This store is trash, absolutely no remorse nor taking responsibility for them not being able to do what any store should be able to do. First purchase came to pick up my order unfortunately they had issues with my order and returned it and then told me that I had to repurchase it after they returned it and told me I had to wait 3 to 5 business days to get my money back so couldn't do what I wanted to do with just picking up my order so I reordered two days later and then once I went to go pick up my order they said that the order is not ready and unfortunately there's nothing they can do but I can again cancel my purchase and pay for it right then and there because the store was closing mind you I was in the store for 45 minutes. The first day there was no apology for canceling my order or any of that information just unfortunately there's nothing we can do over and over again then the next time when they couldn't get my order after 45 minutes they again said unfortunately there's nothing they can do over and over again except cancel my order and repurchase it right then and there I'm sorry but I can't just return $1,000 and pay out of pocket another $1,000 waiting for it to come back into my account 3 to 5 days later this store is BS. Why not take responsibility for the crap trash that you guys are apologize and make it right. Not to mention as well both days I worked with different people so it means that they're culture is not just per one person it's across the board. My mom is older and had to get a new TV, and needed help setting it up, so they charged her an extra $130 to literally just plug it into the wall, and that was it. Never wanted to do this but wow i just wasted 20 minutes went to go buy a 3 pack fan set for my pc. On the app it had said that it was in stock but i couldn't find it so I went up to a worker and asked for help in the front of the store. He said he would have someone over there right away. 10 minutes go by and still nothing i decide to go to the checkout by all the laptops and pcs but they are full. So i wait another 10 and some people in front of me wanted something delivered to them on the other side of the store. Called and was told they could try and re-schedule for a week later. It was Black Friday and the crowds were out of control, but our experience was made great by Will at check out. He was so friendly and calm, and went the extra mile for us. I'm not happy about our new fridge from Best Buy. We've lived here 2 years and never seen a snake in our yard or garage. The day the fridge was delivered, it made such a loud noise, it scared me so badly, I jumped. It made the loud noise two more times, and I told my husband it had a short in it. The next day, a garden snake was directly in front of the fridge. After it crawled out of the wiring, I haven't heard the noise again. I'm extremely grateful the fridge is in the garage, or we would've had a snake inside our house. That's really disgusting. read more

I want to give a shoutout to the man who installed a new radio (purchased at Best Buy) in my Silverado. I just noticed that the USB port in my truck, (which had decided to disappear into the interior a year ago), had suddenly reappeared and was now firmly in place. I guess he noticed it dangling while he had the font panel off, and fixed it, just because he saw it wasn't where it belonged. Didn't say a word to me, either! I had also surprised him with a back up camera I wanted to have installed (the radio is back up camera ready) but their wasn't time in the slot scheduled. So he hooked it up and attached it to power on the radio side, then ran the wire to a side panel and showed how to get it to the underside of the truck so I could do it myself. On 2/12/2024 I was going away on a business trip. At last minute I checked my docking station, it was broken. I went to Best Buy. I spoke with an associate who assured me that the docking station they had would work with my model of laptop. I purchased that model of docking station. When I got to my destination I plugged in the docking station and my laptop didn't recognize it. I had my co-worker plug in the docking station into his laptop, his computer recognized it immediately. I use the USB-c port for other devices on my laptop and the port works. I was working in a remote location and the nearest Best Buy was a few hours away. I returned from trip on 3/2/2024. I went to Best Buy the next day on 3/3/2024. I attempted to return the docking station. The guy at the return register said he couldn't return it as it was a few days outside the return window. He got his manager. The manager arrived at the register. She took one look at my receipt and said it was outside the return window and then proceeded to immediately walk away. I didn't get a chance to explain anything. I called the Best But 800 number and I didn't get any help. They said I need to talk to the store manager. I tried to call the store. They don't take calls. I live 1 hour 20 minutes from the Riverdale store. I am not going to gamble driving down there to see if the manager is in. Best Buy needs to take the return. Their employee gave me the wrong information. Best Buy bills themselves as being the tech people, that has not been my experience. They are uninterested in taking care of the customer when they make a mistake. If this is not taken care of, this will be my last purchase with Best Buy. read more

I give them one star because they fixed my phone, but it was really inconvenient and wasn't worth it at all. I scheduled an appointment with the geek squad through apple to replace my phone battery, because they were close to my work and I thought it would make it easier... But I had to reschedule twice because I didn't want to leave my phone there overnight, and for the third appointment I made sure that it's at a time that they would have enough time to finish the job before closing. I even dropped off my phone an hour early, to give them extra time. But when I showed up to pick up my phone, after 4 hours, they said they just barely started working on it and I would have to come back tomorrow morning. Which messed up my plan to go out of town the next morning, and I had to stay in town to pick up my phone the next day around noon and had to leave my phone there overnight eventually. Not satisfied with the service and wished I took my phone somewhere else. read more

I am not the biggest fan of Best Buy but it does serve a purpose. There are places like Utah that do not have a local Fry's Electronics. Basically all you have for electronics is Walmart or Best Buy. When I needed a new desktop (without monitor) I checked both locations...even a couple local computer places. It seemed that half the time I was here they had no idea what they were talking about and the other half I would get someone who REALLY knew what they were talking about but you could never really know what you were going to get. Here is what I love about Best Buy...they have a good price match policy. When I finally found the HP Desktop I wanted I checked around and funny enough the best price on it was directly from HP. I went into the store and showed them how the computer was more than 100 bucks less online. They usually need a print ad to match a competitor but maybe because it was from HP they did not have a problem with it. They did try and sell me the Black Tie protection...(their extended warranty) but they were not overly pushy about it. I was happy enough about it that I ended up buying my Droid when it first came out here and then my car stereo stuff here when Christmas rolled around. All around a decent store...darn near great if you compare it to what is in the area. :0) read more

We came here on Thanksgiving night for a Doorbusters deal. We were very impressed with how Best Buy handled the entire process. We were probably about 75th in a line that eventually wrapped around the store. They had those "bike rack" style barricades set up along the line to prevent people from blending in with their friends and cutting in line. Employees came out in intervals to check on everybody and even brought out donuts for us. There were 2 Ogden police officers by the front doors, which served as an excellent deterrent for line cutters and trouble makes. Most impressive if all, when it was time to enter the store, rather than just open the doors and then wonder why a stampede ensues, (HELLO, TARGET!) they let people in 15 people at a time...then they would wait several minutes, and then let in 15 more people. This eliminated the pushing, shoving, and running through the store that is so typical with Black Friday sales. I tip my hat to Best Buy for their well thought out approach. read more

It is Best Buy not a bad place to go for movies on release week and that is mainly what I buy at Best Buy. I am part of the rewards program which does give some decent rewards for shopping there. If you want to see products in person Best Buy is not bad and it is one of the few electronics stores around. Staff and location is good and is what I have experienced at other Best Buy locations. I do like how they carry a variety of items and it is a decent place to get cell phones as well. Overall it is just an average electronics store that has nothing special. I do like some of their weekly deals and movie prices are hard to beat for new releases. read more

I came in to get a promotion for phones, we had just bought two and all the screen protectors, the cases and wireless chargers. We shopped here a lot and this was definitely a dissapointment because they ran a promotion just before we got our phones and then this one now and they are saying that we are not eleigable for any of the promotions and when asked about retur ing and rebuying i had to wait on a supervisor, probably just to see if I would hold out and give up.. but being a veteran of the Air Force I have a very particular set of skills that have been honned over the years for this very situation. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!! I called with a question after realizing I had paid more for an item than I thought I would. I just wanted to double check. I was told a manager could override the price for me. Then she hung up on me. None of my calls for the next hour were answered. My husband suggested I call with his phone and they immediately answered since they didn't recognize his number. When she realized it was me again she hung up. Pretty good place. I don't do here much. The DVD/blue ray section is pretty empty but maybe that is because evening is going digital. I bought a blue ray player here and it did not work well, it was really slow. I returned it with no issues, their returns are easy as long as you're within the time frame allowed. Don't fall into the trap of purchasing the Black Tie extended warranty on devices you purchase from Best Buy. I learned the hard way, that when you send an item in for repair, you relinquish ownership of that item, DESPITE carefully specifying that you want your unit returned to you. YEP (YELP), that happened to me. A sticky "k"......they somehow fried the motherboard during the THIRD redo, then (because it had gone back 3 times), decided to junk it out with NO authorization. And....customer service? FORGET about it. The new mgr of the geek squad....egomaniac, very very insulting. Where did my favorite CR Rep go? Oh yeah.......she couldn't work for the guy and left. One last thing......I'm told that if they can find the unit and they return it to me, as per my written instructions on the initial service order, the Black Tie Plan is null and void. This review applies to both the employees of Best Buy as well as the Samsung Reps. A year ago this past August, I went in to purchase the Note 10.1 which had been out for a week. It took me 20 minutes to educate the Best Buy employee on the device, and tell him that they DID have it in stock, and that I was not talking about the Note 2 phone. I feel like they know all there is to know about Apple devices, but they're utterly useless if you need help with any other device or product. Luckily I had educated myself before going in, otherwise I would have believed what he was saying. Instead I purchased the same device from Amazon because I didn't feel like supporting Best Buy after that experience. This past saturday, my friend went in to look at a few tablets, and the Samsung rep told him that the new Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition wouldn't be out for at least another year, and then he tried to charge my friend the full 500.00 for the year old Note 10.1. Luckily my friend called me and I was able to tell him that wasn't true at all and the rep from Samsung finally looked on their computer to learn that it was going to be in stock later this month. I could go on and on about issues i've had with Best Buy but it really doesn't make a difference because nothing changes with them. Their return policy is the worst i've ever seen for a retail chain, their employees make the shopping experience harder than if they weren't there at all, and one time my dad was there to buy a computer and the employee helping him admitted to having an earpiece that he was receiving coaching on from another employee. I work from home using my HP laptop I bought at Best Buy a couple of years ago. Most of the time I have zero problems but this week was horrid. I was moving to North Ogden and had too much to do to mess about with even something so simple as my computer updates! By Friday, I was completely unable to get onto the interweb even though I had internet access. I tried every browser and spent about an hour and a half crawling all over my laptop, searching through my phone to find a solution until I'd had it! I was willing to pay a professional to fix it, because my work was piling up! I drove to Riverdale to a Best Buy I bought a different computer at years ago. Justin plugged my laptop in and checked a few things while explaining patiently Windows is sending out craploads of updates right now getting everyone ready for Windows 10 which launches next week. My putting off my updates was the problem. Justin did a thorough job double checking some things until he was satisfied it wouldn't cause me any problems. And he was right because here I am the next day, taking the time to post this, so you can see how professional the staff is and by the way, NO CHARGE! Even better! In the next couple of months I'm getting another laptop for a specific client I work with. You can bet Best Buy will be on my list to check out! read more

I'm so grateful to Best Buy and their proven track record that has never failed to deliver me a sincere and above expectation experience. Recently, I needed to rely upon the Geek Squad Protection and Support Plus plan I purchased on my computer. From the moment I dropped it off, the local Geek Squad representatives were very understanding and helpful. The process was quicker than I expected and progress could be tracked online notifying key activities. Throughout the experience, I interacted with a number of different Best Buy employees, including management. I was impressed by their kindness and genuine desire to help me. In fact, one moment that stands out is actually something not related to my situation but quite telling in regards to the nature of the Best Buy team that had assisted me. As I was walking out of the store, the very same store manager that had wholeheartedly aided me earlier was out in the parking lot, 15° weather, tidying up the area and retrieving shopping carts. He took on a task that could have easily been delegated, but instead, spared others from the cold and did it himself. I thought it fitting that he was the one to wish me well as I departed... and I knew he meant it. I am a small business owner and very dependent on the efficiency, reliability and performance of my computer. Best Buy ensured that I was back up and running with the peace of mind that my computer would perform as needed. A special thanks to the Ogden,Utah, Best Buy Team! I always support this store because any time I need specific help or "above and beyond" type action, these guys step up. Most recently I ordered a 40" TV from bestbuy.com, and it arrived damaged. Knowing there were none in stock anywhere within 250 miles of me, I took it to the Riverdale store anyway hoping they could help somehow.
