I have used this shop to tighten up saggy cushions and had individual pieces made by them. I'm always shocked how much cheaper the are for quality that is top knotch. This last week my daughter was watching dog/home sitting... and the dog tore up several of the cushions in the home. She was so distraught. I have no idea why high density furniture foam is so expensive. At about $70 per yard, if it's going to cost me damn near the same amount to fill two couch cushions and two arm rests by buying the foam from Joann's and doing it myself, I might as well spend the same $400 and have professionals do it for me. Ya know, people who actually know what they're doing. It would be quite an expensive and risky exploratory DIY project. Sofa Biz handled all the logistics for me. I didn't have to buy special scissors or glue or foam. All I had to do was drop off the custom made fabric pieces I had Etsy'ed, choose the firmness I wanted from store samples and they took it from there. They measured, cut and filled for me and I picked it up a few days later. I wish they were open for a few hours beyond the typical office hours but NBD. It all worked out and I love my couches that no one else in the world has! read more

I have used Sofa Biz twice -- once to get a chair slip-covered & cushion-refreshed, and just recently to get a leather chair's cushions re-stuffed. Their service is top-notch and they do a great job. We had them pick up then deliver the chair and their staff were professional and efficient. The chair looks fantastic -- they even reconditioned the leather! I will not do business with this company again. I had them do slipcovers for me and they had to re do them twice, threw away the inserts so that I can't take them off to clean them and the stuffing falls out every time I need take off the cover. Big bummer read more

What a gem Sofa Biz is. A very well hidden gem, that's for sure, but once you find them, what a joy of a place to work with! Their quality is outstanding, and I got a 60% discount because of checking in with Yelp on the fabric I chose! The staff was very communicative throughout the process, even when there was a slight delay, they told me that they could get me finished by the original completion date... and that was most needed for Super Bowl! Kudos to Vicki for all she was able to do for me! If you need something made and you want it to look nice, you certainly owe it to yourself to check out Sofa Biz! It's so much nicer than dealing with the big box furniture stores to have something custom made that you really like, and the prices are comparable to what you would pay at some giant store where everybody is on commission and really does not care about quality! read more

What a horrible experience! We tried to support local business instead of ordering the cushion online. When we placed the order we were told 2-3 weeks since everything was in stock. Three weeks later WE called to check the status of the cushion just to find out that the foam is on the back order and it might take another 2-3 weeks to have it done. After I complained, the owner said he will make sure it will be ready by the next business day. I asked to call me when it's available but never received the phone call. Finally I had to call AGAIN and AGAIN to make sure my order is being process. I know, I'm never going back there because 5 weeks for a small cushion is way too long. Don't make the same mistake I did, don't do business with Sofa Biz! read more

If you are considering Sofa Biz for a reupolstorery job, please don't waste your time or money. They are pretty competitive with their pricing, but the head ache , miscommunication , and quality of work are absolutely awlful! It took me 4 months to get a simple seat and back cushion done for a chair. Time frame promised was 4-6 weeks. After 7 weeks I did get a call to pick up my cushions, but when I got them home they switched the back cushion measurement for the seat. Back to the shop to return and reorder. Three weeks later back to get cushions and they did it again. Then they said they need the chair so back again with the chair and another 3 weeks, later emailed pictures showing back cushion to tall. So then they had to fix that. Then when I picked it up they rushed me out collected my money and said good bye,offered no discount. Got home and measured the back cushion it measured 2 1/2 inches to wide across the back, so it hangs over the wood back it sits on. This is just a summery of what happened. I didn't get into the many,many emails and phone calls I got asking me questions about measurement etc.......the owner said I was wearing him out! They couldn't get a job on simple cushions done right. My husband was so upset he tried to stop payment on the check. The check was promptly cashed the day I left the store. When I emailed the owner with the problem with the back cushion , he ignored me and never got back to me. Please do not go here. I probably could have forgotten about all the trouble I went through if the cushion had looked awesome and fit properly, but now I am left with a crummy looking cushion I have to look at everyday and now will have to take somewhere else to get fixed. read more

Horrible Experience! "Long time" is an understatement! I have given business three times to these guys. I feel a little stupid for going back more than once. The thing is, there is not that many options that i could find. I wish there was more reviews for these guys. The only one review before me said he was pleased besides the long time it took. "LONG TIME" is an understatement with these guys. I own a small RV business and i would to be giving these guys a ton of business if they could actually do what they say! The second job I took to them, they said they would be getting the fabric from back east. they said 7 business days. over two weeks latter nothing had showed up. I would call them every few days and it was always a different excuse. Meanwhile, I had a anxious customer that wanted to go camping in their new rv. long story short, my customer had to go in person after three weeks and get a different fabric that she didn't like as much, because it was the only thing in stock. And it still took them a week after that to install it. After that I thought never again, I had a nice talk with one of them and they said sorry. The problem is, I am to forgiving. I gave another job to them, this one I didn't need very fast. The cushion I gave them had two sides to it. After 5 WEEKS they called me and told me they looked at it and realized that there was two sides. They thought there was only one sided, and that was after having it for 5 weeks! They ended up telling me to come pick it up and they didn't want to work on it? So, if you have one job and don't need it done with in a month or so, and you don't care about customer service and you want to feel like your getting lied to a lot, then try these guys. I feel that I was very patient with these guys and I wanted to give them a lot of business. The sad thing is they don't seem to know very much about business and how to treat the customer. I would highly recommend you find someone else and stay as far away as you can from these guys. read more

We had two custom sofas made recently and they turned out beautifully. They were very good about helping us be happy with ALL of the details, such as testing durability and ease of cleaning of the fabric and a beautiful custom finish on the legs.
