House of a Jade paid attention to details of things that we would have not otherwise realized since it is a new build. They were able to really visualize what the space would be like once finished and help us to make the most of each room. I had a particular look in mind for each space and they've helped me to make it work in my space. They have been having a 50% off sale and I fell in love with a beautiful painting which I purchased for my birthday. I paid the asking price and they were to ship it to me in Australia. There were many signs in the shop saying everything was discounted. I had the perfect position for it in my bedroom just waiting for this beautiful work of art. I should have taken it with me and not trusted them to ship it for me. If I had walked out with it that would have been the end of it. My painting! Paid for ready to hang. Come Monday I got an email saying I could have a credit note to spend in the store or pay the other 50%. I responded that I wanted the painting sent as per our contract of sale which I had made with them. They then said I could have a total refund or pay the other 50%. I said I did not want this and my efforts to call them and speak with them were ignored. Then I received an email saying the refund had been done and i would get it in about 3 days. Again I rang to speak with the owner however she did not take my call or return my call as requested. I was also told they were not able to discount this artists work and they were sure I would understand that. No ... I do not. When I made the purchase the woman behind the counter was very explicit about the price and told me she had sent out an information sheet on all the paintings to their mailing list at the 50% price. I believe that someone else offered them more money for the painting and thus they negated my purchase and took the extra from another buyer. Of course I have no proof of this however it is the only thing that makes sense. I feel like I have been treated with contempt and would not recommend this company to anyone. They could not even return my phone calls.

Danielle is a terrible asset to this company and she is only happy when she is controlling you, in her quest for power. Unfortunately, if you do business here, you have to work with her. My advice is to go somewhere else because you deserve to be treated better. Danielle deliberately hangs up on us repeatedly, when we called. Her attitude needs serious help and I have referred some great clients to this company and a large remodeler, but their referrals end here today. My contractor was also very frustrated with Danielle and her scheduling authorities today and will look somewhere else for their next project.

I have been using Underfoot Flooring since to fix the wrongs. Deborah in scheduling is always on her game and helpful even when clearly busy. I had a disposal leak the day before I was scheduled to be away. I trust Underfoot so much, I had zero trepidation and only gratitude when Deborah was able to get Nate, a fantastic wood professional to come by and access the damage. Nate went above and beyond to make sure my house was safe while I was away. He even went and bought replacement batteries for one of his tools to measure moisture and returned to my house to look at floor content. He then went into the crawl space to check for water. Nate is another five star employee. Who really showed genuine concern and the ultimate professional. Matt is just as dedicated. He is working with me to replace and refinish. His knowledge and experience is vast. I appreciate how flexible and committed he is to providing the best product and working with my concerns. The Utah Design Center is a beautiful place. We are in the process of a pretty big remodel and was happy to walk through the doors. The receptionist was pleasant, greeted us, and asked how she could help. We told her we were looking for design ideas for tiling our new fireplace. She sent Chanelle to meet us in the tile area. We really enjoyed our time with Utah Design Center. Chanelle showed us some awesome tile and advised we visit DalTile and Esmer for samples. While at the Utah Design Center, we also got excited about lighting because of the various displays about the store. We asked Chanelle about various lighting options. We also asked Chanelle if the Utah Design Center offers general design consultancy. She said yes, they offer by-the-hour consultancy services - very cool! When we got home, we talked about the myriad of options and decided we really do want professional assistance to help establish a cohesive vision across textures, colors, shapes, designs, etc. So, I called the Utah Design Center, spoke with the receptionist, and asked for Chanelle. I left a voice message. A couple days later, I hadn't heard anything, so called again. I spoke with the receptionist, asked for Chanelle, and left a voice message. We never received a return phone call. I don't mind calling a second time when my first call is not returned, but there will not be a third. I have to say, there is no excuse to not return phone calls, let alone two. I mean, isn't this where it all starts? My wife and I were really excited after our visit and, frankly, we were surprised we did not hear back. Thank goodness there are a lot of really good designers in the area. We are working with someone else and are thrilled the direction our project is heading.
