Two items were substituted for specific items needed. Made a call to have those two items delivered and swapped for the incorrect ones. This was confirmed. Those items were job and time critical. After three days I call again to find out where those delinquent items are. Then they tell me instead of swapping them, I have to return the incorrect items, then pay again for the new ones, then they will order the correct items. Another lost three days. I have to drive to town to return and pay. Again, expecting two more days, after three I call again. Cant get through to the pro desk. This happens two days in a row. At some point one item shows up via UPS. The other item turns out not to have been ordered at the same time and tracking shows it now coming from NY state with an unknown shipping date. Looking at the HD website for this product it now shows delivery by a date that is 14 days away. I end up having to cancel this order and reorder it from Lowes with a three day lead time until home delivery. In summary, way too painful for a Pro order. I wont use HD again for an important project. The people I dealt with at the Ogden store were all very nice, though insensitive to the delays, but communication within HD and to this Pro customer were sorely lacking. I recommend looking at alternative lumber yards first if its an important project.

When I asked the guy if he would mail me an invoice is response was "Well I'd have to buy my own stamp." I had to have him repeat that because I couldn't believe he was serious. He did. I said "I'm spending over $200 and you can't afford a frickin stamp?!? Charge me for it then!" I was absolutely amazed and pissed off! I can't imagine a store owner, or even a clerk would be stupid enough to risk such bad PR!! He gave me the total and told me it didn't include a stamp. I thought that meant he would be gracious enough to trouble himself to suffer the cost of a 41 cent stamp. turns out he asked my step daughter to make sure I get the invoice. I assume if the employees at specifically the riverdale location actually looked over returned items to make sure everything was complete and operated properly, I would never have this issue. While I am sure that the supply chain issues that all companies are experiencing lend a huge role in this, it seems it has always been an issue with Harbor Freight stores. If they have it, you're going to like the price. Coupon shopping used to be great at Harbor Freight as well. Youl could find "25% off" coupons randomly which gave you great deals on an item when you needed it. They also ran some good sales in their flyers. Something in their ad structure has changed and they no longer seem to offer the deep discounts that they used to. Not a deal breaker as their prices are still decent, but that definitely got me in the door more often. Hopefully the in stock position of this store will improve with time and make it a more reliable "one stop" for tools.

I refinished a dresser for my kids over the summer and needed a piece of hard board cut to replace the bottom of two of the drawers. When I was having an employee (I believe his name was Riley) help cut the pieces, because that is a service they claim to provide, he was extremely rude. And then told me he would only cut one piece and I would need to come back when someone else was working because he "HAD OTHER SHIT TO DO". After I said something about it being pointless to even cut the first piece then, he rudely and reluctantly cut the second piece. Mind you, this was all from one slab of hard board. I wasn't asking for 25 cuts or something and if I had the tools to do it myself I obviously would not have been there asking them to simply complete a service they provide. I get home and he cut them off by half an inch so they didn't fit in my drawers and I had to go back, pay for more board and have them re cut anyways. I even double checked my measurements to make sure it wasn't my mistake but they were exactly correct. I am certain he did it on purpose. My husband was furious that he spoke to me like that over needing to do his job and called to speak with a manager. The manager told my husband he believed it was an employee who had already put in notice and was working his last shift that day. I figured I'd give it another chance if that were the case, lo and behold the next time I went in, months later, he was still working there and as rude as ever. Another employee helped me that day while training a new employee and I overheard him even say to never ask "Riley" for help because he was a cocky, rude, know-it-all, who wouldn't help. Shocker.
