stink eye. After this uncomfortable and awkward experience, we grudgingly purchased a few items and decided to offer feedback at guest services on our way out. I should say that it was barely received and not well. We will never go into a target store again after this experience. They only care about their social agenda and couldn't care any less about how their customers actually feel. This location is always very clean. They have way more options and cuter clothes for boys than Walmart. The staff kind of hovers sometimes though. It's a little bit off putting feeling like you're being watched all the time like a thief. But other than that it's an overall good shopping experience and the cashiers are always friendly. read more

I shop at target mainly for the hot moms. Walmart is disgusting and just smells like manure. This store is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and it's never crowded. They're generally pretty good about not making anyone wait to checkout. They also just added self checkout. Great. read more

I often end up going to Target because they are closer than their blue competitor and the store is always so quiet and deserted. I almost always regret going to Target, and I quickly remember why the competition is so much busier. You would think that because they have very few shoppers in comparison that the shelves would be better stocked. They are not. You would think the lines would be shorter. They usually are not. Target also does not understand that people often want to get in and get out quickly. Instead they always force their customers to the middle of the store to check out and usually stand in a line, and of course no self check-outs. I think they force customers to the middle of the store to make them walk through the store more and possibly buy more but it is a psychological deterrent for those trying to get in and out quickly. There also appears to be a one way mirror at the managers office in the middle so they can spy on their employees. Either way it is silly. The beer case is almost never fully stocked and has a poor selection anyway. - 20 pts for that. As a store Target is fine and when I do go it is to avoid the crowds at their competition. Then I realize that despite the crowds I usually end up with what I need and if I don't go at peak times I can get in and out. Target usually does not accomplish either objective. Target gets one star because one of the three or four closest parking spots are ALWAYS available. read more

If i could give this a 0 i will, but not to long ago i went inside this store with my 3 month old puppy he's a pit bull and they told me to not ever come back to that store with that type of dog cause he was barking and biting people and he was a bad dog just cause he was a pitbull , My dog was only 3 months old he was a baby, my dog is the sweetest puppy you'll ever meet, he loves meeting new people, Some white people walked right passed us when we were in the toy isle and my puppy was minding his business laying down on the floor while we shop, and they tried to coke at him, therefor you should know you should never come up to a dog if you don't know him and just grab him just like that, my puppy got scared and started barking at them, So i left to another aisle because they wouldn't stop saying my dog was a bad dog that he but them, when my dog never bit them. I left to go to where they have the fish stuff to see if they had something i needed for my fish tank and the target security (i didn't even know those target security's were a thing) came up to me mad and yelled at me saying my dog is a pit bull and he can't be in public places and that i had to leave and never come back with that dog cause he was a vicious animal. And so i left and the people who my dog supposedly bit were just laughing at us. So if you have a pitty be careful on taking him/her in there. My dog is now 8 months and loves meeting people whenever he sees people walk by he gets his toys and sits to see if they come up and play with him. read more

The store is an average Target store. If you've been to Target, this one is no different. It's a Supercenter, so groceries and hot food is available. This used to be a good store BEFORE they re-modeled it. It had a full grocery store and many other items I needed to find. Since the recent re-model, they barely have much in the way of groceries. They expanded all the baby and maternity crap. Those are NOT the items I needed. The hair care, healthcare and makeup are much less variety now. Plus the only registers open now are the do-it yourself kind. Trying to ring up my own items is a serious pain, those registers always malfunction. How about have some traditional check stands open and let your employees do some work. They only ever stand around talking amongst themselves. read more

This is my go to local Target. I always have an easy time shopping there, but tonight was a different story. My sister and I walked into the dressing rooms and the associate was very rude towards us. She in directly asked us to take the clothes out when we were done, but at first we didn't hear her because it seemed like she was still chatting with another associate. And so, she repeated her self except "Excuse me? Can you take the hose out when you are done?" She sounded annoyed and too sassy for retail. And not in a good way. I have worked customer service for 3 years and it doesn't matter what is happening; you don't speak to a customer that way. read more

All I can say is that these people are crazy. They don't know how to handle coupons. They do coupon fraud by taking the full amount of the coupon from the companies when the price of the product was less. At one point they were given the customer the extra money of the coupon for other products and then they turn around and say no. A manager said sorry that the cashiers don't know that they are suppose to give you the extra towards your basket and then a few days later a different manager says we can't do that. They can't get the stories straight at all. I really hate shopping there. I was going to call the regional manager but I really don't care anymore. A nice target, but I wish they would upgrade to the level that the Layton one is at, they always have what I'm looking for! The carts are falling apart and on about every cart the wheels are crooked and broken. If they would upgrade like the Layton one did it would be a 5 star. It has a great layout and good customer service. One of the downsides of shopping here is they don't get in products very fast, so don't see something on TV or online and expect to find it unless it has been out for a month or 3. read more

I love target! I love that they have so many ways to save unlike Walmart. Cartwheel is one of the coolest apps I have on my phone. The only thing that kind of sucks is, I work across the street at Sams and don't usually get off anywhere from 9-9:45ish at night and it's kind of a bummer that the self check out machines are already shut down for the night. I could understand if they closed at ten to have them off, but when they still have 1 1/2-2ish hours until they close, why not have them open? But I don't complain too much because as I said, I work retail and we sometimes have our SCO machines closed because we don't have an associate to stand and watch over them so I understand. I'm just antisocial and when I'm tired and sometimes ornery from work it's nice to just check myself out and be on my way. But I don't think I've ever had a negative experience here hence the 5 stars. read more

It is your average super Target. It has healthy selection of food with a large collection of produce. While this one does not have a Starbucks inside, it does have a quick pizza hut. The dollar selection is nice, but the selection of things are sparse. The staff is super friendly, but they don't have an adequate # of staff working the register when the store is busy. As expecting parents my husband and I were in the Riverdale Target of Utah nearly once a week stocking up on supplies for our twins. We purchased diapers during the sales so we could use the gift card rewards on clothing and other essentials. We even created our registry with Target - and when our families didn't purchase from it - we did. No matter. We knew what we wanted and where we could find it. We have spent plenty of time online purchasing things as well because occasionally we couldn't find what we needed in the store. When our twins arrived early... Too early... We took some time away from sitting by their bedsides at the NICU to visit Target and continue to stock up on things like cute blankets for the bedding - Circo brand was just the right size for the mattress - as well as some preemie clothing. The cribs were assembled and waiting for our babies to arrive home and the room was coming along with every trip or purchase from Target. Then, we lost our son. It became increasingly difficult to step foot in the nursery and see two cribs, two car seats, and piles of clothes... Just waiting to be used. At some point I had built up the strength the "organize" what we had into what I could keep, donate, and return. Since most of the things we had were from Target and unopened I knew I could return those things ... But I didn't have receipts. Over several days I packed things away and headed to Target to return the things I could. My husband and I came in somewhat teary eyed with two large bags of things to return. I watched as the cashier scanned each item and cried as I silently said goodbye to the things we would now never use. I was happy that there were no questions asked... As I just could not answer them. The first return included clothes and the car seat. After trying to track down the receipt for the crib and no such luck, I called Target and asked to speak to a manager. After tearfully explaining our situation to Miguel he explained that he could accept the crib back with no questions asked. My husband, on his own, took the crib up and Miguel came to the counter told my husband how sorry he was and took the crib back. My husband cried out of sheer relief at how easy Target had made it for us. There was no arguments, no questions, they just took care of us. Thank you Miguel for making something that was so incredibly hard for us a little bit easier. We continued to shop at Target while we set up her nursery. We ordered a beautiful chair online that came with a slight defect due to packaging but we were able to return that and re purchase the same one. We picked out shelves and decor for her room, too. Now that our daughter is able to fit into newborn clothing we decided to wash a bunch of things just so they were ready without realizing her monitors will make it difficult to wear sleepers with zippers. So I set out to return a couple sleepers and exchange them for a larger size. I'm not sure when she will be able to wear something with a zipper but I'd rather be hopeful and just get larger sizes. Linda was so helpful and quick with the return. She asked about my sweet girl and we talked briefly about my family but it was so wonderful of her to ask and give me a great big hug... I needed that today. Thank you Linda. I made sure to tell her how wonderful everyone has been to us and that when we got the chance we would be writing a review. You just don't get the same level of service anywhere else. We exclusively shop at Target now and my husband and I both have red cards so that we save that 5% each visit. I love that you constantly have sales on diapers as the Up &Up were always my favorite from my days as a nanny. I love the variety of clothing and I LOVE checking out the clearance section because I always find a gem or two. The store is ALWAYS neat and clean and I feel like that's important to the shopping experience. I have not once had a bad experience even prior to all this. Thank you Target for everything. Thank you for taking care of us in a way no other store could. read more

DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM TARGET ONLINE!!! I have never had such a horrible experience!!! We order a living room set from Target online. It took three weeks for the first piece to show up. The ottoman was the wrong color and the chair was broken and ripped. We had to wait another week to get the chair went back, and in the meantime our broken loveseat showed up. It looked like they put a forklift through the bottom front piece. We never did get the couch. They sent us two emails saying it would be delivered and it never was. We sent back the chair and loveseat (never did see the replacement ottoman). Dealing with the delivery service was such a hassle. We cancelled the whole order, and a week later they tried to deliver the couch(we weren't home) but they left me a voicemail saying it was so damaged they had just taken it back to the warehouse. THEN, I had to try to deal with Target customer service to get a refund. I have called ten different times over a week and a half, been put on hold and hung up on numerous times trying to get my money back. They never do what they say and do not call you back to follow up even if they say they will. They tried to give me a bunch of gift cards to their store and tell me they couldn't do a refund through PayPal which isn't true. I finally lodged a complaint with PayPal and am hoping they can help me get a refund. This whole experience has been horrible, and I will never make the mistake of ordering through Target online again!!! Negative stars!!!!! read more

This is the greatest target I have ever had the privilege of shopping at. From the atmosphere of the parking lot to the incredible employees who keep it running. I love the employees at this Target store much more because of the effort put for by the employees to make you feel like a member of their family. I used to love Target. I could find an excuse to go there once a week. But then they remodeled the Riverdale location. The grocery section has been cut in half (maybe more), the seasonal section is crammed in the back of the store rather than in it's own area, and the plus-size clothing selection is practically non-existent. Oh, and the shoe and purse sections? Cut down to about 1/4 of what they were. Target moved everything around (except the pharmacy) and cut the size of every section. Clearance clothing? Sometimes you can find a rack of clothes, sometimes it's nowhere to be found. I find no joy in visiting Target since the remodel - it's nearly impossible to find the staples and there isn't room enough for new or innovative things (especially in the grocery section). I keep hoping the Riverdale location will change things back but I doubt that will happen. I guess I'll just have to order more online (but NOT through Target). read more
