I was very impressed with this Target. I had to visit a few times so far and it's right near my hotel. I am from out of state here on business and I am truly happy with this store. It is giant for a Target. I live in a city twice the size of Layton and we have a normal Target. This Super Target is amazing! Granted, it's no different than other Super Targets in major cities but fair play to Target for having it in a city the size of Layton. Impressed! I can't stand when I have to visit this location because they let AT&T employees walk around the store and harass shoppers to switch phone plans. I do not want to deal with that when I'm just trying to hurriedly pick up some groceries. read more

One of my favorite targets around. It is always well stocked and I love the employees in the deli section! They do a good job with their meats, and the bakery does a good job with birthday cakes! Right now all the Halloween is on clearance and they have a lot left! They also changed their Christmas decor up a little bit and I really like the changes! The employees are super helpful with red card deals. They did change their price match policy though. They will only price match with target online and with Amazon. (But only products that are sold by Amazon. Not private sellers) read more

The guy working self-checkout today at 12 pm was the absolute worst. I politely asked if he'd take the tag off of the sweats I just bought and with no smile or word, he took it and walked away. Then I moved out of self checkout so others could use it and stood in an obvious spot where he'd see me. But when I looked up a few minutes later, he was walking around the area and didn't have my sweats? I was so confused. I was patiently waiting to get his attention as I had my baby with me in the cart. About 5 mins later I walked back to where I checked out and he threw it on the side of it (where I couldn't see and someone else could easily grab it). Very irritated with this worker as he obviously did not care about returning the item to his customer. Could also be a lot more greeting. read more

Has a great variety and the produce is very fresh. This store is much larger so it has a bigger selection. Associates are friendly so good service. And prices seem to be more competitive than it use to be. read more

I usually enjoy going to Target because they always seem to provide almost anything I'm looking for. And if not I am always able to ask an associate or even look at my Target app to see where certain items may be placed in the store, and if they are available in the store. I have always enjoyed reading and tend to go to the nearest Target to find the next books on my list. Target always seems to have the specific book I'm looking for and always sell them for much cheaper than what I would find at other stores. I have had many experiences of going to a bookstore to find a specific book and haven't been able to find it. But I have always been able to find the books I'm looking for at a better price at Target. read more

I was very impressed with this Target (Layton, UT)! It was quite large and had other sections that are not available where I live. There was a bakery and deli section! The conversations I heard from some of the employees today speaking loudly enough for all to hear we utterly disconcerting. I don't care what beliefs you have- I truly do not. But your Sunday shift at Target is not your soap box moment. & when I need help finding something- the girls working there were just rude and careless. If this is what customer service is coming to, I'll do my shopping on Amazon from now on. 01/2023 I had to go to this target today to return a gift. I hate going to this target. I HATE it. It makes me lose hope in the future of people. The good Lawdddd help you of you have to get help from an employee. They will literally be like, "Umm, yeah I don't know." and that is it. Whoever is hiring and training these CHILDREN needs to lose their job. Stop being helpless and do your goddamn job. It is not hard. You can easily tell someone, " I don't know, but let me find someone who can help you". This store is filled with name tags on rocks. Sorry not sorry. Stop being scared to simply talk to people. Target. It hardly needs a review but here it goes. This last time I went to this Target, I was greeted by a friendly employee. I actually felt welcomed into the store. I feel this location does a pretty good job at keeping their shelves organized and stocked. The seasonal section is probably the one exception. It is stocked at the beginning of a new season but tends to become bare as the season progresses. If you want to look at Targets seasonal items in person, you need to beat the crowds. I most often come here with my kids to look at toys tie their birthdays or Christmas. The toy aisles have a good selections but there are often empty shelves. Maybe that is intentional to give the impression of scarcity. I've had a good experience with their staff here. Friendly and available. Not always the case at other locations. read more

Being a former HR ETL, I was very displeased with how I was treated at guest service by Jessica, a current leader at the Layton Target store. I had purchased a watermelon, got home, cut into it, and it was rotten. I took a video of the melon and threw it away as it was in several pieces in hopes the melon was good minus the rotten spot. It was throughout the melon. Getting a new one from the floor to exchange, Jessica was called up to back up. She gave me passive aggressive mannerisms and vocabulary, and failed to deliver guest centered service, no apology for inconvenience, nothing. I was only told that if it were to happen again, that I would need to bring the messy cut up watermelon in-store, despite having a time stamped video of the watermelon. I was told that "Guest come in here wanting a refund after they drop the watermelon and lie about it being rotten". I was very offended in how she was gesturing that I was lying and trying to manipulate the system. As a former HR ETL, I was very disappointed in this Target location and this leader. The culture of this store, allowing leads to treat guests like this, is not okay, and intolerable. I then had to go back to the store as the second watermelon was rotten as well. As requested, I brought the dripping cut up melon in my car, making an absolute mess, and brought it to the service desk. Not cool. read more

This Target hit the BULLSEYE! It's huge, (hence the "Super Target" part) and has everything you might want. There are lots of sales going on right now, and trust me when I say the only words better than "clearance" are "free tacos". One of my favorite parts about this Target, was the fact that they had more than one lane open! It's hard to believe that they actually take advantage of the 24 check out lanes. I know, hold your applause. The food court has the most delicious Monster Cookies you'll ever have. Between the chocolate chunks and M&M's sandwiched between delicious oatmeal dough, that's what I call living. Starbucks shares the same court, so grab a hot cocoa to wash down your cookie. The produce is fresh and happy, the clothing is fun and spunky, and the house items are hipster and unique. Something for everyone and everyone gets something. We actually went through the same check out line 4 times, because we kept going back for something else. I'm not even embarrassed to say that. Again, because I love Target. You know, I love Target, who doesn't? but this Layton location had bad customer service and was very unprofessional. I had a 3rd party baby shower registry with some Target specific items on it. We ended up getting 2 of the same stroller from Target by mistake. Prior to returning one of the items, I called Target 3 times and multiple locations to make sure that they could refund one of the strollers since we don't need 2 and the closest Target we live by is 1.5-2 hours away. I was told on the phone from the Layton Target location that all I needed was the order number from the registry since it was a gift item and I didn't have the actual receipt since I didn't purchase it. Once we arrived to this Target location to exchange the stroller, I was being polite and explaining the situation and within the first 3 sentences, the customer service worker gave me an attitude immediately and was talking down to me and repeating herself that the item could not be returned unless it was a Target specific registry. And how it's a big ticket item so they can't. I was never told any of this prior to arriving when I called them on the phone and tried to explain that. (I did not catch her name tag, but it was Saturday November 5th at 10:55 AM. She had long dark hair and an olive complexion and was about 5' 5" in height). I continued to try and explain if there was any way we could return it still since we drove almost 2 hours and called ahead. The customer service employee turned her back completely to me to explain incorrectly what was going on to her coworker who immediately came over after hearing her raise her voice at me. The new worker helped me and apologized for the inconvenience then told me I needed to track down who purchased the gift item for us and have them send a screenshot of the receipt with a barcode to get a in-store gift card refund was all. During the duration of the 15 minute ordeal, we were passed around to 3 different customer service workers to finally be able to return this item. Just an FYI, they will not refund cash, only in-store credit. Again, I love target, but this was the worst experience I have ever had in my years of ever dealing with them. Kind of like the last reviewer said, it's Target. It'd doesn't really need a review. This a good target. I have only ever had pleasant interactions with the employees. The layout of the store makes sense. There is ample parking and cart availability. The carts at this location seem to be fairly new and I have never gotten a bad one. The only downside of this particular target as opposed to the other ones in the area is that I feel products are not as well stocked/available. I am not sure if this target is busier and that's why products are routinely unavailable. I am not sure if it is poor ordering, or if there are just a few other people who like many of the same products as me who shop at this location. The other targets in the area routinely have the products I look for available, but they always seem far busier and are not laid out as efficiently as this one. read more

I'm from LA and have never seen a super target before. I really like this one and not because I'm starstruck for target. They have a wider selection of the wood Montessori type toys I like for my kid than any target I've been too. Also the clothing selection is better. Not to mention the store is just so much cleaner than those I've been to. The prices for food and produce seem comparable to those is any grocery store. Also a better selection of card games. Those of you around here giving this place low stars have super high expectations lol. I don't recommend you visit LA. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon to pick up a couple of things with my husband. Out of the 23 registers, there was only 2 open. Lines at the self checkout were 5+ people. People at self checkout had full carts because the wait was slightly shorter. Hire more people Target. read more

Target is a more upscale shopping experience than Wally World and many of the local grocery stores. This store is clean and inviting with a good mix between grocery and non-grocery items. They have a larger than average selection of ethnic foods to chose from as well as a great selection of meats. Many times you can find very good prices on the various meat cuts, some of which I don't find at other grocery stores. Target is not my day-to-day grocery store but they are a nice alternative when I am looking for a change of pace. Overall prices tend to be higher but good deals can be found. read more

This Target always feels clean, organized, and well stocked. In addition the staff is helpful and friendly. This is a sharp contrast to the Target in Centerville and I find myself driving the extra 15-20 minutes to Layton to shop at this Target, particularly when looking for specific items of a better range. Sadly, it also means I walk out with many more items than I anticipated- the Target "hole" as I call it. Oh...and a staff member told me the reason why this store is always clean and stocked is because they film many of their commercials at this store - true or not, it plausible! read more

Second time I've had to go to target in a week. Couldn't stay long enough to do my shopping, and today I actually put on long pants and shoes instead of shorts and sandals, it is so uncomfortably COLD in there it's ridiculous. Making sure I wasn't just being whiny, I actually asked a couple other shoppers and a male worker and they all agreed it was uncomfortable. Why in the heck do you have to keep it so cold? I've honestly never felt so uncomfortable in this target I wanted to puke. Not only did my roommate and I were followed pretty much our whole time being there, the woman at the self check out was extremely rude. I needed help with some eyelashes so get the security tag off as she snatched it from my hand she scanned our item again and when we asked her to fixed it she accused us of not scanning them. They were 3 different brands and 3 different prices. She fixed it and walked away. I don't understand why we were followed around the store. This has to be the largest Target I have ever been in and lucky for us, it was conveniently located across from where we were staying. Even though it is ginormous, the layout is well marked and there were plenty of open registers open. This location has a picture studio, an eyeglasses place, and a "real" grocery with a bakery section, deli section etc. I would come back to this Target without hesitation when back in the area. read more

This is a very nice Target store. The size of this store is much larger than any other typical Target that I have been in, and because of that, I have enjoyed seeing the room that they also had for their "clearance" section compared to a typical Target. From all of the amazing things that exist within this Target, I must compliment the readiness of its produce, deli, and bakery during the time I shopped here. I have been a Target fan for more than 25 years. Sadly this is the worst store I have ever shopped at. It is a huge store, probably with a great selection but I could never stay long enough to find out. This store smells!!!!!!!! I have been in 2x, both thru the home side and immediately get hit in the face with this horrible smell. Of course I'm a fan of Target. I will pay a little more and drive a little further to not have to deal with Walmart. The store is well laid out for as big as it is. My only real gripe is that guest services is right next to one entrance. I made the mistake of using the wrong door and had to walk the length of the store to do a return. Most other stores I've been in has guest services between the entrances. The Starbucks employees are great, I asked one about a certain drink, and we talked for about 5 minutes. read more

Mixed feelings. The guy in the electronics DEPT was great. But where are the rest of the employees? Store is very empty. Sign of the times. I tried for 15 minutes trying to get some help. 24 cash registers and 2 open. I use the open signs here as an economic indicator. 2 lights = poor. 5 lights = the economy is moving. 10 lights the economy is where it should be. 24 lights = America is great again MAGA. Since the remodel the store has really gone downhill. Whoever is supervising the remodel team should really be fired. Some aisles are completely empty while others are overstocked. Everything is where they shouldn't be (Uhm, dog food in the housekeeping aisle?) Their employees don't even know where anything is. To top it off, the Starbucks is a waste of time and money. I literally waited 17 minutes for a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. It was a waste of money because they literally just put in coffee, blended it with ice and put whipped cream and chocolate crumble on top. They didn't even put in the syrup. Really? I waited 17 minutes for this? It wasn't even crowded! I was really disappointed, because I was excited for them to open the Starbucks in the store. read more

I really enjoy coming to this target it has a variety of merchandise, it's clean and I like the fact that it has a grocery section. The staff is not that attentive though the last couple times I've gone there's associates just standing and talking with each other and do not greet or ask us if we need help.
