My wife loves this place and from time to time I get to tag along. This last time we went I was listening to the overhead music and was caught by surprise that they were playing an instrumental version of A Mighty Fortress is our God. I quickly found my wife to tell her and she reminded me that Hobby Lobby is a Christian owned company. While I may not choose to play religious tunes if I ran a business, I think it is cool that this company is willing to do that and they still have a lot of business. This is probably the most comprehensive craft store I've been to. And I've been to a lot in my 11 years of marriage. If it was a little closer, we'd probably spend more time here.

Chevron and zebra print birds. A buyer somewhere green lighted this.

LAYTON, UT: I love this Hobby Lobby, they have everything my wife needs...except sufficient service employees to show me where to find said things. I'm the guy wandering all over the store clueless until I bump into an employee. And I like taking photos of the funny stuff I see on the shelves while I meander.

Excellent selection of home decor and craft supplies. Go to their website for coupons. They have the best selection of Christmas ornaments.

Their prices are very competitive-if not lower than the other craft stores in the area.

We shared what we were looking for and they made sure to show us all the options. What impressed me was they aren't a commission sales rep but they stayed a little over an hour past close to help my friend find the furniture she wanted which resulted in a same day purchase. Meanwhile in other stores that closed they told us to leave and come back tomorrow. Seeing first hand my friends good experience I decided to come with my wife to find a new couch for us. Every employee was very helpful. No matter where we went in the store someone wanted to help us. When we finally accepted help they answered all our questions, shared similar couches to the one we liked in different price points and respected our choice for just looking at options. My wife and I felt we found the one we wanted and slept on the idea. I went back the next day to sit on it for 30 minutes to see if this would be what I wanted at home and it was. I got all the numbers on how it would work and left with the info. I ran the numbers with my wife and it made sense to buy the couch that day. I went back 10 minutes before they closed and they thanks me for coming back and gracefully helped me place the order. I did elect to have it delivered to my house and get it installed. Considering the great service in store I expect set up to be the same. Though if it isn't I'll come back and update this review. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience here. As a bonus they have an indoor playground for kids to play while you shop.

The inventory here is made up of overstocked goods, damaged or refused shipments or even abandoned or unclaimed items. You never know what they are going to have, so each visit will be unique. This means it might be challenging to come in hoping to find something very specific, but if you're a little more flexible, you could snag some great treasures. The majority of the store appears to be clothing and household goods. There's also accessories, shoes, groceries, electronics and a little bit of furniture. My favorite part of the store is in the back corner called "Collectibles." This is where you'll find name brand clothing, handbags, watches and sunglasses. I had to restrain myself from buying $260 Jimmy Choo shoes, but they were a half size off and a little more worn that I would prefer. Most items in the store are new, but the collectible section does have pre-owned things as well.

I don't know what happened to this store, I used to love it. Lately though everytime I go in…read moresomething is different in a way that makes me not want to shop there. It feels like the store doesn't want to sell stuff, they put limits on how much you can buy (there's signs everywhere saying limit of 3), nothing is on sale anymore (they do 30% off plates instead of 30% off kitchen) . Absolutely no thanks to all that. If I'm going to a store to buy plates, I probably also want other kitchen supplies as well. I refuse to pay full sticker price at a store like NPS where the boxes are severely damaged and where it's a 50% probability that the item is damaged. They don't do many weekly sales anymore so It's incredibly rare lately to find anything at a great price, the prices at NPS are the same on Amazon. Without the additional percentage off, it doesn't make sense to buy from NPS. The only things you can actually get a good deal on is their almost expired food.
