Im so happy I found this place. Wifi, a wonderfully cozy ambiance, indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff. Loads of stuff for sale to peruse and a pretty extensive flavor menu for any drink you could want. The coffee was made super well, nothing was over or under pulled, and the breakfast sammie I got was fresh made and flavorful! I think you can get salsa and stuff on the side but ill have to ask. The short: This is the kind of place that you think of when you hear neighborhood coffee shop. Got awesome waffles(hurt my wallet though). The long: This is the kind of place that you can imagine someone coming here every day for years. Some place that's so deeply intertwined with a random neighborhood and you wouldn't ever know about it unless you came here. It's got character, the scratches in the walls, the adorable tables and chairs, adorable trinkets and treats you can buy, nice baristas up front and some awesome hot chocolate and waffles. Now the only reason I give it 4 instead of five is because it is $6 per waffle, I don't love it but I will admit that they'd get me paying that same $6 every time I went in there. But as I said the aesthetic was perfect. Especially for a coffee date or just taking a seat and reading a book. Omg this place is the most epic coffee shop ever. I have been a barista for 5 years now and am pretty picky to my demise we are traveling from Washington and picked Kaffe Mercantile to stop in! Service was superb, Ellie was amazing and so patient with me, and the coffee was fire! I got espresso over ice with cream and she let me add the cream and my husband got a hot americano! We also tried the avo toast with egg and it was delish and fresh, only complaint is the toast was a little burnt but it made up for it in flavor, and it was like a nice thick toast yk. Was staying across the street in Ogden for a couple of days and stopped by each morning for drinks and pastries. This place is located in a cute and quiet neighborhood, and is pretty cozy. The shop itself offers a warm and welcoming environment and is bustling with customers trying to get their morning fix. Although the shop is a bit small, there is plenty of seating and an open area to wait for your items. Additionally, art and merchandise line the walls, so there is always something to look at. I personally ended up buying a sticker of a painting made by a local artist. As for the drink/pastries I ordered a pumpkin chai with their house made puree and was not disappointed. I enjoyed it a lot. The only downside was it had a slightly odd aftertaste. As for the pastries, I had a blueberry banana muffin and a pumpkin turnover which were just alright. Staff are friendly and personable, even during the chaos of a rush. Lowkey though, the minimum option to tip being 20% is kind of crazy, considering that it is /just/ a small coffee shop. Still gave the tip anyway. Overall, it was a good experience and I enjoyed my drink both mornings I was here. I see why it is always so busy. I came to Kaffe Mercantile on a weekday right after they opened. I was staying in the neighborhood, so it was a lovely walk from my rental house for coffee. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was yummy (croissant, sausage, egg, etc.) The barista was extremely friendly, and introduced herself by name. I stayed in the shop, and did some reading while I finished my mocha and sandwich. The little corner up near a front window was an ideal spot to spend the first several minutes of my day. I highly recommend this local spot for a pick-me-up and a bite. read more

I had an excellent iced oat milk latte here. My friend comes here often and says it's her favorite place. I can't remember the name of the bar I got, but it was such a great treat after a long hike. Never in my 76 years have I visited a more unorganized and expensive place. I was invited to have a lovely time with the girls up in one of your rooms and we had to wait for our coffee. Great breakfast/coffee spot! My wife and I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We've lived in or around Ogden for years and can't believe this was the first time we've been here. We both got bagel breakfast sandwiches on cheese bagels; one sausage and one bacon. Both were excellent, though the sausage patty was a bit smaller than I like. The bagels themselves were great, eggs cooked well, and other toppings were on-point! I had one of their medium roast coffee's and my wife got a hazelnut latte. Both were excellent. The little tables out front were a great setting for a nice breakfast. We'll definitely be back and I recommend everyone gives it a shot! read more

Favorite coffee shop in Ogden! SO GOOD! The vibe of small town coffee shop, it has a great variety of delicious coffees, teas and food! At a reasonable price! Where can you get Avocado toast for less than $5! I'm excited to go back and try something else! It was a Saturday afternoon that I went and it only looked like one worker but they were very kind and gave great recommendations on what to try! I had the specialty drink from the valentines menu and it was good! Probably ordered the wrong thing but my pumpkin latte and my avocado toast were pretty bleh (burned tasting?) My latte had a really bad after taste... really not sure why :( And my Avocado toast with tomato and mozzarella was awful. The bread was obviously burned black and they still served it. It was rock hard. I ended up just eating the toppings. I also love that tipping is 20/25/30 percent options when you aren't getting waited on at all. I picked up my own coffee, our plates were dropped off on the table without care or even asking if we needed anything else and we had to clear our own table.... I absolutely love kafe merc!!! It's the perfect place for a Saturday coffee and Avocado toast, or to get some work done during the week. It's the ultimate comfy cozy vibe you look for in coffee shops and they have plenty of seating throughout, as well as on the patio. Everyone who works there is so kind, and they have a huge menu that will satisfy all! I highly recommend their O-Town toast, or their quiche! read more
